00:00Welcome back everyone.
00:07It is Amelia.
00:08I hope you are fine.
00:10The Acolyte Episode 6 features a seemingly new yet very familiar planet to one featured
00:15in the last JD.
00:16Due to some key teases within the episode on this mysterious world, the Acolyte may
00:21be pointing to the origins of the Sith themselves.
00:24Even if Kimir, Manny Jacinto, is eventually revealed to be something other than the true
00:29Dark Lodes, it's certainly possible that this new Star Wars show is still offering
00:33new insights into the early Sith.
00:36As seen in the Acolyte Episode 6, May, Amandla Stenberg leaves the planet Khofar with Master
00:42Saul Lee Jung Jai, having disguised herself as her twin sister Osha.
00:46Meanwhile, Osha has been taken to an unknown planet by Kimir who seemingly wants to make
00:51her his new Acolyte.
00:53However, this new world in particular very much resembles the last JD's Ahashtu, the
00:58site of the first JD temple and eventual home to an exiled Luke Skywalker.
01:03However, it could also be connected to a key world from Legends at the same time.
01:07Waking up on a world identified only as Unknown Planet, Osha finds herself on an ocean world
01:13covered in islands with rocky beaches, appearing to be the home of Kimir as his primary base
01:19of operations hidden away from the rest of the galaxy.
01:22It's not hard to see the resemblances to Ahashtu, the planet where Luke went into exile after
01:27Ben Sono fell to the dark side where he briefly trained Rey and where he died giving his life
01:33to save the remaining members of the resistance as seen in the last JD.
01:37While the parallels to the last JD in the Acolyte Episode 6 are numerous, this world
01:42may also be a key planet from Legends at the same time.
01:45After all, this Unknown Planet also carries similarities to the world of Baldemnic described
01:51as an ocean planet with rocky islands located in the Outer Rim.
01:55In the former Legends timeline pre-Disney canon, Baldemnic was also the site where Darth
02:00Plagueis killed his master Darth Tenebraus.
02:03Likewise, they were on the world in search of rare cortoses or the same metal used to
02:07forge Kimir's helmet.
02:09While the connections to both the last JD and possibly Legends with Darth Plagueis are
02:14exciting, it's also fascinating to learn that Kimir was once a member of the JD Order before
02:19embracing the dark side.
02:21As such, this mirrors the origins of the Sith themselves having splintered off from the
02:25early JD Order in search of new paths to wield the force.
02:29As such, it would be rather poetic if this world where Kimir is based was connected to
02:34the early Sith just as the planet it's clearly modeled after is connected to the first JD.
02:39Furthermore, the potential connections this world might also have to Darth Plagueis are
02:44just as intriguing and exciting as well.
