00:00Welcome back everyone.
00:07It is Amelia.
00:08I hope you are fine.
00:09The Acolyte Episode 7's ending provides answers about Brendoke, revealing the tragic
00:14events that would turn JD into liars.
00:17After the many unanswered questions of The Acolyte Episode 3, Episode 7 was a highly
00:22anticipated installment of the show.
00:24Mae and Osha's childhood was filled with lingering mysteries, with the show teasing
00:28for four episodes that answers about the fateful night on the planet of Brendoke will
00:33be delivered.
00:34The Acolyte Episode 6's ending proved these answers were finally at hand, with Episode
00:397 delivering.
00:40By the time of The Acolyte Episode 7's ending, more was revealed about what really happened
00:45to the witches of Brendoke.
00:47Moving away from the Acolyte Sith Lord Kimir for a week, Episode 7 detailed what exact
00:52role the JD had in the destruction of Brendoke's fortress.
00:56This links inherently to the fate and origins of Mae and Osha, what became of them, and
01:01how a series of tragic misunderstandings could bring the members of the JD Order to lie to
01:06the Council.
01:07One of the many lingering questions after The Acolyte Episode 3 was what the JD were
01:12doing on Brendoke in the first place.
01:14The Acolyte Episode 7's return to the planet immediately made this clear, with the story
01:19being told from the JD's perspective rather than that of Osha or Mae.
01:23In The Acolyte, the JD were dispatched to Brendoke to investigate the planet's mysterious
01:28growth of life.
01:29Indra reveals that the planet of Brendoke was once rendered lifeless due to a hyperspace
01:35disaster, the defining event of Star Wars High Republic-era book stories.
01:39However, Brendoke was miraculously flourishing with life.
01:43The JD were sent to Brednok to investigate why, believing that a Force Virgin's was responsible
01:48for Brendoke's enrichment.
01:50In Star Wars, Force Virgins are concentrated areas of the Force linked to a place, a person,
01:56an object, or an entire planet.
01:59In Brendoke's case, the Virgin's was causing life on the planet, hence the JD's investigation.
02:04One of the biggest hints that more mysteries lie at the center of The Acolyte Episode 3's
02:09flashbacks was the dead bodies of the Brendoke witches.
02:13Rather than be burned or charred in any way, the witches were simply dead, seemingly unaffected
02:18by the blaze that reportedly killed them.
02:20In The Acolyte Episode 7, it is revealed what actually happened to the witches and
02:25how the JD were involved.
02:27After realizing that Osha and Mei's mysterious origins were a result of Brendoke's Force
02:31Virgins, Torben rushed to take the girls back to Coruscant to end the unwanted mission on
02:36the planet.
02:37Sol pursues Torben, with the two being confronted by the witches of Brendoke upon reaching their
02:42compound.
02:43As tensions rise, Mei appears to tell Anisead that the fire she started is threatening Osha's
02:48life.
02:49Sol attempts to use a dark side force power to save Osha, causing Sol to retaliate out
02:54of fear.
02:55Sol stabs Anisead with his lightsaber, killing her and forcing the rest of her coven to attack
03:00the JD.
03:01After Kelnaca arrives to help his comrades, the remaining witches use their powers to
03:06enter his mind and coerce him into attacking Sol and Torben.
03:10Indra arrives and subdues Kelnaca, using the force to free his mind.
03:14Upon doing so, the remaining witches of Brendoke fall to the ground, dead.
03:18Concerning why, this is likely because of the strain of overpowering Kelnaca and Indra's
03:23pushback.
03:24Taking over the mind of a Wookiee is likely no small feat that would only be bolstered
03:29by Indra's force power.
03:30As evident with Luke's death in the last JD, force struggles can cause death in extreme
03:35cases.
03:36Indra's power proved too much for the witches of Brendoke, resulting in their deaths.
