00:07the DA's target is to distribute the products made by farmers

00:11not only here in the country, but all over the world.

00:24These are just a few of the free foods distributed by the Department of Agriculture

00:29in celebration of World Food Day.

00:35There are different kinds of food, right?

00:37There are vegetables, like corn, peanuts.

00:40You can save your expenses today.

00:42The DA's target is to distribute the products made by cooperative farmers

00:46brought and distributed to the Central Office of the Agency.

00:51The DA's target is to distribute the local products to the public.

00:56Let's support our farmers and small businesses here

01:01who are striving to provide food to our Filipinos.

01:05Some are coming from Mindanao, and some coming from Visayas and Luzon.

01:09Many of the food coming from the production area

01:15And by Wednesday, all of the regional offices

01:19will also have an exhibit and display of the food.

01:22The price here is 20% cheaper.

01:25There are also other agricultural products

01:27like fresh vegetables and new fruits.

01:30500 cooperative stores were opened in different parts of the country.

01:35Of the 4 stores, 29 and 43 pesos of rice were sold.

01:41The DA's target is to increase the number of cooperative stores to 1,500

01:46so that more Filipinos can have access to cheaper products.

01:51We hope to top other agencies and offices of the government

01:57that are in the more population area.

02:02We would like to bring down the price of rice,

02:04particularly rice from all over the country

02:08because the price of rice is too high.

02:11We would like to bring it down to 42 or 40

02:17so that people can have affordability.

02:20Because in the market, it's still at 55.

02:23While the price of food is being lowered,

02:26the DA is also pushing to promote our local products

02:31outside of the country.

02:32The Philippines is already coordinating with New Zealand

02:36to sell durian.

02:37It is also possible to export mangoes from Zambales and Guimaras.

02:42What we really want is that our mangoes

02:44will be able to be exported to other countries

02:47because the quality is very good.

02:49It should be accepted in Australia, the US,

02:52and other countries where we need mangoes.

02:55It is also possible for the DA to help the World Trade Organization

02:59to implement their export requirements.
