00:05A man from Glasgow has been jailed for three years for drug supply following a vehicle stop on the M6 in January.
00:13Dylan Hayes, 23, of Harris Road, Glasgow, was sentenced at Preston Crown Court for possession with intent to supply Class A drugs, heroin.
00:23Police stopped a vehicle on the hard shoulder of the M6 just prior to Junction 35, which Hayes was a passenger in, on the evening of January 10th, 2024.
00:34Hayes was found with a bag of heroin weighing around 1kg, with the approximate street value of £50,000.
00:42Police closed a road along Preston docks to deal with an urgent incident this morning.
00:48Officers closed Mariner's Way near Morrisons shortly after 5am, with witnesses reporting a police boat on the water.
00:56Lancashire Police told the Post that officers were responding to a concern for welfare.
01:02Mariner's Way has since reopened.
01:05A lucky bingo player has scooped a whopping £50,000 jackpot prize at Blackpool's Mecca Bingo.

01:55They were rushed to hospital, but the extent of their injuries, if any, is not known.
02:00Four Pendle residents have been fined a total of £2,484 for littering the Borough streets.
02:09They were each issued a fixed penalty notice for breaching section 87 of the Environmental Protection Act 1990.
02:17None of the offenders paid their fine and the cases were referred to court.
