00:00I understand that Mr. Latte's investment here is titled Leap Together to New Horizons.
00:20So this was successfully launched on the 27th of August this year,
00:25with the participation of dealers from across the ASEAN region.
00:30And I believe that the entire region is eagerly anticipating today's launch of Leap Motor C10.
00:40This is a vehicle distinguished by its groundbreaking technology and innovative design.
00:48Not that I've seen the car, it's based on my notes.
00:52So we know that Talantis is not a new player in the Malaysian auto industry,
00:57but this launch marks a significant moment for both Malaysia and the wider region.
01:03And your decision to make Malaysia the first market in Southeast Asia for Leap Motor
01:10and the all-new Leap Motor C10 demonstrates the confidence that global players have
01:17in our country's growing role as a hub for new energy.
01:22So thank you to the group.
01:24And the C10, I know that the C10 will also enhance consumer choices with access to world-class EVs.
01:35We of course have low-carbon emission targets.
01:38Our target to be net zero by as early as 2050 or by 2050.
01:44And this also comes at a time when the global automotive industry is experiencing a shift,
01:50a transformative shift towards sustainable mobility solutions.
01:55So I'm confident that all of you here are conscious about real and greatly appreciative
02:01that we have another exciting option when we blast for EV cars.
02:07So ladies and gentlemen, there's a bit of information that I'd like to share with you.
02:12The automotive industry remains a very important pillar for Malaysia's economic growth.
02:18And it actually contributes about 4-5% of our GDP annually and supporting over 700,000 jobs.
02:28So it's a very important part of our economy.
02:32And we have the sector's total import value of 16 billion ringgit and export value of 18 billion ringgit.
02:39And mainly for exports of automotive parts.
02:42So there is a trade deficit for this automotive sector.
02:46So we need to do something about this.
02:48And with Stellantis announced its position to establish Malaysia as a regional manufacturing hub
02:55as part of its build in ASEAN, for ASEAN strategy, along with the regional headquarters for India and Asia-Pacific.
03:03Of course, we are meeting fairly almost.
03:06We were very clear, we are still current and I'm optimistic that this decision will significantly boost our automotive industry
03:14facilitating advanced technology transfer and also contribute to improving our export.
