00:00Good evening. Welcome to Washington. I'm Brett bear as students attending colleges across the northeast return to classes anti-israel
00:06Protesters are also making their presence known
00:09We'll take you there a former top aide to New York governor
00:12Kathy Hochul is accused of spying on behalf of the Chinese government will explain and after the Labor Day holiday
00:19We are now in the final sprint to election day 63 days until election day 2024 the countdown is on
00:26but first
00:31Breaking tonight Middle East policy is the focus of domestic politics tonight after the deaths of six hostages
00:37Including a young American at the hands of Hamas
00:40President Joe Biden says Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is not doing enough to secure a hostage deal with Hamas as
00:47Critics say the Biden Harris administration is not doing enough to hold Hamas accountable
00:52Biden officials insist a deal is still possible
00:55But the president himself has avoided questions on Israel since calling on the country to do more to release more than 100 hostages
01:03Still held by Hamas Vice President Kamala Harris and her VP nominee Governor Tim Walz have also avoided questions on this topic as well
01:11Senior White House correspondent Peter Doocy is live on the North Lawn of the White House with the administration's Israel
01:16Strategy and the fallout from it. Good evening, Peter. Good evening, Brett
01:20The Justice Department is announcing tonight
01:22They are charging the Hamas leader Yaya Sinwar and other senior Hamas militants with
01:27For their roles in financing planning and carrying out the October 7th terrorist attacks
01:33All of the defendants are charged with offenses that carry penalties that range from life in prison to the death penalty
01:41The charges unsealed today are just one part of our effort to target every aspect of Hamas's operations
01:49These actions will not be our last
01:52The Justice Department has a long memory
01:55the chances of moving forward to a trial anytime soon appear to be limited because
02:01None of these defendants are in US custody
02:04At least not that we know of it is also not clear how today's announcement of these charges
02:09Impacts the possibility of a ceasefire and hostage release deal
02:13I'm not gonna be in the White House much longer
02:16Before he leaves President Biden wants a ceasefire and hostage release deal in Gaza and is pointing a finger at one side for delays
02:32Israeli officials say the holdup is with Hamas the blame is on Hamas period you cannot blame Netanyahu or the Israelis
02:40Hamas always say no former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo writes after Hamas savagely murdered hostages
02:46Including an American Biden and Harris are demanding Israel cave to Hamas's demands
02:50This is a dangerous reward for terrorism and what a message to our enemies the United States under President Biden's
02:57Has virtually no leverage on the Israelis right now
03:00He's a lame-duck president
03:02There are also cracks in President Biden's years-long effort to make Vladimir Putin an international pariah
03:07The Russian leader was just feted with a red carpet welcome ceremony in Mongolia
03:11Despite an international criminal court warrant for his arrest. The country is party to the ICC
03:17We look to continue to support Mongolia
03:20But we do think it's important that they uphold their international obligation President Biden ignored questions today
03:26Officials insist he isn't trying to have it both ways
03:29Why is he harder on Benjamin Netanyahu than he is on the terrorist leader of Hamas?
03:35The president has been very very clear about Hamas leaders and what they have done Hamas is responsible
03:41They have more American blood on their hands. The president was clear about that in his statement
03:47At this afternoon's briefing, the president said he's not going to let Hamas take over the country
03:53At this afternoon's briefing the press secretary also said she could not give a yes-or-no answer when asked simply if President Biden believes that Benjamin Netanyahu is a good-faith actor in these negotiations
04:05Both she and John Kirby in the telephone briefing today said they do not want to negotiate in public
04:11Brett. Peter Ducey live in the North Lawn. Peter, thanks
04:23Mourners in Israel paying tribute to the six dead hostages whose bodies were recovered over the weekend
04:29The deaths are also sparking protests in Tel Aviv
04:32Calling for the Israeli government to strike a deal in hopes of releasing the remaining hostages
04:37National correspondent Jeff Paul reports from Tel Aviv
04:42They stand together shoulder-to-shoulder carrying flags and signs young and old united under a single cause to bring them home
04:52In the wake of the killing of six hostages in Gaza, tens of thousands of Israelis have been filling the streets of cities like Tel Aviv, pushing their government to sign off on a hostage release deal
05:03Many blame Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu
05:06If somebody needs to do it, it's us, the people. We don't have any choice. We have to do what the government is not able to do
05:14They feel had he done more, the six hostages, including American-Israeli Hersh Goldberg-Poland, would still be alive
05:21Families of hostages who are still being held worry they're running out of time
05:26We were crying the whole morning because it was like, it's so frightening, the feeling that in one minute things can change and people can die
05:34While Netanyahu apologized to the families of the six hostages, he remained defiant, appearing to reject President Biden's claims that he's not doing enough to reach a deal
05:43He also criticized what he called a shameful decision by Britain to suspend some arms sales to Israel
05:49The pressure internationally must be directed at these killers, at Hamas, not at Israel
05:55Hamas blames Netanyahu for the deaths, saying its fighters have no instructions about what to do if Israeli forces try to rescue hostages, seeming to suggest captives would be killed
06:06Israeli strikes in Gaza show no signs of stopping, as the U.S. admits an agreement between the two sides remains elusive
06:14It is time to finalize that deal. The people of Israel cannot afford to wait any longer
06:19The Palestinian people, who are also suffering the terrible effects of this war, cannot afford to wait any longer
06:28Now, temporary localized pauses in the fighting in Gaza appear to be holding in this agreement on day three between Israel and Hamas
06:36allowing doctors to get into the territory and begin the vaccination process of more than half a million kids for polio
06:44Brett
06:45Jeff Paul in Tel Aviv. Jeff, thanks
06:47Two Marines assigned to the USS Wasp were safely back aboard the warship after being assaulted by a group of young Turkish nationalists
06:56That attack happened during a port visit off the Aegean coast of Turkey
07:00Footage shows the Marines yelling for help as they were restrained by the attackers
07:04Additional service members intervened and helped transport the two victims to a hospital as a precaution
07:11All 15 attackers were arrested
07:14Back here in the U.S., students attending colleges across the Northeast returned to class today, and so did anti-Israel protesters
07:22Arrests were made at Columbia University
07:24Correspondent Alexis McAdams is on campus tonight with the latest. Good evening, Alexis
07:29Brett, good evening. Well, it's a brand new school year here at the Ivy League School at Columbia University on the city's Upper West Side
07:35But pretty much the same situation we saw a few months ago when commencement was canceled and there were tents all over that campus
07:42The school says they're doing everything they can to try and make Jewish students feel safe
07:45They've even added some checkpoints, as you can see behind me, where they're making sure every student has an ID before they let them on campus
07:51But pro-Palestinian demonstrators tell me, Brett, this is not going to stop anytime soon
07:56We have been very clear that this will not stop until Columbia has divested from its complicity in Israel's genocide of the Palestinian people
08:05This afternoon, at least two protesters were arrested outside of Columbia's campus
08:09And more vandalism also happened at Columbia
08:13This time, someone threw red paint all over a statue here at the school, symbolizing blood, as the protesters blamed the school for supporting a genocide
08:23How do you think Columbia has handled those protests? The university president's gone, a few deans are gone, was that enough?
08:29Um, terribly, that would be an understatement
08:31Anti-Semitism is a scourge that has not been eradicated from this university and that the administration has turned a blind eye to it
08:37I'm actually just appalled
08:40It's not just demonstrations on campus, but across the Big Apple
08:43Yesterday, we walked for like seven miles, Brett, with these protesters
08:47One person carrying a Hamas flag and even throwing smoke bombs
08:53Woo!
08:57At least 5,000 people walked the streets on Monday
09:00Saying both President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris have blood on their hands
09:05Back out here live
09:06These protests today on the first day, Brett, come just days after a damning report came from the school's anti-Semitism task force here at Columbia
09:12Finding that last semester, Jewish students were spat on
09:16They were pushed up against walls and even had to move out of their dorm rooms because they kept being harassed
09:20Will this year be any better? We'll have to wait and see, Brett
09:24Okay, day one, Alexis, thanks
09:26The FBI has arrested New York Governor Kathy Hochul's former deputy chief of staff
09:31Linda Soon and her husband are accused of acting as foreign agents for China
09:36In exchange for financial benefits worth millions of dollars
09:40Correspondent Nate Foy is following this story from New York
09:43Good evening, Nate
09:45Good evening, Brett
09:46New York Governor Kathy Hochul tonight says she is shocked and outraged after her former aide,
09:52Linda Soon, pleaded not guilty to acting as a foreign agent for the Chinese Communist Party
09:58Soon and her husband are accused of accepting and laundering millions of dollars in paybacks
10:04from Chinese government officials
10:05Take a look at this new video of them leaving court tonight
10:09Soon is charged with violating the Foreign Agents Registration Act
10:13She's also charged with visa fraud and alien smuggling
10:16Prosecutors say she provided unauthorized and fraudulent
10:20invitation letters to Chinese officials so they could visit the United States
10:25It is obviously very disturbing that this person was in the top administration
10:31Not just the governor's office but serving in the role of deputy chief of staff
10:35A position where she had a tremendous amount of influence
10:40and probably advised the governor in many different ways
10:44And clearly it was to the benefit of the CCP
10:48Brett Soon held several high-level positions in state government starting in 2012
10:53under then-governor Andrew Cuomo
10:55Prosecutors say in 2019 she canceled a possible meeting between the Taiwanese
10:59president and New York officials texting a Chinese representative
11:03Quote, I sent you an email just an FYI, I already blocked it
11:08Prosecutors say Soon attempted to conceal her actions on behalf of the CCP
11:14New York Congresswoman Elise Stefanik is now calling for an investigation
11:18into Governor Hochul's administration
11:20But a Hochul spokesperson tells Fox News, quote
11:23This individual was hired by the executive chamber more than a decade ago
11:27We terminated her employment in March 2023 after discovering evidence of misconduct
11:32Immediately reported her actions to law enforcement
11:35and have assisted law enforcement throughout the process
11:38Now tonight, Soon was released on a $1.5 million conditional bail
11:43She has limited travel rights and she is not to have any contact with Chinese officials
11:49She'll appear in court next on September 25th
11:52Brett
11:53Nate Ford in New York
11:54Nate, thanks
11:55Up next, we go to the touchscreen to look at where the Harris and Trump campaigns
11:58plan to dedicate their time as we begin that final stretch to election day
12:03First, beyond our borders tonight, dozens of people are dead
12:06Hundreds more injured after Russian missiles strike a military training facility
12:11a nearby hospital in eastern Ukraine
12:13The missiles hit shortly after an air raid alert sounded
12:16as many people were making their way to bomb shelters
12:19Ukrainian officials say it is one of the deadliest Russian strikes since the war began
12:25Parts of India are experiencing some of the worst flooding in two decades
12:29Heavy monsoon rains have killed dozens over the past two days
12:32and forced thousands to relocate to government-run relief camps
12:36India's weather service predicts more rain is expected in that region
12:41And this is a live look at Bali, courtesy of EarthCam
12:45One of the big stories there tonight
12:47Pope Francis kicks off the longest trip of his papacy in Indonesia
12:51He hopes to encourage and celebrate the country's interfaith harmony
12:54with both Catholics and the world's largest Muslim population
12:58The 11-day trip will also include stops in Papua New Guinea, East Timor, and Singapore
13:04Just some of the other stories beyond our borders tonight
13:07Welcome back to Special Report
13:08With Labor Day and the unofficial end of summer behind us
13:12we're now in the final sprint to election day
13:1463 days to go
13:16This is our electoral college map
13:18270 is the magic number
13:20You can see these gray states
13:21These are the toss-up states
13:22We have undecided here on our what-if scenario
13:25The red and the blue decided based on the polls
13:28And here's how it stands
13:29226 to 219 electoral votes
13:32in the what-if scenario
13:34Now, the Harris-Walz campaign just wrapped up its bus tour in Georgia
13:38Recent polling there has the former president ahead in the states
13:41Close, but he's ahead
13:43In our what-if scenario, if the election were held today
13:45the former president would likely win Georgia
13:48He's also ahead in Arizona polling
13:51We could say, just for the sake of argument,
13:53in this what-if scenario, he gets both of these sunbelt states
13:57Now, it's a close race in Nevada, out west
14:00Union workers may put the vice president over the top there
14:04We'll say, for the sake of argument, here, we'll give her Nevada
14:07Heading back up to the north and up into the Midwest here
14:11let's look at some of the historical trends in swing states
14:14In 2016, former president Trump pulled off a surprise victory in Michigan
14:18Since then, Michigan has been big blue
14:21Biden won the state in three points in 2020
14:25Two years later, Democrats took full control of the state government
14:28for the first time in nearly 40 years
14:30But Michigan does have a large Arab American population
14:34This election with the Israel-Hamas war, that could change things
14:37The issue could drive undecided voters to either back a different candidate
14:41or not vote at all
14:42Neighboring Wisconsin, roughly evenly divided by Democrats
14:46who reside in the big cities like Milwaukee and Madison
14:49and Republicans who are in the more rural areas
14:51But the increasing margins there have changed the dynamic
14:54White non-college voters swept Trump to victory there in 2016
14:59But Joe Biden reclaimed the state in 2020
15:01Now, if the vice president does well in Michigan and Wisconsin
15:07We'll go back to the electoral college map here
15:09and we give her both of these states
15:13She would just need 13 electoral votes to win the presidency
15:17So then you go on to Pennsylvania
15:19Both candidates will be there this week
15:20Former president Trump won the state back in 2016
15:24but managed, but president Biden managed to flip it in 2020
15:28Let's assume, again for the sake of argument
15:31that the former president wins Pennsylvania in this situation
15:35And there you have it
15:36It all comes down in this what-if scenario to North Carolina
15:40If former president Trump manages to win the state for the third time
15:44it would put him back in the White House
15:47281 to 257
15:49Again, 270 needed to win
15:51If you now take a look at our election calendar
15:53absentee ballots go out in North Carolina this Friday
15:57just days before former president Trump and vice president Harris
16:00had that presidential debate
16:02So far, the only scheduled debate
16:04We hope there's going to be another one
16:05Senior national correspondent Rich Edson has a preview of that matchup
16:09as the candidates campaign across the swing states
16:13Tomorrow, former president Trump will participate
16:15in a Fox News town hall in Pennsylvania
16:18The first of several swing state appearances
16:20which also include stops in North Carolina and Wisconsin
16:23In one week, Trump will debate his second Democratic candidate this campaign
16:27He says he was surprised Democrats wanted to debate him
16:30I thought they were going to say, you know, he wouldn't take it
16:32and therefore Biden doesn't have to debate
16:35But I agreed to all these things that I normally wouldn't agree to
16:38And now they have Kamala who they say has many deficiencies
16:45But she's a nasty person
16:46Harris has a rally scheduled tomorrow in New Hampshire
16:49Her campaign says it's transferring $25 million
16:52to Democrats running for the House, Senate, and in state-level races
16:55After spending Labor Day campaigning in swing states,
16:58Democrats are criticizing Trump
17:00It's Labor Day. How is he not on the campaign trail?
17:03I don't think I've ever seen that in my lifetime
17:06from a presidential nominee of either party
17:08The Trump campaign responded, quote,
17:10This Labor Day, the American people are working harder than ever
17:13to afford gas, groceries, and rent
17:15because Kamala Harris broke our economy and is proud of it
17:19A new ABC poll shows Harris received no convention bouts
17:23just as it said Trump got no boost after the RNC
17:26In it, Harris has a four-point advantage among registered voters
17:29Trump leads on the economy and border
17:31Harris has the advantage in health care and abortion
17:34As her campaign accuses Trump and his running mate, Senator J.D. Vance,
17:38of undermining abortion access and in vitro fertilization treatments
17:42Trump, however, has said he would protect access to IVF
17:45and has suggested making the government or insurance companies pay for it
17:49Some congressional Republicans have said they would need to see cost estimates
17:52Others say they prefer a child tax credit
17:55Brett?
17:56All right, Rich, thank you
17:57More on this with the panel
17:58A federal judge is redirecting, or rather rejecting,
18:03former President Trump's request to intervene in his New York criminal case
18:07Again, this is a federal judge thwarting the former president's latest bid
18:10to overturn his felony conviction and delay his sentencing
18:15in the Manhattan courtroom
18:16The judge denied Trump's lawyer's permission to file paperwork
18:20asking the U.S. District Court in Manhattan to take control of that case
18:23The ruling leaves Trump's case in state court,
18:26where he is scheduled to be sentenced September 18th, as of now
18:30Up next, lawyers on Capitol Hill criticize the Biden-Harris strategy
18:35for the Middle East
18:36Lawmakers weigh in
18:37And then a look at an effort that uses artificial intelligence
18:41to catch aggressive drivers in the attic
18:44The Justice Department is deepening its investigation
18:46into artificial intelligence company NVIDIA
18:49Bloomberg News first reported, and Fox News can now confirm,
18:52the antitrust watchdog of the DOJ sent a subpoena to the company and others
18:57Officials are concerned the chipmaker is complicating efforts for other suppliers
19:01and penalizing buyers that do not exclusively use its artificial intelligence chips
19:08Stocks hit a major speed bump today
19:10The slump led by declines in technology, energy, and communication services
19:14The drop also comes ahead of data that could likely influence
19:17how much the Federal Reserve will lower interest rates
19:20The Dow fell 626 today
19:24The S&P 500 lost 119
19:26The Nasdaq was down 577
19:30Congressional Republicans hope to convert some of the biggest foreign policy events
19:35that have unfolded during the Biden administration into a campaign issue
19:39Senior congressional correspondent Chad Pergram has details tonight from Capitol Hill
19:43Republicans hope pictures tell the story of Vice President Harris and foreign policy
19:51War in the Middle East
19:54Executions of Israeli hostages
19:56And the dust-up involving former President Trump over honoring American service members
20:01buried at Arlington National Cemetery
20:03actually returned the botched Biden-Harris withdrawal from Afghanistan to the public eye
20:09A mother of one of the 13 U.S. service members killed in the Abigaid attack
20:13criticizing the administration
20:15We've been disrespected so much in the last three years
20:17It's been three years
20:19No response from them
20:21No, I'm sorry
20:22GOP lawmakers aim to link Harris to foreign policy fiascos
20:26The vice president was intimately involved in that discussion
20:29Harris even said as much
20:31He just made a really big decision
20:33Afghanistan
20:34Yes
20:35Were you the last person in the room?
20:36Yes
20:37And you feel comfortable?
20:39I do
20:40In addition, some Republicans point to the Israel-Hamas war
20:44Joe Biden and Kamala Harris have tried to hamstring Israel every step of the way here
20:50But Kamala Harris and Walt, they won't answer questions and they're trying to thread needles
20:56because their two-state solution, Brian, is to win Pennsylvania and Michigan
21:00But the administration contends blame is clear
21:03Despite the Mideast hostage crisis unfolding on their watch
21:07Hamas is responsible for their deaths
21:10And as the president said, Hamas leaders will pay for their crimes
21:15House Speaker Mike Johnson presents the Congressional Gold Medal
21:19to the service members killed in Afghanistan next week
21:22The House Foreign Affairs Committee is also prepping a report on the bungled withdrawal
21:27Brett
21:27Chad Pergram, live on the Hill
21:29Chad, thanks
21:30U.S. Customs and Border Protection officials say they have recorded more apprehensions
21:34in the last fiscal year at a sector on the northern border with Canada
21:38than in the 13 previous years combined
21:41Again, the northern border
21:42Agents have recovered and recorded more than 15,000 apprehensions at the Swanton border sector
21:49That area spans nearly 300 miles from Vermont to parts of upstate New York and New Hampshire
21:54Migrants from 85 different countries have tried to cross illegally into the U.S. in that region
22:01Dramatic video captured in recent weeks shows
22:04close calls between Florida drivers and students on their way to school
22:08Correspondent Dana Marie McNichol looks at a new program
22:10that could help catch aggressive drivers in the act
22:16New video from Miami-Dade police shows cars coming inches from children
22:20as they go on and off the school bus
22:23Now, officials are turning to AI to help deter such drivers
22:27mounting cameras on all 1,000 Miami-Dade school buses
22:32If it hits you in the wallet, you'll think twice before endangering a child's life
22:37In the first two weeks of school, over 11,000 drivers got tickets
22:41That's an average of 1,600 violations per school day at $225 each,
22:48totaling about $2.5 million in fines
22:52Revenue goes to the school district to fund the program
22:55and towards recruitment stipends to combat the school bus driver shortage
23:00The technology company Bus Patrol partners with law enforcement
23:04You're caught on camera and then that video evidence package gets transmitted
23:08to the Miami-Dade County Police Department where they review the footage
23:12and they make a final determination about whether to issue someone a violation or not
23:17Officials say this is a public safety crisis
23:20Parents on social media captured officers swarming a car
23:24after it passed a school bus on a busy highway
23:2727 states recently passed bus camera laws to help police
23:31A study found that an estimated 43.5 million cars illegally pass school buses each year
23:38We do typically see a spike in violations in the beginning
23:42and then we've seen in some of our most mature programs,
23:45places in Maryland, out on Long Island, drops in violations between 20% to 40% year over year
23:52Bus Patrol says that 90% of people who do get a ticket in the mail
23:56are never caught breaking the law again
23:59Brett?
23:59Dan and Maria, thank you
24:05Breaking tonight, just a few minutes ago, a suspect thought that authorities say
24:09killed a Harris County constable is now in police custody
24:12As you look at this video, officials say the suspect crashed into water near Old Causeway in Galveston
24:19The deputy was murdered on his way to work earlier today
24:22But again, that suspect in custody, just getting that video in right now
24:27Up next, the panel on the latest from the campaign trail
24:30as both candidates focus on Pennsylvania
24:33First, here's what some of our Fox affiliates around the country are covering tonight
24:36Fox 61 in Hartford, Connecticut is searching recovery
24:42She has the moral compass of a saint, this woman knows what she's doing
24:47As we fight to move forward, Donald Trump is trying to pull us backward
24:53Including back to a time before workers had the freedom to organize
25:00Well, the courts will handle that and we will handle November, how about that?
25:06Vice President Harris campaigning alongside President Biden
25:09And there is a focus on Pennsylvania, a significant focus
25:13We just showed you earlier how big a swing state it is
25:16Some of the headlines, Harris puts her Biden balancing act on display in Pennsylvania
25:21Best decision I made, Biden boasts Harris, boosts Harris to unions, steel workers on Labor Day
25:27Kamala Harris to return to Pittsburgh in second trip this week
25:31You can see how crucial that is
25:34Right now, the former president in most polls has a slight lead, but it's within the margin of error
25:39Let's bring in our panel, Fox News senior political analyst Juan Williams
25:42Guy Benson, political editor at townhall.com, host of the Guy Benson Show on Fox News Radio
25:47And Kimberly Strassel, member of the editorial board at the Wall Street Journal
25:50How much do you think President Biden campaigning, even on the sweet spot of unions, helps her, Kimberly?
25:57How much do you think the Harris campaign is saying, okay, that's good, we're good, we're done?
26:03They have to roll him out, he wants to take part
26:06If you looked at that speech, it was remarkable
26:08He spoke significantly longer than she did, and probably a lot longer than the Kamala Harris
26:13campaign would want him to speak
26:15But they're walking that fine line right now
26:17A lot of people still accusing them of throwing him under the bus
26:21He's not necessarily helping her campaign message
26:23He's a reminder of the things that people don't like about this economy at the moment
26:29But again, I'm not sure they can get away with simply excising him from the campaign trail
26:34Um, there are some good signs
26:37Enthusiasm on the Democratic side is way up
26:39It's a lot different
26:40She has closed the gap from where President Biden was in the polls before the June 27th debate
26:45However, she's campaigning in New Hampshire tomorrow
26:49That was a place that Democrats originally weren't going to be campaigning a lot
26:53The Trump campaign putting out
26:56No amount of campaigning in New Hampshire will make up for the fact that Joe Biden and Kamala
26:59Harris screwed over our state by abandoning our beloved first-in-the-nation primary tradition
27:03Granted staters will not vote for dangerously liberal Kamala Harris
27:07Whose policies as vice president have increased our energy bills
27:10Created the most unaffordable housing market in New Hampshire's history
27:13That's Caroline Leavitt who's from New Hampshire
27:16But point being is the Trump campaign feels more confident in New Hampshire
27:21And the map is changing really day to day
27:24I would agree with you
27:25And that's why I think you know this we're in a new phase of the campaign
27:29We've had the conventions
27:31Now we're in the phase where I think you mix it up
27:33And obviously we're headed towards as you showed earlier in the show the debate next week
27:38So they're going to mix it up
27:39And it's also a time when you have the candidates
27:42Really targeting blocks of voter and key states
27:46Now New Hampshire is not a key state
27:49I think most people think it's probably going to lean toward the Democrats
27:52But we don't know
27:53But why is she campaigning?
27:54The reason is that there are a lot of Nikki Haley voters in New Hampshire
27:58If you think back to the GOP primary
28:00And the Democrats would love to get those Nikki Haley voters
28:05You know who are kind of like still up in the air about voting for Trump
28:08To clearly go to them
28:10I mean the problem you know for a lot of the Trump stuff
28:14Is the Trump ceiling remains where it is
28:16He hasn't moved
28:17Even as you see Haley gain
28:19It's not taking away from Trump
28:21It's the undecided
28:22I'm sorry yeah
28:23It's the undecideds making a decision
28:26And on Biden
28:27Today there was a Suffolk poll that showed his approval rating skyrocketed
28:31He's now about 48 percent
28:3249 disapproved
28:3348 approved
28:34But what it means is that
28:36She can now run as heir to Biden
28:38She doesn't have to hide Biden
28:40She can say you know
28:41Remember George H.W. Bush
28:43He didn't have to hide Ronald Reagan
28:46He said I'm running as the heir to Reagan
28:48But they didn't have a lot of the vulnerabilities
28:50When it comes to inflation
28:51When it comes to the cost of living
28:52When it comes to Guy
28:54You know how people feel about the economy
28:56I think the Trump campaign would be absolutely delighted
28:58If the Harris campaign took that advice
29:01And tethered themselves entirely to Joe Biden
29:04Of course he is the leader of the Biden-Harris administration
29:07Of which Harris is Kamala Harris
29:09So this dance they've been trying to do
29:12To separate her in some ways
29:13And talk about turning the page to the future
29:16Without thinking too hard about the current
29:17Which is their existing ongoing administration
29:21It's awkward to begin with
29:22If they decide that maybe Biden
29:24Isn't the liability that he is
29:26But he is
29:26He's down 20 points on economic approval
29:29Then they have to continue doing this
29:30Stiff arm some places
29:32Hug him a few other places
29:34I just don't know if that really works
29:36Because their joint economic policy
29:39Has been a failure
29:40And I think the Trump campaign would love
29:42To have this election be about that question
29:45All right here is the former president
29:47With Mark Levin on Sunday
29:50What I'd do is tax the hell out of them
29:52If they want to send cars in
29:53Because if they allow those cars to pour in here
29:56With no tax with no anything
29:59You are not going to have any jobs in Detroit
30:01Anywhere in Michigan
30:02You're not going to have any jobs
30:03Anywhere in South Carolina
30:04And all the other places that we build cars
30:07Over the last 30 years
30:08We've lost 57% of our car manufacturing business
30:12I'll bring every one of those jobs back
30:16Now
