00:12auto-translated by Facebook from its original Malay text. In a statement today
00:18it said it had not uploaded any English content on its official Facebook page.
00:23The word congratulations was translated to condolences in the translated text.
00:29Earlier, Communications Minister Fahmy Fazil also clarified that the
00:34translation mistake was made by Facebook and urged people to stop sharing the
00:38post. RTM said it has lodged a police report over the matter and contacted
00:44Facebook's parent company Meta regarding the error. It said that Meta has
00:50acknowledged the issue and corrected the mistranslation.
