00:00More than 100 trucks of garbage are being collected by the MMDA since September 1,

00:05along with the load of stormwater and seawater.

00:09According to the MMDA Flood Control and Sewerage Management Office,

00:13aside from the truck-truck of garbage,

00:15they also collected 45 cubic meters of garbage from Dolomite Beach,

00:20which is still being monitored by the MMDA.

00:23Because of the garbage that is still being collected by the seawater,

00:27in addition to the MMDA,

00:29the roads in Metro Manila are not as flooded as the one in Baguio, Carina,

00:35because of the 24x7 operations of their pumping stations.

00:39They also regularly maintain the waterways,

00:42such as dredging, desilting, cleaning the waterways,

00:47and continuous monitoring of the waterways.

00:50Despite this, the agency still reminds us that

00:53the public's discipline in disposing of garbage will help to mitigate

00:59the severe flooding during the rainy season.

01:03Discipline in disposing of garbage,

01:06not to throw garbage in the waterways,

01:09and in segregating garbage

01:15to reduce the garbage that we will throw in the land.
