00:00On a different matter, as the Maduro regime continues to attempt to steal the election,
00:08the people of Venezuela are standing up forcefully against the predations of a hellish socialist
00:15dictatorship across the country.
00:19Working Venezuelans are protesting in the streets.
00:22They've torn down a statue of Maduro's socialist predecessor, Hugo Chavez, and in at least
00:28one instance security forces have removed their uniforms and refused to use force against
00:37the demonstrators.
00:38The people of Venezuela are putting up an inspired resistance.
00:44Unfortunately, they're up against an authoritarian who will stop at nothing to retain his grip
00:53on power.
00:55After all, Maduro has learned from the worst – Moscow, Beijing, Tehran, Damascus, and
01:03Havana – and he has no shortage of useful idiots and fifth columns at his disposal.
01:13Some of the same corners of social media that defended Bashar Assad, spun conspiracies about
01:19Ukraine and demonized Israel are now laughably accusing the CIA, believe it or not, of masterminding
01:29Venezuela's unrest.
01:31Meanwhile, supposedly mainstream media here in America are already hard at work whitewashing
01:37history.
01:38According to the New York Times, Venezuela's problem isn't the abject failure of socialism,
01:46but the incursion of a supposed brutal capitalism.
01:52George Orwell would like a word.
01:56Mr. President, the free world ought to have the courage to look evil in the face and call
02:01it what it actually is.
