00:00 So Paul we're just here at Stoneware Gallery in Bridge North, that's your baby.
00:05 Yep, yep.
00:06 And you're one of the artists featured in this weekend's upcoming event, just the Bridge North Open Artists Trail.
00:12 Bridge North Open Art...
00:14 [Laughs]
00:16 Bridge North Open House Arts Trail.
00:18 That's it, easy for you to say.
00:20 So just fill us in on what it's all about then Paul, and a bit about yourself.
00:24 Well basically the trail is, there's about 70 artists dotted all around the town in people's houses and different shops and basically 32 different venues I think there are in the town.
00:38 So it's really interesting because you can walk all the way around the town, get to know some of the old houses around Bridge North and see some really good artwork.
00:49 It kind of just brings it home as to just how many artists and creatives there are living here in Bridge North, there's a lot isn't there?
00:55 There's a lot, yes.
00:57 I mean you saw the light, you were originally a Brummie, you found Shropshire on the map and never looked back.
01:02 What is it about Shropshire then that's kind of, you know, I mean...
01:06 It's just, it's beautiful landscape, pretty towns, just lots of character to the place.
01:14 And in terms of your art, what's any particular, we've got a couple of pictures here obviously, any particular styles or medium, how would you describe your work?
01:22 Mainly watercolours but I do a bit of everything really.
01:26 And it's, landscape is my love but obviously timescapes as well but I get to paint a bit of everything really.
01:35 Any particular favourite haunts in Shropshire which you've returned to many times?
01:39 Probably the Stretton Hills is the area I paint the most.
01:45 Yeah, yeah.
01:46 What is it that's so special about that then for people who haven't been?
01:49 Again, it's just the dramatic landscape.
01:52 Yeah, and you can, with the beauty of Shropshire you can see the weather change can't you? You can see it rolling in over the hills.
01:58 Yes, yeah, yeah, yeah, always changing.
02:01 Well, good luck the weekend then chaps, so it's on two days, Saturday and Sunday is that right?
02:05 Yes, that's it, yeah.
02:06 And like we say, lots to see and do so get yourself down everybody. Thank you Paul.
02:11 Okay, thank you.
