00:00Nia and the unfriendly elephant.
00:05All kinds of wildlife live happily on the island of Sodor.
00:10From the deer in the woods, to the whales in the ocean.
00:16From the birds in the sky, to the birds on the ground.
00:22And the animals from the farm.
00:25Then, there's the Sodor Animal Park, which has lots of animals, such as zebras, camels,
00:40giraffes and monkeys.
00:46And they were expecting a new elephant.
00:50Oh, hiya, Nia! Are you picking up the new elephant and taking her to the animal park?
00:58Yes! I'm really excited!
01:00And I'm sure she's excited to be meeting you!
01:04See you later!
01:06I wouldn't be so sure about that.
01:09What? Why?
01:11I just saw the elephant about to cross Vicarstown Bridge from the mainland.
01:17I don't think she likes steam engines very much.
01:21Well, she'll like me!
01:24Sorry, Nia. I'm afraid this elephant doesn't like steam engines.
01:29Oh, it's okay. I met plenty of elephants back home in Kenya.
01:34Some really difficult ones. I'm sure I can win her over.
01:38Don't worry. I won't hurt you. I'm here to help you.
01:45Oh, I know what to do!
01:49Get on board.
01:53Take your time.
01:57Get on board.
02:01It will be fine.
02:05We're in no hurry, so don't you worry.
02:10Get on board.
02:14Oh, dear. That singing worked before.
02:17Sorry, Nia. I guess not all elephants are the same.
02:22I've got to make the elephant feel safe and happy, so I can take her to the park.
02:30Hmm. Ah-ha!
02:36Hey! My apples!
02:40Sorry, Percy. It's for a good cause.
02:52How about we leave the elephant to the caillous and the apples?
02:56Good idea, Nia.
03:01It's working! Good girl!
03:14Sorry, Nia. I guess we'll have to go make our way to the park on foot.
03:19What else do elephants like?
03:23Oh, I know!
03:28Bell! Come quickly! It's an emergency!
03:32Oh, okay, Nia.
03:42I wondered if the elephant might like some water.
03:46Good thinking, Nia.
03:49Okay, Bell. Let's go.
03:57Do your thing!
04:04There you go, friend. How do you like that?
04:07It seems to be working.
04:11Express coming through!
04:18No! Come back!
04:22Oh! What shall we do?
04:24We've got to find her.
04:26You wait here in case she comes back this way.
04:29So, Nia and the elephant carer searched high and low for the missing elephant.
04:35Have you seen the elephant, Bell?
04:38No, I haven't.
04:40I haven't either. I've really messed up.
04:43It's not your fault.
04:45The elephant ran off because it was scared.
04:48Everything here must seem very strange to you.
04:52Yes, it does.
04:54But I'm sure it's not the elephant's fault.
04:58It's not your fault.
05:00The elephant ran off because it was scared.
05:03Everything here must seem very strange to it.
05:07That's it!
05:09I know something that will make the elephant feel safe and happy.
05:14Something familiar.
05:16Wait here! I'll be right back.
05:23Any luck?
05:24No, not yet, Bell.
05:29Nia's brought another elephant along with her.
05:33What a clever idea!
05:35I realise this elephant needed something familiar, like another elephant.
05:54I think it's working.
05:59We did it!
06:01Yes, we did.
06:03So now Nia was doubly happy.
06:06She'd made the new elephant feel at home on Sodor,
06:09and she got to take two elephants to the animal park.
06:14Well done, Nia.
06:19Thank you, Nia. You did a good job today.
06:24And as a reward, I'd like you to continue helping out at the animal park.
06:29You can bring the animal feed from the docks and fruit from the farm,
06:33as well as straw for the animals' bedding.
06:35And sometimes you can give safari rides to visitors.
06:39Yes, sir. Thank you, sir.
06:42Nia!
06:46Where are my apples?
06:49Hey!
