00:00The local government was advised to take advantage of the time to carry out a pre-emptive evacuation
00:07before the typhoon Pipito hits.
00:09According to the Office of Civil Defense,
00:11it should be carried out from tomorrow until Saturday
00:14before it reaches the country.
00:16According to the initial forecast,
00:19the center of the typhoon could reach Samar, Bicol Region, and Metro Manila,
00:23but the nearby areas could also be affected.
00:27According to the DSWD,
00:2918 million individuals could be affected by the typhoon Pipito.
00:341 million family food packs are ready,
00:36and 20,000 were delivered to Bicol Region first.
00:43While the national government is on top of the situation,
00:47we are emphasizing as well that LGU preparation is key
00:52to ensuring public safety against the threat of national hazards.
00:57As of now, there are no problems in delivering our food and non-food items.
