00:49 on the site of the former Martin Methodist Church on Midgeland Road.
00:52 Martin, the church was demolished after it closed despite a fundraising campaign to save it.
00:57 Proposals submitted to Blackpool Council said the redevelopment would see 15 supported living flats built
01:03 with associated staff area, car parking, cycle store, bin store, landscaping and access
01:09 and provision of three public electrical vehicle charging points.
01:12 Each one-bedroom apartment would be adapted for occupancy by residents with learning and physical needs
01:17 with the facility run by a registered care provider and housing association.
01:22 There would be provision for it to be staffed 24 hours a day and enable adults to live independently in the local area
01:28 instead of having to rely on out-of-town placements.
01:32 A £700,000 project to transform the iconic Lancaster Music Co-operative
01:37 into a modern, inspiring and creative community asset is now underway.
01:42 Work started at the Lodge Street rehearsal and recording venue at the end of November
01:46 with the first phase expected to last up to 30 weeks.
01:50 The project will see a comprehensive renovation of the existing two-storey 19th century warehouse
01:54 and its adjoining cottage, with four brand new music rehearsal rooms, state-of-the-art recording and control room
02:00 and a first floor performance space.
02:02 The project is being funded by Lancaster City Council, Central Government's Community Ownership Fund
02:07 and Lancaster High Street Heritage Action Zone.
02:10 In East Lancashire, police enacted a Section 60 authority covering Nelson and Briarfield areas
02:16 until 10.45pm last night.
02:19 The action follows a recent incident where a man was seriously assaulted with a weapon in the area.

02:28 but the belief is that the attack was targeted and there was not a wider threat to the public.
