00:00Members of the Global Ikhwan Network are unlikely to participate in the National Security Council's
00:07voluntary rehabilitation program without the blessings of the group's top leaders.
00:13Lawyer Rosli Kamaruddin, representing Global Ikhwan Services and Business Holdings,
00:19said that while the entity welcomes the initiative, its members are hesitant to sign up.
00:24Rosli said the members do not know how to respond to the offer,
00:28especially because their senior leaders are still detained under the Security Offences Act 2012.
00:35Rosli said some members have no interest in joining the program,
00:39as they do not view the group's beliefs and practices to be deviant.
00:43He added that members also want to know whether they will be paid allowances for the duration
00:48of the program, since authorities have seized their business premises and other assets.
00:54Last Monday, the NSC announced the setting up of a voluntary rehabilitation program
01:00for members of the Global Ikhwan Network and followers of its doctrine,
01:04with the aim of helping them return to the true teachings of Islam and assimilating into society.
