00:03We're here in Cavite and welcome to our dream house.
00:12Okay, so before we go inside the house, let's first go to our garage.
00:17Here in the garage, two cars will fit.

01:27And one of those things that we talked about is settling down in our future home.

02:24So David and I met in 2015,
02:27and then we stayed in a small condo.

02:32we kind of felt that it would be better if our place was bigger.

02:38So we thought it would be better if it was a house.
02:40The first thing we looked at was the lot.
02:42Fortunately, my brother-in-law has connections with brokers,
02:45and he introduced us to this place.
02:48And then when we had our ocular visit,
02:50we liked it because the place is very relaxing.
02:53It's windy, the place is high,
02:55and it overlooks a beautiful view.
02:57So because the land is a bit pricey,
03:00we bought the land in 2016.
03:02We didn't have a plan at that time to construct a house.
03:09The construction of the house started during the pandemic.
03:12So during the pandemic,
03:13we realized that we needed a house.

03:19So now, we're here on the other side of our house.

04:38because intentionally, we really intended that it doesn't have a TV.
04:41Because this is supposed to be a social area
04:43so that there's no distraction when there's a conversation,
04:46chatting with friends and our family.
04:48So the design of the house, if you noticed,
04:50is modern contemporary with colors,
04:52the shades of blue, dark blue, and then orange,
04:56burnt orange, there's copper.
04:58Because that's the color of our union ceremony back in 2018.
05:08We really wanted something simpler because we were not rich.
05:12But then we felt that if we're going to invest on something,
05:16we might as well throw it away.
05:18It's like retirement, we don't know where we'll grow old.
05:20So grow old with you, cue in music.
05:23Something like that.
05:25But then since we couldn't afford it that time,
05:27we felt that since we're going to invest,
05:29let's wait, let's be patient, and let's save and save and save.
05:32So we saved for four years.
05:34Because in 2016, we bought the land.
05:39In terms of the house, David really wants it to be clean and white.
05:44The house, actually, the property isn't that big,
05:47but because of white and how it's decorated,
05:50it appears to be really big.
05:52Another thing that we want is to have a high ceiling.
05:56That's for sure.
05:57Oh, because we had a friend.
05:59When we had it constructed and designed,
06:03we had a friend who said,
06:04You know, if you really want your house to be social,
06:07it should have a high ceiling.

06:11Yes, and we didn't really have that concept.
06:14Because we didn't grow up rich,
06:16so we didn't have a concept of high ceiling.

06:21the ceiling should be at least this high,

06:30so that the house has a high ceiling.

10:46which is a custom-made same supplier of our furniture.
