00:00At the same time, the Civil Service Commission invited the agencies to hire young people to serve the country through a fund-run.
00:09Here is Isaiah Merafuentes in the details.
00:15Today in Bear Mounds, the Civil Service Commission invited the government agencies to fill the job vacancies.
00:23And one of their priorities is hiring young people.
00:28Of course, the call of the times now is technology.
00:32So, we should harness technology. We need to learn technology.
00:38We need to bring in the new blood who will bring in more innovation in civil service and inspiration too.
00:45And for continuity too.
00:48With the rapid pace of life, the youth's strength is being prioritized.
00:54This is our way of welcoming the youth, the new blood, the new recruits of the government.
01:01And the good news...
01:03In the Civil Service Exam, the number of slots increased.
01:07Before, it was less than 300,000 slots.
01:12But now, we have increased the number of slots to about 600,000 per year.
01:19As our national anthem says, youth is the hope of the people.
01:24But before we can meet the hope,
01:27we need to test and challenge our youth.
01:32It's a choice for the youth.
01:34Since for us to go from a third world to a developed country, we need to embrace the younger generation.
01:38Since they are more open-minded.
01:40For me, I will not serve here.
01:43I plan to go abroad.
01:45Since there, the opportunity is bigger.
01:48The Civil Service Month has already started.
01:50Their first activity is the nationwide fan run at the Kirino Grandstand in Luneta.
01:55More than 20,000 government employees came here,
02:00like a policeman named Sir Nomer.
02:03For him, there is a huge benefit in the co-operation of government agencies.
02:09This is also a way to strengthen and strengthen
02:14the love for our service to every Filipino worker.
02:19This is my first time participating in an event like this.
02:23So, I'm happy.
02:25And it's good because there are a lot of employees who are still pursuing their jobs.
02:31Not only jobs, but also happiness.
02:35The fans ran for 5 kilometers
02:38from Kirino Grandstand to President Kirino Avenue.
02:42There is also an activity to raise additional funds
02:45for the Permanent Service of the City or PLB of CSC.
02:49The PLB is a program that will provide one-time financial assistance
02:54for the families of public servants who gave their lives to serve the city.
03:00And there is also a scholarship for their fellow students.
03:05Did you enjoy?
03:07Did you get help?
03:09Even though we are seniors,
03:11we can do this if we fight just for fun.
03:16I really enjoyed it. There were a lot of participants.
03:19It's rare to see all government agencies together.
03:24The whole month of September is also counted as Civil Service Month.
03:28And this month is full of activities.
03:30Aside from the fan run, there are other activities like job fair,
03:35bloodletting activity, tree planting, and many more.
03:39I'm Sayang Mira Fuentes for Pambansang TV in Bagong, Philippines.
