00:00:00Teams I need you on my team. Oh my god. I need you to choose team pay
00:00:07We need like referee outfits and a whistle
00:00:14Hi, my name is Annalise I'm 27 years old from Adelaide bling bling I work in a small fashion boutique
00:00:20I do the photos for the website and the social media
00:00:24It's so much fun being at a dress-up. I get to put on different outfits all day long with the work like what a job
00:00:30Bling I'm engaged to a professional MMA fighter
00:00:36His name's Antonio and we've been together for five years
00:00:39We met through friends and I was completely off him because he was a professional fighter and I was like who does that?
00:00:45That's the weirdest job ever. And then of course I got to know him and I got to know the sport
00:00:50And so yeah, I'm getting married this year
00:00:53Antonio you're a an MMA fighter. Yes. I don't know what that is
00:00:58Essentially, it's two men inside of a cage fighting over a paycheck
00:01:03That's simple now. It's a mixed martial arts. It's a bit of fun time to go on the weekend
00:01:09Not a normal job. So you guys travel a lot because of this, right?
00:01:12So he trains in Florida
00:01:13Which means we travel back and forth between Australia and Florida quite a bit
00:01:16Which is crazy for me because obviously I sing so when I go overseas, I'm trying to just pretty much sing wherever I can
00:01:23I
00:01:25Just always had this vision of doing more with my singing. So that's why I'm hopeful that this is a positive opportunity for me
00:01:34For my blind audition, I'll be singing into you by Ariana Grande
00:01:38It is a big song. I think a lot of people are expecting a lot when you sing an Ariana Grande song
00:01:45So I feel like it's a lot of pressure and
00:01:47I feel like I'm gonna freak out if the chair does turn because I just can't even imagine it
00:01:54I think it's gonna be so scary, but I hope that I have what it takes. I just want to sing
00:02:08Let's go baby, let's go
00:02:24Good luck
00:02:30I'm so in you I can barely breathe
00:02:39And all I want to do is to fall in
00:02:43Indeed
00:02:47Oh, baby, look what you studied the temperatures rising
00:03:14A little less conversation and a little more touch my body
00:03:33Conversation
00:03:43So come
00:03:46Oh
00:04:09My name is Annalise Suda, I'm 27 years old from Adelaide, South Australia
00:04:15Wow, first off Ariana Grande is super hard to tackle and you did an incredible job like your pitch was beautiful
00:04:23those notes were clear and
00:04:25Yeah, when I turned around what a beautiful girl you are. The one thing I'd love to see from you
00:04:30I wanted to feel you like that getting it
00:04:33Really wanting to do that. I think my nerves just sort of kicked in
00:04:36I definitely felt those nerves and I saw the facts of your chain
00:04:39I mean if you know you're nervous and you know that song takes a lot out of you
00:04:43There's a lot of breath control that's involved. Sometimes you have to make that decision to just hold back
00:04:47Yes, and I totally get it, but I would love to see those two things melt together
00:04:56So, thank you you have such a classic pop voice and I have yet to have that classic pop voice on my team
00:05:03I need you on my team. I would love to work with you. It would be a blast. I think
00:05:08Can I just say it's amazing to see you here because obviously can't fight the moonlight was one of my favorite songs
00:05:16Traveling
00:05:17Overseas with my fiance. We've been in America
00:05:19He's a pro MMA fighter and we came across an old literally looked exactly like a coyote ugly bar
00:05:25I was like
00:05:28Didn't get on the bus I feel like I never got my chance. So we need to do that
00:05:32I think I might have to take you out to a bar
00:05:38You've got some work to do Kate, I know this is making me a bit uncomfortable. I was just mesmerized
00:05:44I wanted to dive into the pool of your voice and just stay in there for a long time. I think you made the right choice
00:05:52Not moving around actually, you know
00:05:54And I think we have seen quite a few other artists go wrong with that trying too much too soon
00:06:00This show is yeah the voice and we can't see you. Yes. I think it guys 100% right, you know, let's save that
00:06:06That's us the two of us. Yes save that
00:06:10I can hear your voice going all sorts of different places. I mean at the pop thing, obviously
00:06:17That's where you live naturally and easily, but I can also hear you sing a country. I mean, I possibly shouldn't have said that
00:06:33You just have such a natural
00:06:35Instrument I would love to have you on team cake
00:06:41My team is closed
00:06:42my team is full which is a shame because that vocal was so clean and so
00:06:47yummy and shimmery and buttery and it was flawless now, I will offer one piece of
00:06:55Constructive is that if I were walking by like the outside of the building
00:07:00I would have thought that was the Ariana Grande track playing the one thing I will say and that's not a
00:07:05This at all because I know that's amazing voices right now that we have in contemporary pop music
00:07:09You didn't quite make it your own. Yes, but I bet you can know it definitely and moving forward
00:07:16Picking one of these two amazing coaches is which coach do you feel is gonna help make sure you make these things signature?
00:07:22How are you going to be an artist on this competition as opposed to a great singer? Yeah
00:07:28So it's already enough. Thank you. Yeah. Thank you so much
00:07:35And meet you and look you in the eye and tell you how beautiful you are
00:07:50You know wait for you
00:07:54What to do to do guy we need like referee outfits and a whistle, you know
00:08:00I need you on my team. Oh my god. I need you to choose team. Hey, I need a pop artist
00:08:13I am so so on it. Oh
00:08:18My god, this is so hard I have to go
00:08:21I
00:08:46Mean you got on your knees you got on you
00:08:51Tables will turn
00:08:55I'm not clapping
00:09:09Oh my gosh, she has such a piercing beautiful tone. She was so smooth with those notes
00:09:16I mean Ariana Grande super hard to tackle. So she's such a great job
00:09:22Oh
00:09:25Drinks on at least
00:09:27Drinks. Oh, come on, man. She's the star. I'm feeling amazing. I think I have some really
00:09:34Kind of a really eclectic group of people very different like in all their different styles. I finally have a great pop girl on my team
00:09:42And I only have one spot left, but I'm very excited to see who I end up with
00:09:52Should come here mate
00:10:04So excited I
00:10:06Might scream hopefully not. I do need to sing. Unfortunately, so
00:10:12My name is Emma Duncan. I am 18 years old and I have my dog Kobe
00:10:16He's my best friend and he is also my emotional support animal
00:10:20He alerts me when I'm feeling dizzy and when I'm gonna pass out and I really don't know where I would be without him
00:10:29When I was 15 years old my life did get flipped upside down I
00:10:34Was diagnosed with acute recurrent pancreatitis
00:10:38One day I was just at school and the next day all of a sudden I was just in
00:10:43This enormous amount of pain like pain that I had never felt before and pain that I
00:10:49eventually had to get used to and I think it really knocked me for six because I
00:10:58Went from being a
00:11:00Normal teenager to just being tube fed and being wheeled on a wheelchair
00:11:07The only things that made my reality bearable was Kobe and
00:11:13Just being able to sing that was the one thing I could do. I could still sing
00:11:18But singing can be painful for me. It does hurt and I do get extremely dizzy when I hit a high note
00:11:30I'm hoping the pain doesn't get the better of me in my audition. That is my biggest fear
00:11:37It's something that I'm quite nervous about
00:11:43Pain definitely has the potential to make my voice shake in not a good way
00:11:53But it is literally my dream to be here
00:11:57I've worked really hard. So I am just hoping that I can do it
00:12:07Oh
00:12:37You
00:12:49That's a good boy, you're right sit down sit down. There's a dog
00:12:59Promise the world and I fell for it. I put you first
00:13:08To my father's saying off came my car
00:13:17I'll stop this sign
00:13:22Wow glasses all distorted
00:13:29You got off
00:13:33It wasn't yours
00:13:37Go into it
00:13:45This
00:14:07Oh
00:14:29It's good
00:14:37Oh
00:14:42My name's Emma Duncan, I'm 18 years old and I'm from Melbourne
00:14:49If you got over here with you, oh, that's that's my best friend he's Kobe he's a bit antsy at the moment
00:14:54Oh
00:15:05He is my absolute world, yeah. Yeah. I love him very much. He got me through absolutely everything
00:15:10I've been through so feel super lucky and stoked to have him here and just be here in front of you guys
00:15:14Yeah, is he service animal? Um, he's an emotional support animal. Yeah, it's actually been a pretty poor time for me lately
00:15:19I've had lots of issues with my health and I'm in constant pain and there's all sorts of stuff going on
00:15:25But yeah
00:15:26he
00:15:26kind of just taught himself to alert me when my heart rates elevated and when I'm feeling dizzy and he knows when I'm gonna be
00:15:32Sick before anyone else can tell me so yeah, I'm really blessed to have him
00:15:38I feel like your dog. He wants to be on stage with you
00:15:49Oh my god
00:15:53This is making me miss my baby
00:15:56I
00:15:58Absolutely love that song
00:15:59That's one of my favorite songs that you chose to sing but I have two spots left on my team and look I was close
00:16:06But I'm looking for the perfect voice and I felt there are a few rhythmic issues going on in the verse
00:16:14Something I really love about that song is the like the sort of the triplet feel
00:16:20And I feel like you were sitting way behind the beat
00:16:23yeah, some of it felt like a cool choice and then other places it just felt like
00:16:28You like you were struggling like I was like it's a track. Yeah, I think it's just more experience for you
00:16:33Honestly, it's just to like hone your craft. Yeah get some more experience underneath your belt and come back. Thank you
00:16:42Yeah, you know my team's closed, you know, I did we didn't turn around but I felt your
00:16:47commitment to the song and
00:16:49Hats off to you for coming today. Thank you. Despite challenges that you've had when you follow music as medicine
00:16:56It's kind of the most amazing thing. So thanks for coming and sharing your gift
00:17:12Yeah, good job honey, you did so well
00:17:16I miss my dog
00:17:19You know how hard it is to get a dog from the States into Australia
00:17:33Okay, they're pulling no punches I have one spot left on my team so do I more importantly I do
00:17:42as a massive final parade of others a
00:17:4716 year old songbird. My ultimate dream is to become a powerhouse singer. Just like Mariah Carey
00:17:55I've always been way too nervous to sing in front of anyone and a karaoke queen
00:18:01This is definitely a big chance for me to show myself that I'm good enough
00:18:06Sing for the last remaining spots on team Kate and team Leanne
00:18:16I
00:18:23Did she have one more now, yeah, yeah, and I've got two to go. Can you imagine being the auditionees right now?
00:18:31Knowing there's only three left. This is gonna be wild. Yeah, and there's a lot riding on this decision
00:18:37We're getting to the pointy end of the blinds. Yeah last day. The blinds is always
00:18:42The most fierce, I think yeah, especially when you got one left you're like that needs to be special. Yeah
00:19:00That was a really solid performance
00:19:02I think we're just starting to get to that point where we're being really really picky about what we're looking for on our team
00:19:09But don't let this discourage you at all. You did a fantastic job
00:19:21But baby, I just need one good one
00:19:29Don't you give me what I'm
00:19:32I think the nerves just got in the way. Yeah
00:19:37Yeah, but that's okay you should just take this as a great learning experience
00:20:00Baby
00:20:07I
00:20:08Can tell you're a joyful guy and we were grooving back there totally
00:20:12It was just a little bit of lack of control for me that the reason I didn't turn around but you're such a joy to
00:20:17Watch you so much. Yeah, I was totally grieving in my seat, too
00:20:20But it felt like maybe a little tiny bit of breathlessness
00:20:24Through the song which is totally understandable in this nerve-wracking situation. That's why I didn't turn
00:20:31I think you need a couple more years under your belt do as many gigs
00:20:36As you possibly can but I think this is just the beginning for you
00:20:41Thank you
00:20:44Thanks guys
00:20:48It was definitely disappointing not seeing the chairs turn
00:20:56Hearing their feedback from the coaches definitely was really uplifting and I think I'm just gonna keep at it, you know
00:21:01I think there's more to come
00:21:03My name is Nick Jade, I am from Brisbane and you won't believe it, but I am almost 40 years old
00:21:10I'm just a young spring chicken
00:21:13Music has always been a massive part of family life for me from a very young age
00:21:17I remember picking up a violin and in fact before that played piano
00:21:21Even to this day. I've got three kids will jam at home. Just
00:21:26Enjoying music together is super fun at home. Yeah, it's really awesome
00:21:34If I was to be able to further my career as a solo musician
00:21:38I'd love to be able to tell my own stories through music and it would mean so much to me to be able to teach
00:21:44My kids that anything is possible. If you give it a go, that's why I've decided to do the voice this year
00:21:55I really hope that the coaches connect with my performance and that I can turn the chair tonight because I do feel like I've got
00:22:01A lot to give and the opportunity to be mentored by one of those coaches would be phenomenal
00:22:27Oh, it's a baby
00:22:31So sweet
00:23:02Oh
00:23:08He's away from me, you know, I don't find this stuff amusing anymore
00:23:31Oh
00:23:33Oh
00:23:58Hello, hello did your name Al my name isn't Al but my name is Nick
00:24:02I'm a dad from Queensland. I'm 39
00:24:07Now that I can see you you seem like such a lovable character and the song makes sense
00:24:12Yeah, thank you. My cheeks are still hurting. Yeah, it was it was really really
00:24:18Contagious your joy. Thank you and just the energy behind it, but I think with that song choice
00:24:24It's sort of a bit monotone. It doesn't really give you the opportunity to show what your voice can really do
00:24:30I just needed to hear some more shades and colors. And again, yeah, we're at the pointy end. I've only got two slots left and
00:24:38That's why I didn't turn but I really enjoyed it. No worries. Thank you very much. I agree. We were totally dancing back there
00:24:44I mean, I totally enjoyed listening to you. I I don't know if I would have ever chosen that song
00:24:50But I enjoyed it and I you definitely can sing there's no question about that. Thank you
00:25:00I
00:25:05Just want to go and hug him I know I feel the same way
00:25:11Still to come
00:25:15Performances hit the stage
00:25:18That was epic. Yeah, that was world-class singing
00:25:23Sending Kate and Leanne into a showdown. I have one spot left
00:25:30So do I more importantly I do
00:25:35He's a bit self-absorbed get the popcorn out
00:25:49I only have one spot left and you know, I think I would love to find a really great female voice
00:25:55I just love people who are unique
00:25:56I'm always looking for somebody who can give me goosebumps can make me cry can make me want to get up and dance
00:26:03It's just all about the emotion. So
00:26:05Yeah, we'll see what happens
00:26:09We're nearing the teams being full
00:26:12That's stinking. Yeah, it's a whole lot more pressure
00:26:16But you can't even be in control of you just kind of want someone to turn around now like anyone
00:26:26I'm Latisha and I'm 35. Oh, I love going on cruise ships. That's my favorite holiday
00:26:34I'm always singing on the cruise ship. I enter every single karaoke competition. I just love to sing
00:26:42Singing to me is my life
00:26:44But it's really helpful me to believe in myself
00:26:47I've had so many setbacks
00:26:49My
00:26:52Husband I have been married for 10 years and IVF been such a huge struggle
00:26:58But eight years ago we were blessed with our
00:27:02daughter Charlie
00:27:06She'll crush it. Yeah, I
00:27:08Think so too. She'll be amazing. I
00:27:11Say to her you saved mom and she sees mom you saved me
00:27:16And so the song I'm singing today is always remember us this way by Lady Gaga
00:27:21When I sing the song I always think of my family
00:27:26We're proud of you
00:27:29There's a whole lot of pressure I'm so scared of
00:27:34Not making it or not being good enough
00:27:38But this is definitely a big chance for me to be able to show myself that I'm good enough
00:27:46Regardless of what anybody else sees
00:27:50I'm just gonna pretend I'm singing in the shower because it's easy to sing in the shower
00:28:11Let's go mama
00:28:16Oh
00:28:33Make me wanna catch
00:28:46Every time we say goodbye, baby
00:28:52Let's go when the sun goes down
00:29:00How always
00:29:16Oh
00:29:40And the bad
00:29:43I
00:30:00Always remember this way
00:30:13Oh
00:30:31Hi gorgeous, what's your name? I'm Letitia. I'm 35 and I'm from New Zealand Letitia
00:30:42That was epic. Yeah, you just laid it all out on that
00:30:52Were you nervous I really was nervous. Ah, I didn't think anyone would turn for me. What what?
00:31:00Your voice is bonkers. Like it's so good bonkers are like marbles in New Zealand
00:31:05In
00:31:10My American vernacular that's like it's crazy. Yeah, it's like bananas
00:31:14By the way, Adam was not throwing his shoe at you because you don't have any on
00:31:19No, it's something that when someone sings the house down and tears a song apart in the best way you throw a shoe like good
00:31:27God
00:31:30Honestly, I'm mad that I don't have any more
00:31:33I'm
00:31:35Disappointed that I don't have any more space on my team because you're you're a beast that was amazing. That was so stunning
00:31:46How long have you been performing I've had moments where I like sing and then I go back under a rock
00:31:51Oh, why what what makes you want to crawl back under a rock my love just what people say
00:31:57If
00:31:59You're really good at something people will pull you down
00:32:02Mm-hmm, and I I made the mistake of listening to them for so long
00:32:07That it actually disabled me that I didn't get to share this gift with everyone. That's over now. Yeah
00:32:18And any and anybody
00:32:20Anybody that pops off with anything negative is simply jealous. Trust me. You are
00:32:26Absolutely, beautiful you have a gorgeous gorgeous voice and I just felt every bit of you in that song and
00:32:33If you can do that with some nerves, I wonder I
00:32:37Don't wonder I know what you can do when you come even more into your own
00:32:43Because there's so much power there and there's this earthy raspy like just the kind of a lived-in
00:32:50Feeling and it's just it's so natural for you
00:32:54I have one spot left on my team. She's a bit self-absorbed
00:32:59I absolutely am when it comes to wanting to work with this woman. Yes, and I I would do anything to work with you
00:33:10Most of all I'd love to get to know you because you're my kind of lady because you've got you bare feet and I go
00:33:15On stage all the time with bare feet. And so you and I are soul sisters. I have a feeling
00:33:24To the palms
00:33:27Who do we have here who's with you? This is my beautiful husband and our daughter Charlie
00:33:36She wants to be a singer too
00:33:40How old are you Charlie? Hey, hey, I have an eight-year-old that's something we've got in common
00:33:49That was world-class singing
00:33:55I
00:33:56Felt every word of it and every choice you made vocally was emotionally
00:34:03Driven you're you're nearly there. You're nearly there
00:34:06And in fact, I'm kind of glad that you're 35 because you've stepped into that song from this beautiful lived
00:34:13Perspective and you can hear everything you've been through in your voice and you're finally at that stage
00:34:19Where you can own it and that really shines through and it's powerful very powerful and I I need you on my team
00:34:26That was stunning. I'm stunned
00:34:34Is this the part where I make the decision
00:34:40This is it and I'm just saying, you know, I would do anything
00:34:45You name it just name it really
00:35:16Is this the part where I make the decision
00:35:25This is it
00:35:41I'm gonna choose Leanne
00:35:45I
00:35:53Was so excited for you, you know, you're the same hand you're cooking
00:36:02I'm actually gonna come back with you. You can breathe now. I
00:36:06Broke the stage. Yeah, big slash in it. Oh, yeah. I'm so sorry. Oh god. Just take it out
00:36:16She's you hear what she did I heard every night. Yeah, I mean that first one I was like, oh
00:36:24That's amazing, I feel like I jumped on my block to play there are some pros to holding
00:36:31It's called restraint
00:36:45In their face
00:36:57Thank you for tuning oh my gosh, you are well deserving well well deserving you're just gonna blossom from here
00:37:04Yeah, definitely. Thank you so much. It's so nice to meet you. I can't wait to work with you
00:37:08Thank you. Yeah, nice to meet you guys
00:37:11I
00:37:13'm just so excited to have both of the coaches turn for me and really excited to be working with me and I
00:37:21Just still can't believe that. I'm gonna be on the voice
00:37:28Patty to baby. So you're hungry for pizza. Yeah, should we get him cheese?
00:37:41I
00:37:51Feel like my team really shaped up beautifully. It's very eclectic which really speaks to who I am
00:38:02Natalie has this like powerhouse rock voice
00:38:10Here you hold out those notes with such power and passion
00:38:15Your voice could sing anything. I can't wait to use that power of a voice on some insane songs
00:38:25She's another one of my big voices I have a lot of big voices on my team which I love
00:38:40So young you have so much potential so much ahead of you, oh my god, I'm overwhelmed
00:38:47There's a lot of young talent on my team that I think has a lot of potential my name is cookie Robinson
00:38:51I'm 16 years old
00:38:55I've got some great singer-songwriters
00:38:59Your voice is so soothing you can kind of tell that you've been doing this for a while and you just feel like right at home
00:39:05Thank you
00:39:10Duncan had me in tears
00:39:16There's like a really ground-to-earth equality about him that I really love and I love that he's a storyteller
00:39:23You really know who you are and clearly you have the heart to move people
00:39:28Did you see this crowd with there really is a future for you as an artist and I would love to help you build that
00:39:35I
00:39:40Think I came into this wanting a variety of different artists and
00:39:45Here in Australia, there's so much incredible talent and I wasn't really expecting
00:39:55Larissa is probably the most surprising her voice was like a spiritual experience for me
00:40:01You took me to this otherworldly place with your voice it was so powerful and so just stunning
00:40:09There's so many beautiful classic ways to play around with that voice so yeah, I I can't wait to work with her
00:40:23Ruben is
00:40:25He is something special like really really something special. I just absolutely adore you
00:40:31I
00:40:33Had goosebumps from the moment you opened your mouth. I just feel every ounce of him when he sings which is my favorite kind of artist
00:40:48To have
00:40:50Several artists that have that extra something really any of us could win, but I think we might be able to pull it out on team
00:40:56Liam
00:41:00Oh
00:41:07Coming up
00:41:08It's a fight for the final spots on team Kate
00:41:15This is the biggest performance of my life
00:41:19Hopefully I have what it takes
00:41:22As the competition it's fever pitch
00:41:28This is by far I think the best time we've ever seen on the show
00:41:47I can't believe the blinds nearly done
00:41:50We're down to the pointy end and
00:41:52I have ten artists on my team. I have two to go. I'd really love to find someone with a really really
00:42:02Distinctive tone that I've never heard before that's what I'm very excited about today
00:42:09I'm Nathan. I am 21, and I'm from Sydney
00:42:13My passion is music. I love music
00:42:16Music is definitely my escape from reality and my escape from the world. I
00:42:22Started singing online and posting videos because I think I do get anxious
00:42:30When I go out to public places I do get a lot of stares and a lot of pointing fingers
00:42:37It does kind of get to me it hurts I
00:42:42Was born with achondroplasia, which essentially means I
00:42:47Have smaller arms and legs and that makes me short-statured
00:42:51I do consider myself a homebody in many ways home is home is my safe space
00:42:58my little pod of
00:43:00love and happiness and support
00:43:04Leaving my house just on an everyday basis is
00:43:08daunting enough
00:43:09So something like this
00:43:11Stepping on to the voice stage plus a live audience
00:43:15Plus everyone else in Australia watching. This is the biggest performance of my life
00:43:24It's my now-or-never chance
00:43:30Is really terrifying
00:43:39Oh good luck, baby
00:43:49Counting days counting days since my love
00:43:58Every breath that I've been taking since you left feels like a waste on me
00:44:03And
00:44:07I've been holding on to hope that you come back where you can find some peace
00:44:16As every word that I've ever spoken since you left feels like
00:44:25I've been told I've been told to get you off my mind, but I hope I never lose the bruises that you love me
00:44:34Oh my lord. Oh my lord. I need you by my side
00:44:40Must be something
00:45:03Is
00:45:05And
00:45:28Wow, I really felt that deeply thank you. What's your name? Hi
00:45:33My name is Nathra. I'm 21 and I'm from Sydney
00:45:39That song was was gorgeous. It was deeply
00:45:43Emotionally connected. I love that sort of sweet spot in your range. You sang with so much heart
00:45:50There are a few kind of wobbly moments on pitch
00:45:53And that's why I took a while to turn around because I was unsure. Yeah, but then I just
00:45:59Got it in the gut and I couldn't help myself
00:46:03You're amazing
00:46:08It was beautiful what a great song choice to for your voice
00:46:12Why did it mean so much to you?
00:46:15Obviously, I'm very different to every other person in this room. I think as a person
00:46:20I've just faced so many I guess challenges and hurdles through my life and
00:46:26I've
00:46:28Not been able to see myself
00:46:31If I presented anywhere on screen and I think more than doing this for myself, I'm doing this so I can
00:46:39Create that I guess confidence and empowerment among other people who feel different and who are different and to make them
00:46:47Confident enough to do what they love
00:46:53What's your background with singing so music has been a very big part of my life for pretty much since forever
00:47:00I started learning South Indian classical music. Oh, wow. What I really love to do and what I'm really passionate about is
00:47:08Mixing the elements and styles that I pick up from different
00:47:12Genres and putting them together and creating things like mashups and I love to hear that
00:47:19Yeah, please yeah
00:47:21I
00:47:24Met you in the dark you let me up
00:47:29You made me feel as though I was enough
00:47:35We dance the night away. We dream too much
00:47:44You were throwing up and it up it up
00:47:51Many
00:48:07Thank you for coming out here and sharing your heart and your beautiful soul with us our differences as
00:48:13We get older and we really understand like that's what makes us special no matter what they are and you are beautifully special
00:48:20You're such a beautiful lady. Thank you so much for being here
00:48:23You guys you're in good hands
00:48:32And thank you
00:48:44She really lit up when she started singing, you know Indian music like it was like, I don't know there's such a cool
00:48:51Cool really cool
00:49:08Well, only one spot left Jesus a lot riding on this final decision, but I've got a good feeling about this
00:49:14I don't see any reason why team Kate is not gonna take the win
00:49:21I
00:49:25Can't help it. I want to win this competition badly. I
00:49:31Already feel like a mother hen with all of my artists and I think I have several potential winners on my team
00:49:39I
00:49:50Really excited about
00:49:52She's incredibly impressive. I
00:49:55Think you could win this whole competition. I had goosebumps the whole time
00:50:00She's someone I can see go all the way in this competition. I
00:50:06I think they're all really special and I think some of them don't actually realize how special they are
00:50:17You know, I've got an ex-opera singer I've got a couple of music theater kids, you know, I've got some amazing pop belters
00:50:25I
00:50:35Got a really special place in my heart for TIA
00:50:39And I knew everyone wanted her but I think she's a true artist
00:50:44That's the reason why I wanted to do this competition. I need you on my team
00:50:49I mean, I don't want to have to start begging but I need you. I feel that we belong together
00:50:54There's an emotional connection
00:50:59I've got even a cheerleading scream. Oh, I am absolutely besotted by my
00:51:10When she launched into that
00:51:18I felt like I've been electrocuted
00:51:20I feel really really excited about working with you. You're a bolt of electricity
00:51:28I'm totally stoked. She's on my team
00:51:35They all bring something
00:51:38Really unique and now I'm looking for that superstar voice that I can take all the way
00:51:45I am really hungry to win. So I think the other coaches better watch out
00:51:52Oh
00:52:14That's our next person she's warm
00:52:23I'm engine there and I'm 16 years old. I
00:52:32Feel as though the coaches are definitely gonna be like, hold on you're 16
00:52:36Whoa, you know people mistake me for being much older because I'm well traveled compared to kids my age in Australia
00:52:44And I'm really grateful for it. I
00:52:46I
00:52:47Was born in Argentina, but when I was one years old, I moved to Dubai and I came here like four years ago
00:52:55I've been singing to my mom apparently since I was three
00:53:03I
00:53:04Love the singing. I just love being on stage
00:53:08My ultimate dream is to become a powerhouse singer just like Mariah Carey and Whitney Houston
00:53:16I have been told that I sound like Whitney and I've been like, whoa
00:53:20That's the nicest thing ever
00:53:29I'm singing a really emotional song by Mariah Carey
00:53:33The way she hits those high notes is the same way. I want to do it, but it's terrifying. It's terrifying
00:53:40Especially with so many people watching me. I'm scared. I might like not get up there
00:53:46one
00:53:48Well, I'm feeling like nervous like so nervous, but we're just gonna have to see how it goes
00:54:05Yeah rocket Angie, it's your day
00:54:16I
00:54:46I
00:55:16Oh
00:55:38Hello, hello, what's your name? I'm Angie and I'm 16 years old and I'm from Sydney
00:55:47Yeah, how hats off to you for coming up here and going for it that is not an easy song
00:55:55Yeah, I really
00:55:57Admire the way that you came out and you attacked that song was so wholeheartedly
00:56:03You know, there was there was nothing held back about it
00:56:07You know you were in you're a hundred percent in that high note
00:56:10I thought was amazing that whistle tone high note and I get it. I love singing high notes
00:56:16It's something that I do and it's it's physically pleasurable as well
00:56:21and family show I
00:56:25Mean if you think of a song as a cake and the basic melody and lyric to a song is
00:56:30The actual cake and all those bells and whistles on top of the icing
00:56:34I kind of feel like I've had a big spoonful of icing and I feel like I wanted the
00:56:39Simplicity and the grounded nurse the earthiness of the cake to really anchor us in that moment
00:56:46That's why I didn't turn around. You're only 16
00:56:49Let's just like get back to basics and start there and see where you can go because the sky's the limit
00:57:02Yeah, I totally agree you did an incredible job for walking out here and for like just putting it all in the line
00:57:08It takes some guts to do that. And I think we can tell you have a very very powerful voice
00:57:13I think there needs to be a little more control over that power
00:57:16I heard you run out of breath toward the end and to be able to hear you as a great vocalist
00:57:21You don't need to hit all the high notes. Like you don't need to be Mariah Carey. You need to be you singing that song
00:57:27How do you feel like that went for you?
00:57:29I feel like I could have done it better, but I'm kind of happy like proud of myself to be able to have done it
00:57:35Yeah
00:57:39You should be really really proud and and you've come at like such a difficult time, but you've got something really
00:57:48impressive and now it's about just
00:57:51Honing it back a little bit and finding you sweet spots
00:58:05She's 16. It'll come. Yeah, it'll come for her. Yeah. Yeah, it will such a baby. It's just raw. Yeah, it's so raw
00:58:15Come on it was such a good thing. I
00:58:18Got nervous. I feel like I could have done better
00:58:22I was really excited from the crowd and you know, they made me extra nervous
00:58:26But I'm happy with the feedback I got so, you know, I'm gonna take that away and like work on myself next year
00:58:36Little rocket next year home stretch, baby. Yes, Kate. What are you looking for? Oh, I don't know I feel
00:58:44Intuitively I want a girl or a woman. I just feel that in my bones
00:58:49I want someone who's genuinely connected to the music. I I want to be drawn in
00:58:55Yeah, I
00:58:59Think I've always loved singing but like I've always been way too nervous to sing in front of anyone
00:59:10Just kind of nerve-wracking to be honest I
00:59:15Work at a bar with my mom
00:59:17I'm always watching the guys getting the girls gig and I always wished that I was just singing up there and
00:59:24Then mom was just pushing me to get up on the mic and I
00:59:27Just didn't think I just did it and yeah, everyone just I don't know
00:59:32They just loved it and then I just get up like every shift. It's so good
00:59:36So you haven't studied music?
00:59:39No, no, so you're just completely self-taught
00:59:42Yeah, no, I love that though because you know how the coaches they obviously, you know all understand music
00:59:48Yeah, and you know, they talk about things like key changes and slides and riffs and I'm gonna have to learn a lot
00:59:55Maybe I should just bring like a note
01:00:03I'm feeling nervous now. Yeah, because I haven't had a singing lesson. I haven't been taught the
01:00:11Music language. I barely know anything. I'm kind of just winging it to be honest
01:00:16But I'm not gonna think about how scared I am. I'm not gonna think about how nervous I'm gonna be
01:00:20I'm just gonna do it because I want to make all my friends and family proud
01:00:25But I want to make my parents proud my mom and my dad
01:00:38Like God you guys all get to turn around that's really rubbing it in
01:00:46I
01:00:49Reset tell me
01:00:53Can't do it
01:00:55I'm used to singing at the bar. I'm used to singing at home in front of my family and
01:01:18friends. Definitely not used to singing on the biggest stage in Australia. Yeah, that
01:01:29freaks me out. It definitely does, but I just need to be myself. Hopefully I have what it
01:01:36takes.
01:01:37Ooh.
01:01:38Wow.
01:01:40Ooh.
01:01:41Wow.
01:01:43Ooh.
01:01:46Ooh.
01:02:05Wow.
01:02:12You did not break me
01:02:18Come on!
01:02:20I'm still fighting for peace
01:02:26Well, I've got thick skin
01:02:29And an elastic heart
01:02:32And if I beat you up
01:02:35I'm like a rubber band
01:02:37And then you pull too hard
01:02:40Yeah, I'm not stopping, I won't pause
01:02:43You won't see me fall apart
01:02:48Whoa
01:02:50Hey, I've got an elastic heart
01:02:58I've got an elastic heart
01:03:05Beautiful!
01:03:07Wow!
01:03:13Congratulations, I think you found what you were looking for
01:03:16I think so
01:03:18Come on!
01:03:19I'm shaking right now
01:03:21What's your name? Come forward, come forward
01:03:23I'm Jamie, I'm 19 and I'm from Sydney
01:03:30Oh wow, I'm still recovering from that
01:03:33I had full body goosebumps
01:03:35You're a true artist
01:03:36Thank you so much
01:03:56Wow
01:03:57Oh my goodness
01:03:58I don't know if you know this
01:04:00But all these other coaches, their teams are completely full
01:04:04I have one single spot left
01:04:06You know
01:04:07Had
01:04:08Had, yes
01:04:09Well, I had
01:04:10And my patience has paid off
01:04:13Yes, it has
01:04:14Oh my goodness
01:04:15Yes, it has
01:04:17That was just absolutely magnificent
01:04:20I can't believe you're only 19
01:04:21That was such a classy performance
01:04:23I've literally never done anything like this before
01:04:26Like, ever
01:04:27Really?
01:04:28I've only been singing for like this much time
01:04:31What?
01:04:32Literally
01:04:33That is crazy
01:04:34I've just been singing at my mum's bar
01:04:36That's it
01:04:37At the bar?
01:04:38Yeah
01:04:39I just work there and she's like, get up
01:04:41I'm like, okay
01:04:42Wow
01:04:43Well, that really, really moved me
01:04:46It was spectacular
01:04:47And I'm so glad that none of these guys have a spot left
01:04:51I was blown away
01:04:53Like, that was so unique
01:04:55And truly, truly special
01:04:57Thank you
01:05:00It was like you've done this for a really long time
01:05:02And you had very specific things that you were choosing
01:05:05And they were well done and well thought out
01:05:08But then not thought about at all
01:05:10Because you were just feeling it
01:05:12Like, that was just
01:05:13Very cool
01:05:14Good job
01:05:15Thank you
01:05:16Amazing
01:05:17Thank you so much
01:05:18Is it Jamie?
01:05:19Yeah, Jamie
01:05:20Or Jemay
01:05:21No, I'm kidding
01:05:22Jamie
01:05:23It's Jamie
01:05:24Jemay, who have we got over here?
01:05:26Is it your family?
01:05:27Mum, dad, boyfriend in the middle
01:05:33It's so sweet that your boyfriend is like bawling his eyes out
01:05:38Don't embarrass him
01:05:41And like literally can't stop
01:05:45Your voice, like when people say gifted, that's it
01:05:49Because you can't teach that
01:05:51That wouldn't have mattered if you've got lessons or whatever
01:05:54Because you've just got this instinct and this ability
01:05:57And if that's your starting point
01:05:59It's scary to think what your end point's going to be
01:06:05And you know, I don't make crazy outlandish statements
01:06:09But I'm going to make one here
01:06:11I've done this show for six seasons now
01:06:13Like hands down collectively
01:06:15This is by far I think the best talent we've ever seen on the show
01:06:20It's bananas
01:06:23And you have just finished a team so well
01:06:29Because Kate, I know, is going to go to sleep tonight
01:06:31And she's going to be like, thank God for Jamie
01:06:34Thank God for Jamie
01:06:38Jemay
01:06:40Jemay
01:06:41What have I started?
01:06:42I love how nonchalant and silly you are
01:06:44You're fun, you're super fun
01:06:46You know what was kind of wild about that too
01:06:48Is that there were little bits of sort of an homage to Sia
01:06:51But then it's like the minute you would sort of like
01:06:54Kind of borrow from her
01:06:55Then you would flip it and do your thing with it
01:06:57And I'm just like, what else can she do?
01:07:00Because that was wild
01:07:02I think it'll be my job not to screw with what you're already doing
01:07:06I think you're definitely at that point now
01:07:09Where you're ready and you have a lot to gain from this experience
01:07:13And yeah, this is your starting point
01:07:15So I can't wait to see where we go
01:07:17Hey
01:07:19Welcome to my team
01:07:22Thank you
01:07:25So exciting
01:07:27Me too, me too
01:07:28Bye
01:07:29Wow
01:07:33Oh my goodness
01:07:35She's like so unassuming
01:07:36She's just like, okay bye
01:07:38I just killed that
01:07:40Yeah, yeah, yeah
01:07:44This is Kate
01:07:45Hi
01:07:48Hello, hi
01:07:49Congratulations
01:07:51Oh my god
01:07:52I know, it's emotional isn't it?
01:07:54So you're the one with the bar?
01:07:56Yeah, well I
01:07:57She manages it
01:07:58Oh yeah
01:07:59Yeah, we just got her to get up and sing with the band
01:08:01And then I just kept on going, yeah get up
01:08:03That's like the best sort of musical education you can have actually
01:08:07So nerve-wracking knowing there's only one spot left
01:08:10I didn't imagine
01:08:13The last scrape of the whole blind
01:08:15So it's so exciting
01:08:16I can't wait to work with you
01:08:17I'm so excited
01:08:18Congratulations again
01:08:19You absolutely nailed that
01:08:21You made my day
01:08:22Brilliant
