00:15The PERA BN chief said attempts by PN to draw at least four Assemblymen to form a majority

00:21of 30 seats in the State Legislative Assembly have been futile.

00:26He added that this was especially so given the 50 million ringgit fine that BN elected

00:31representatives would have to pay should they change their allegiance.

00:36Sarani was asked to comment on the opposition's frequent talk of toppling the unity government

00:41in PERA.

00:43Last May, PERA PAS Commissioner Razman Zakaria claimed that a few state Assemblymen from

00:48the unity government had met him after speculation of a move to topple the state government started

00:54spreading.

00:56Meanwhile, Sarani said DAP has been a good partner in the state government and has not

01:02attempted to exert control despite having more Assemblymen.

01:07Sarani said the understanding between the two coalitions can be seen in how controversial

01:12PERA DAP leaders such as Ngak Kormeng and Ngeku Ham had retracted their statements after

01:18being criticised by UMNO.
