01:15which he had built for his wife Mumtaz Mahal.

01:43After getting to know this, Shah Jahan sent a marriage proposal to Mumtaz

01:51About 5 years after the engagement, on 10th May 1612,
01:56they got married to Mumtaz Mahal.
01:59After marriage, she was named as Arjumand Bano Begum.
02:02After this, she died on 17th June 1631
02:06and she gave birth to 14 children of Shah Jahan.
02:10She was the chief wife and queen of Mughal Empire from 1628 to 1631.
02:15While giving birth to her daughter Gauhar Bano Begum,
02:18she died and she was buried in Taj Mahal.
02:22The construction of Taj Mahal
02:24Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan had it built in 1632 in memory of Mumtaz Mahal
02:28but this tomb was built in 1643.
02:32It is said that this tomb is spread over 17 hectares,
02:36which also has a mosque and a guest house.
02:40This palace has been built very beautifully.
02:43Apart from the tomb of Mumtaz Mahal,
02:46there are many other rooms inside and below it,
02:49many of which are closed since Mughal times.
