Johor Immigration nabs 76 without papers in raid on three districts
The Johor Immigration Department arrested 76 individuals in Mersing, Muar, and Johor Baru for staying and working in the country without proper documentation.
In a separate case, the department also apprehended 78 illegal immigrants during a raid on two electronic device factories in Johor Baru.

01:10Investigations are also underway under the Immigration Regulations of 1963 for violations
01:16related to visit pass requirements and abuse of social visit passes, PLS.
01:22Additionally, some detainees are being investigated under Section 39B of the Immigration Regulations
01:29of 1963 for misuse of social visit passes.
01:34In an unrelated case, Mohamed Rusti reported that 78 illegal immigrants were arrested during
01:41a raid on two electronic device factories in Johor Bahru on Thursday following a tip-off
01:47from the public.
01:48Among those arrested were 68 Myanmar women, six men and two women from China, a Nepalese
01:54man and an Indonesian woman, all aged between 19 and 58 years old.
02:00A 43-year-old local man, who was the factory manager, was also taken into custody to assist
02:05with the investigation.
02:07This case is also being investigated under the Immigration Act of 1959-63, including
02:14charges related to harboring illegal immigrants.
