00:00 It's that time of year across the West Coast.
00:03 It's the wet season and as you can see in Seattle,
00:06 November, December, January are the three months in which we see on average
00:11 more than five inches of rain in a given month.
00:14 Now, this month is off to a pretty wet start.
00:18 You can see our current storm actually moving into the northwest right now.
00:21 Here comes some rain across the I-5 corridor out toward the Olympic Peninsula
00:25 and then into the Cascade Mountains.
00:26 It's cold enough that we are getting some snow
00:29 and we'll continue to see snow into the Cascades
00:31 as this storm moves ashore today, tomorrow, and even through Sunday.
00:35 Now, we do have some pass restrictions already in Snow Calmy and Stevens Pass.
00:38 Traction tires are advised and oversized vehicles are prohibited.
00:41 I would not be surprised to see White Pass follow suit
00:44 as this storm continues onshore.
00:46 Now, soaking wet forecast for I-5 in Washington,
00:49 from Seattle to Bellingham and Olympia to Longview,
00:51 temperatures in the 40s, even 50 on the dot in Olympia.
00:54 You were just clinging to that number,
00:56 but we end up with a wet day nonetheless.
00:59 The storm continues again onshore,
01:00 bringing us more in the way of some troublesome travel weather.
01:03 Say that five times fast.
01:05 We end up with soaking rain across I-5, not just through Washington,
01:08 but down into Oregon and even into Northern California as well.
01:11 Into the Siskiyou's, the Sierra, and even the Cascades and Northern Rockies,
01:15 we end up with more in the way of some thumping snow.
01:18 How much snow?
01:19 Well, let me show you here.
01:20 Let's take a look at your passes in Washington and Oregon.
01:23 And you can see Snow Calmy, you've got six to ten inches
01:25 by the time we're done with the day on Sunday.
01:27 How about Willamette Pass, though?
01:28 A foot to a foot and a half.
01:30 The skiers and snowboarders are absolutely going to love this pattern.
01:33 But travelers, beware.
01:34 Again, we already have pass restrictions,
01:36 and I would not be surprised to see some more.
01:39 San Francisco, again, you get some rain on Saturday
01:41 into Northern California into the Bay Area.
01:43 A little pause Sunday and Monday before the next storm
01:46 comes back in the picture on Tuesday, Wednesday,
01:47 and even Thursday with a couple showers.
01:49 Seattle, quite similar in terms of the forecast.
01:52 Even a few extra days worth of rain, I'm sorry to say.
01:54 We end up with a pretty soggy week ahead and a cooler week even.
01:58 As we get to Thursday, temperatures back down toward 40 on the dot.
02:01 A rain/snow mix in your AccuWeather exclusive forecast.
