00:11The transitory criminal court issued the sentence in the so-called Manda and Bilca case, which
00:16involves a series of sexual abuses perpetrated by former soldiers of the Peruvian army between
00:231984 and 1995.
00:25The soldiers had installed themselves in the community of Manda to take control of the
00:30area shortly before the allegations of rapes against the women and girls of the village
00:35began.
00:36The court qualified the case as a crime against humanity, for which the seven accused received
00:41sentences ranging from 6 to 12 years in prison.
