00:09The operation, at 12.05 a.m. on Friday,
00:12involved 113 officers and was prompted by public complaints.
00:17Immigration Department Director General Datuk Zakaria Shaban
00:21reported that of 374 foreigners checked,
00:25those detained were aged between 20 and 55
00:28from Bangladesh, Nepal, Myanmar, Indonesia, Pakistan and India.
00:33The arrests were made for various immigration violations,
00:36including lack of identification documents and overstaying.
00:40The detainees have been transferred to the Immigration Depot in Pekan Nenas, Johor.
00:45Zakaria said the department will continue its strict enforcement
00:48against immigration law violators.
