00:09 I've always been passionate about Ballarat in general.
00:12 I was born and bred Ballarat. I know the place like the back of my hand.
00:16 I think we have wonderful school systems, wonderful hospital systems.
00:21 We've diversified over time.
00:24 One thing that I think in recent years has been a highlight has been the urban nature of the Ballarat CBD
00:31 has changed to reflect that more so of something that you might see in a Brunswick or a Fitzroy.
00:37 Our hospitality has improved out of sight over that period of time.
00:41 It's become such a nice place to head out at 8 o'clock at night and grab a glass of wine
00:47 or grab a late dinner or something like that.
00:50 So I think the way that we've evolved over the last few years
00:55 it's become a much more desirable place to live and it's something that we're proud of.
01:01 I'm just excited to see the evolution of Ballarat again.
01:05 I think we're seeing it at the moment with the growth in Ballarat West.
01:08 I think over time, over the next little period, we're going to see Ballarat almost split into two
01:13 and have a couple of centres.
01:15 We'll have the traditional Ballarat Central area
01:18 but then we'll see another city centre I think in the Ballarat West growth zone as well.
01:24 So I think it's an exciting time for our city.
01:27 Looking at population growth and all sorts of other things.
01:31 But also opening other avenues.
01:35 I know that Council at the moment are looking into opening the north a little on the other side of the freeway.
01:41 That'll be the next Lucas in my opinion.
01:45 That was the boom suburb going back eight, nine years ago.
01:49 Now I think that will be the next significant move that we see in Ballarat in real estate.
