00:00Hello, there. Welcome to your latest forecast from the Met Office. We're starting to see
00:04a change, particularly across the north-west of the UK, over the next few days. Some heavy
00:09rain and stronger winds is expected, high pressure holding on, keeping it largely settled
00:14across southern parts of England and Wales. But this deep area of low pressure will continue
00:19to bring in heavy rain to the north-west, a Met Office warning already in force across
00:23western Scotland for Monday. For the rest of Saturday, bright spells across
00:27England and Wales, this weather front just giving thicker cloud across parts of East
00:31Anglia down into south-east England, perhaps one or two spots of rain within that. But
00:36bright spells elsewhere, scattered showers for Northern Ireland and Scotland, some of
00:41these on the heavy side. But in between, there'll be plenty of sunny spells, a little breezy
00:46across the Western Isles too. Temperatures generally lower than recent days, 18 to 23
00:52Celsius across the north of the UK, 22 to 24 further south-east, perhaps locally 25.
00:58So, in any sunny spell, still feeling fairly pleasant where the winds remain light. And
01:03as we head through into the evening time, the showers continue for a time across Northern
01:07Ireland, parts of Scotland. But they do ease, but cloud slowly thickens from the west as
01:12we head into the early hours. Largely medium to high-level cloud across England and Wales,
01:17perhaps thick enough for a couple of splashes of rain over the Pennines, but the cloud thickest
01:22across parts of Northern Ireland, western Scotland, outbreaks of rain. But generally
01:26light and patchy, one or two heavier bursts over the higher ground. And temperatures overnight
01:31tonight generally staying in double figures again, perhaps a little lower in the countryside.
01:37But overall, 12 to 14 Celsius, much more comfortable for sleeping compared to recent nights where
01:43we've seen 17, 18 Celsius in places. So, a cloudy damp start across Northern Ireland,
01:49western Scotland, Sunday morning. Outbreaks of rain continuing here through the day. Elsewhere,
01:54variable amounts of clouds, some hazy sunshine at times, but generally a lot of cloud around
01:59overall. The rain turning heavy as we move into the afternoon, evening time across parts
02:05of Northern Ireland, western Scotland too. The breeze starting to pick up here. The winds
02:08coming in from the south though, so feeling fairly pleasant in the sunny spells. Temperatures
02:1321 to 23, perhaps locally 24 in the south-east. A little chillier under the cloud and outbreaks
02:19of rain across the north-west. And that rain continues through into the evening and overnight
02:25as well. You can see the bright colours on there across parts of Northern Ireland into
02:29western parts of Scotland, continuing through Monday as well. As I mentioned, a met obvious
02:33warning in force across western parts of Scotland through the early hours of Monday, right through
02:39the day, and perhaps 50 to 75 millimetres of rain falling through the day here, leading
02:44to some local disruption. So, it is worth staying up-to-date with the forecast over
02:50the coming days. See you again soon.
