00:00 It is the wet season along the West Coast, although you might not know it considering
00:06 well we've had 0.0 little emphasis there, inches of rain in LA where we should have
00:11 seen more than an inch so far.
00:13 San Francisco, it's a similar story.
00:15 We haven't even seen a quarter inch of rainfall and we should have seen about two and a quarter
00:19 by now.
00:20 But ask and you shall receive.
00:22 Just wait a little bit and the rain's coming for you.
00:25 In fact, it's already moving into parts of the Sacramento Valley and NorCal seeing some
00:28 showers and even a couple thunderstorms this morning.
00:31 More rain in your AccuWeather exclusive forecast today for San Francisco, Sacramento, yes
00:35 LA, even you get a couple showers today, and San Diego, clouds for now but just wait a
00:39 day, rain's coming your way as well.
00:41 Here's the storm moving on shore, cold front pushing across the Golden State here that's
00:45 bringing more in the way of that rainfall, heavy at times and then you'll notice into
00:48 the Sierra and the Siskiyou's, the highest elevations of the mountains, starting to get
00:52 a wintry mix.
00:53 Don't worry, we'll get that snow going eventually, skiers and snowboarders, I know you're waiting
00:57 for it, I mean Mammoth Mountain last year for example had such a blockbuster season,
01:01 but you can see the flavor of the day.
01:03 For the most part, today it's just rain.
01:05 Again this cold front moves on shore and we see the heaviest of rain as a result into
01:09 NorCal here, more toward Redding and even again as you're getting out into the Sacramento
01:13 Valley, Bay Area still sees some rainfall through today and we play out the future rain
01:17 into tonight and tomorrow and it's a bit more of the same story.
01:20 Additional rain, really as you're looking at I-5 north of the Bay Area and even south
01:25 into Southern California, LA toward San Diego, you're going to get some showers in as well,
01:30 especially as we move into Tuesday.
01:32 Here's a look at your AccuWeather exclusive forecast for Tuesday and you can see the widespread
01:35 60's from San Francisco to Fresno all the way down to San Diego with more rain and clouds.
01:40 Redding, I'm not excluding you, you just start with a 5 instead of a 6, 59 degrees in Redding
01:44 as we move through your Tuesday.
01:46 Looking further inland, cities toward Las Vegas for example, Phoenix, it's not exactly
01:50 bitter cold, but we're pretty close to on par to where we should be for this time of
01:54 year.
01:55 But I'll tell you, in terms of the wetter weather, it's this time of year that we look
01:57 for more of it in general and that's exactly what we'll see this week.
02:02 It's not just one storm we're tracking, but rounds of rain and a couple of storms into
02:05 the west coast.
02:06 Please be careful if you are not just traveling up and down let's say I-5, but really especially
02:11 getting across the mountains, we could see not only slick conditions, but we could have
02:15 some issues with very localized flooding as well.
02:18 That said, we need the rain in California, it helps to keep the drought away, so for
02:21 the long term, we'll call it good news.
