00:00Bersatu member Bajul Hisham Shaharin, otherwise known as Cikubat, was arrested by police in
00:08Putrajaya today, according to his lawyer, Rafiq Rashid Ali.
00:12In confirming the arrest, he said Bajul was apprehended at 3pm at the Putrajaya Police
00:17Headquarters.
00:19Rafiq said the police are investigating him for giving false information under Section
00:24203A of the Penal Code, wrongful communication under Section 8 of the Official Secrets Act
00:291972, and misuse of network facilities under Section 233 of the Communications and Multimedia
00:36Act 1998.
00:38He also said the investigation was over Bajul's allegations of corruption involving a senior
00:43NAVO officer.
00:45The police will apply for remand at the Putrajaya Magistrate's Court at 9am tomorrow, Rafiq
00:50said.
00:51FMT has reached out to the police for confirmation of his arrest.
