00:00Hello there, very good morning to you. While some of us may get a very brief
00:04glimpse of something summery today, it is not going to last throughout this week
00:08unfortunately. We do have this area of low pressure slowly arriving in from the
00:12southwest today that is going to be bringing an area of rain later on. So we're
00:16already starting to see some outbreaks of light rain for the likes of Devon and
00:19Cornwall and the cloud will be building here across southern England and into
00:23southern Wales throughout the day. For everyone else though it is actually
00:26quite a nice start to the new working week. A decent number of sunny spells
00:29out there. We will see some showers bubbling up into the afternoon. Some of
00:33those could be on the sharp side so just watch out for a lot of heavy downpour or
00:37two. Still though there are sunny spells in between the showers and feeling
00:40actually quite pleasant even warm in amongst all of that with light winds.
00:44Temperatures climbing to heights of 19 to 21 degrees Celsius which is pretty
00:48much where we'd expect them to be for this time of the year. Unfortunately for
00:52those underneath the most persistent cloud and rain in the south though it is
00:55going to be feeling much cooler. Temperatures really only 15 to 17
00:59degrees Celsius at best here. And if you are heading home later on in the
01:05southwest do be prepared for some heavy pulses of rain to start arriving in
01:09later on as we see the wind strengthening as well turning quite
01:11gusty around coastal areas turning murky with the low cloud as well really is
01:16going to be a fairly damp and dreary end to the day unfortunately. That rain also
01:21pushing its way into Wales central areas of England skirting into the likes of
01:25Yorkshire Merseyside as well. Underneath all of that it is going to be quite a
01:30mild night temperatures not dropping much below 13 to 14 degrees Celsius.
01:34Elsewhere particularly for areas of Scotland where we hold on to the clearest
01:38skies overnight temperatures will drop down into single figures so a bit of a
01:42fresher start to Tuesday morning here. It is though northern Scotland that are
01:46really going to see the best and brightest and driest conditions
01:50throughout Tuesday staying dry here with a decent number of sunny spells
01:54throughout the day. Elsewhere though we've got heavy pulses of rain moving
01:58into northern England parts of Northern Ireland into southern Scotland as well
02:01so again take care if you're traveling here. We've also got to watch out for
02:04another pulse of rain just pushing its way into southeastern areas of England
02:08that one could also come with a few rumbles of thunder in the mixture as
02:12well. Winds though will be quite brisk and amongst all of this but they are
02:16starting to come in from the south and that is feeding in some slightly warmer
02:20and more humid air so feeling a bit close and amongst all that cloud
02:24temperatures around 20-21 degrees Celsius but where you're stuck
02:29underneath the cloud and rain obviously 20-21 degrees Celsius still won't feel
02:33like the most pleasant thing in the world. The area of low pressure is
02:37looking like it is going to stay with us throughout Wednesday so still widely
02:40unsettled here but signs are from Thursday onwards it will shift away and
02:45we could start to see something drier developing for the second half of the
02:48week. We'll have plenty more details on all of that in our week ahead forecast
02:53later on so subscribe to the YouTube channel so you know when that is
02:57revealed and we'll see you again here later on. Bye bye.
