00:00More than 100 truckloads of garbage are being collected by the MMDA since September 1
00:06because of the heavy rains in Enteng and Habagata.
00:09According to the MMDA Flood Control and Sewerage Management Office,
00:13aside from the truckloads of garbage, 45 cubic meters of garbage was also collected from Dolomite Beach.
00:19But the landslides in Metro Manila were not as severe as the one in Carina
00:25because of the 24x7 operations of the pumping stations.
00:28The regular maintenance of waterways like dredging, desalting, cleaning of waterways,
00:35and continuous monitoring of waterways are also being done.
00:38On the other hand, the MMDA also reminded that discipline in throwing garbage
00:45will greatly help to avoid heavy flooding during the rainy season.

00:53do not throw garbage in the waterways,
00:56and in segregating garbage to reduce the garbage that we will throw in the land.
