00:00Businessman Yusuf Tayob is upset over a series of delays affecting his Firefly flights from
00:09Subang's Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport to Penang yesterday.
00:13Yusuf, the managing director of one of the country's largest state importers, said his
00:18flight was supposed to depart at 5pm but was delayed at least four times and only took
00:24off at 9pm.
00:26Yusuf said Firefly's so-called re-timing of flights had been recurring often lately, adding
00:32that no one from the airline could provide an explanation for the delays.
00:37He called these delays unacceptable, arguing that they show a lack of respect for passengers'
00:42time.
00:43Checks on social media showed that rescheduled Firefly flights were not limited to the Subang-Penang
00:49route and have affected many other travellers as well.
00:53Yusuf urged the Transport Ministry to investigate all domestic flight schedules and enforce
00:58stricter oversight to ensure airlines adhere to their timetables.
