00:00With a name like Babi Kua Hitam, it isn't hard to guess what's on the menu.
00:10There's Bak Kut Teh, Cik Kut Teh and Loro Fan, the Taiwanese braised pork rice.
00:16And on the weekends, customers can also look forward to Nasi Ulam with Babi Ketjap.
00:22But what is unexpected is the fact that the man behind all these scrumptious Chinese and Taiwanese food
00:28is an Indian.
00:30Meet Logan Terence Lopez.
00:32But then again, Lopez grew up in Klang, the land of Bak Kut Teh itself,
00:37so perhaps this isn't too surprising after all.
00:41Something that I grew up eating.
00:44I don't brand myself as Klang Bak Kut Teh.
00:48I'm just the guy, the Klang boy who makes Bak Kut Teh, you know.
00:53It took Lopez about two weeks and multiple attempts to nail a winning recipe.
00:58And in his quest for perfection, he visited his usual haunts in Klang.
01:03For research purposes, of course.
01:05And it does look like he succeeded,
01:07as the Bak Kut Teh and Cik Kut Teh he sells are simply delicious,
01:11with a rich, aromatic broth and juicy meat.
01:15The Loro Fan too is another mouth-watering dish that is hearty and homey
01:20and bound to please adults and children alike.
01:23Besides serving lip-smacking food, he keeps his prices pocket-friendly.
