00:00Hello there, welcome to your latest Met Office weather forecast. Well, this weekend most
00:05of us should see some sunshine but there is also a little bit of rain around. Most of
00:09the rain will be courtesy of this fairly weak area of low pressure that will move into parts
00:13of northern England and Wales today. But either side of it, there should be some decent spells
00:19of sunshine and actually for most, Sunday offers a fairly dry picture. But you can see
00:23further weather fronts waiting in the Atlantic for the start of next week.
00:28So back to the here and now, you can see this area of cloud and rain across parts of northern
00:32England and Wales that may well just spread into parts of the Midlands too come the end
00:37of the afternoon. Either side, as I mentioned, plenty of sunshine. However, the far north
00:41of Scotland, still quite blustery here with some frequent showers coming and going. But
00:47in the sunshine, especially across the south, feeling very warm, highs reaching around 24
00:52or 25 degrees.
00:55So this evening, this area of cloud and rain gradually works its way south eastward. So
00:59it will cheer up for a time before sunset across parts of Northumberland and Cumbria.
01:04And as that area of cloud and rain tracks its way south eastward, it does weaken. So
01:08very little rainfall actually expected across the far south of the country. To the north
01:13of it, still some blustery showers across parts of Scotland. Driest weather by the end
01:18of the night across parts of northern England and into northern Ireland. Under the clear
01:23skies, feeling a little bit fresh. Lows in most towns and cities staying in double figures,
01:28but in the countryside could just fall into single figures. But under the cloud further
01:32south, temperatures not falling much lower than 15 or 16 degrees. So a bit of a grey
01:37start across the south, still the risk of the odd spot of rain, but it will cheer up
01:41here as the morning goes on. Best of the sunshine first thing across Wales, the Midlands, northern
01:46England, but cloud will tend to bubble up here as the day goes on. Scotland, northern
01:51Ireland, initially seeing some showers, but I think as the afternoon moves in here it
01:56actually should turn a little bit drier. But I think come the end of the afternoon, if
02:01you're looking for sunshine, the best of that will be down towards the south western corner.
02:06But with more of a north westerly flow tomorrow, for most of us it should be feeling fairly
02:10fresh. Temperatures in the south reaching around 21 or 22 degrees. A little bit below
02:16par further north with highs not much higher than around 17 or 18 degrees.
02:23Then a quick look into the start of next week. We see a weather front move across the UK
02:28during Monday. Fairly weak across the south, so very little rainfall here. Most of the
02:33wet weather will be confined across the north. But for most of us a fairly grey start to
02:38the new working week. But I think come the afternoon we should start to see some brightness
02:43across the west. And for most temperatures around or maybe just a little bit below par
02:48for the time of year. But if you want more information about the weather where you are
02:52over the coming days, you can always check out our app or our website. But for me, for
02:56now, take care and I'll see you again soon.
