00:58Hello, everybody! I'm Michael O'Malley,
01:00and welcome to the Extreme Arena, home of Nickelodeon Guts!
01:03The action sports show where kids live out their greatest sports fantasies.
01:07Today, once again, our players will be battling their way through four outrageous events,
01:11and after that, they'll get a chance to climb our radical rock, the aggro crag,
01:16where almost anything can happen.
01:18The player with the most points at the end of all of our events is the winner,
01:21and he or she gets to take home a glowing piece of our radical rock.
01:25Now, remember, all of our events are specifically designed with our players' safety in mind.
01:28They will be wearing safety equipment,
01:30and they will have a stunt coordinator and stunt spotters with them at all times,
01:34so please, don't try this at home.
01:36Everybody who plays hoops dreams of slam-dunking a basketball.
01:40Well, in our first event, it helps your hang time soar.
01:43We call it Slam Dunk,
01:45and the object of the game is to score as many baskets as you can on our 11-foot hoop.
01:49Let's go to our referee, Maura Quirk, for the rules. Mo!
01:53Hey, Mike. At the sound of my whistle, all three players will grab a basketball,
01:57jump off the aerial bridge, bounce up, and shoot.
02:00They'll have 60 seconds to score as many baskets as possible.
02:04All three players will compete at the same time,
02:06and baskets will only count if they have been shot after the player has touched the ground.
02:11The player with the most baskets at the sound of the horn wins.
02:15So, kids, are you ready, then? On your mark, get set...
02:19And they are off! Launching their way up, and oh!
02:23And those four on the first try, and they're back up on the aerial bridge,
02:27getting another basketball, and cleaning their feet, and oh, and it's up, and it's...

02:33Now, it's very important, ladies and gentlemen, to get the shot off at the proper time,

03:41All righty, Janet, describe to me the feeling you had getting up on that aerial bridge and jumping off.
03:47Oh, it was like hard, it's like taking all your energy away.
03:51Taking all your energy away, but you came away with first place,
03:53and Chris, how about yourself, describe the feeling for us.
03:55Yeah, it was pretty exciting.
03:57It was exciting, all right, you guys, let's go now to the leaderboard and check out the score, Mo!
04:03Mike, first place in our events is worth 300 points, that goes to both Janna in red and Chris in purple,
04:09in third place is Lisa in blue with 100 points.
04:12All right! Yeah! That's the end of our first event, oh!
04:17Now it's a chance for Lucky to spill her guts, so Lucky, spill your guts!
04:22Lucky Lisa Tango is 12 years old, she spends most of her free time doing gymnastics or dancing.
04:28Lisa reveals that she's developed a new butt dismount for the vault competition.
04:33That's lucky, yeah.
04:37Oh, well, a new butt dismount, sounds a little wild, and there's a look at our scoreboard.
04:41As we come down and take a look at our track, our next event is called Wild Wheels, as in no steering wheels.
04:48Our players will have to maneuver their way around the track by shifting their weight from side to side.
04:53Definitely sounds like alternative transportation, let's go to Moor Quirk for the rules, Mo!
04:57At the sound of my whistle, each player will begin the course.
05:00Players must negotiate each obstacle before moving on to the next one,
05:04and penalty seconds will be added to the player's score for any violations.
05:08So with that, are you ready? Then on your mark, get set, whistle!
05:13And the lucky one, Lucky Lisa, a cautious beginning right here.
05:18She needs to make her way around the cones as she's maneuvering, no problem so far.
05:23She has not stepped off the track with the tricycle.
05:26Oh, and she's having some trouble getting up the ramp.
05:29She needs to get enough power there, she may have to back up and get back on there.
05:32Her feet falling out of the toe clips, she's losing precious time right now.
05:36Now she's making her way up, oh, there she is, she shifted the weight back down.
05:40She's coming around the third corner, and she's going to also have to maneuver her way around these cones right here.
05:47This is not like riding your big wheel around the neighborhood, ladies and gentlemen.
05:51Another platform to come up, and oh, she just, she barrels into the side of it.
05:55Oh, she's having trouble getting back, sitting straight up.
05:57But Lucky Lisa's going to cross the finish line, a time of 47.3 seconds.

06:47There she is, she is not afraid to maneuver those turns and not afraid at all to come barreling into this first ramp.
06:53Up and down, oh, it looks like she may destroy Lucky Lisa's time as she comes around the third corner.
06:59Oh, she's definitely making phenomenal time right here.
07:02Looking like Greg DeMond in the Tour de France, except she's in the Tour de Guts.
07:06And she's going to cross the line in 24 seconds, destroying the Warrior, destroying Lucky's time.

09:40And before we get to our next event, it's time for the Warrior to spill her guts.

09:47Janna the Warrior wearing is 13 years old.
09:50She placed second in gymnastics at the latest Junior Olympics.
09:53When she's not in the gym, she soars with the birds on a hang glider.
09:58That mad woman and the Warrior getting ready to do battle in our next event,
10:03which takes place in our gym.
10:04It's called Basic Training.
10:05And let's take a look, because the obstacles change every day here on Guts.
10:09Today, they're going to have the cargo net, the tightrope walk, down the slide for life,
10:13and then right on over here into the elastic jungle.
10:16Look at this thing.
10:17I'd like to see a giraffe get through that thing.
10:19And then up the wall climb, and then down onto the free fall.
10:22Let's go to the rules from Momo.

10:25Our players will be timed from starting line to free fall.
10:28They must complete each obstacle before moving on to the next one.

15:04She must high-five the judge on the other side and then turn back around.
15:11She is now at about 24 seconds.

18:08Let's take a look at Lucky Lisa and her vertical jump and putting that ball right in there.

18:16And then we're going to take a look at Jenna coming around the final turn in the wild reels race.
18:22She took first in this one.
18:23Look at her skidding across the line, taking number one points in that one.
18:27And then we're going to take a look at Jenna the warrior again, making a move up the cargo net.
18:34She puts her leg through a hole right there.
18:37But with a look of determination on her feet, she gets back up the cargo net, onto the platform,
18:44and ready to walk the tightrope end over end there.

18:52Dancing across that tightrope and getting ready to go down the slide for life.

18:57Oh, my gosh, that is gonzo, getting gonzo in the water.
19:02He's coming down, and look at his board.
19:04His boogie board capsizes.
19:06He's trying to make it in there, trying to take first place in this one.
19:09But the water pushing his board away.
19:12He doesn't.
19:13He has to keep stretching, and then he finally hits the high five.
19:17And now we are ready for the aggro crag behind me.
19:21This aggro crag can do anything.
19:23Slime floods, rock avalanches, snow in your face.
19:27A lot of stuff can happen.
19:28Let's go to Mo for the rules.
19:30Mo.
19:31Mike, players will start at the sound of my whistle.
19:34Each player has an identical side of the mountain to climb and may not cross into another player's path.
19:39During their climb, they must light up each of six targets located on their side of the crag.
19:45The first player to set off all the targets, including the final one at the peak of the mountain,
19:50will receive first place points.
19:52Mike.
19:53Our mountain making some noise in the background there, and our players getting their game faces on.
20:00There's Lucky Lisa right there.
20:02Now, remember, I want to remind everybody that points have skyrocketed in the aggro crag event.

20:16So, Chris with 800 points, if he can take this, it could be tight.

20:52The crag could decide it.
20:54Oh, oh, look at our purple player slipping.
20:56And then Jenna, the warrior.
20:57She is the warrior today with a perfect score.
21:02And then it is very close to see who got up there next.

21:07It's going to be very tight to see who got second place, whether it is our blue player or our purple player.
21:13This is going to be close, ladies and gentlemen.
21:16Take a look at the slime coming out there and the rocks falling on our blue player, Lucky Lisa.
21:21And then take a look at that wide shot of our red player.
21:24And at this point, they're both slipping at the same time.
21:27Our purple player ahead of our red player.
21:29Oh, that was really close.
21:31But the way of the peaceful warrior, she battled it out.
