00:00Gabugan Party's Sarawak lawmakers have rallied behind Premier Abang Johari Openg after he
00:08was criticised by a state Pakatan Harapan representative.
00:11The criticism was over a light-hearted comment Abang Johari made on Kairi Jamadudin's Keluar
00:16Sekejap podcast recently.
00:19Tupong Assemblyman Fazruddin Abdul Rahman said Violet Yong should have paid more attention
00:23to the programme and even called her out as being arrogant for disregarding Abang Johari's
00:28impact on ordinary Sarawakians.
00:30He said that while it might be difficult for Sarawak PH leaders to hear about the state
00:34government's achievements, they should listen to the entire podcast instead of taking soundbites
00:39out of context to twist the facts.
00:41Yong, the Sarawak DAP Organising Secretary, had slammed Abang Johari for saying that the
00:46party and PKR do not exist in the state due to GPS's dominance.
00:51According to Fazruddin, Abang Johari meant collaboration between GPS and other federal
00:56government parties, including PH, does not exist in Sarawak.
00:59Meanwhile, Party Pasakabuiputrabursatu Youth Wing Pemuda said Abang Johari's comments were
01:05twisted by irresponsible parties with vested interests.
01:09The discussion at that time was about the relationship between parties in the federal
01:12government and the Sarawak government, he said.
