00:09 Ballarat's my home because it's got everything I could want for me and my family.
00:14 From my family's perspective, it's got the schools, it's got the access to nature,
00:20 it has the cafes, the restaurants and everything that we want to do as a family.
00:27 And then from myself as well and for my wife, from a career perspective, it has everything and the opportunities.
00:35 My wife started a business four years ago and has gone really well with that.
00:40 And I think largely that's down to the shared entrepreneurial spirit that a lot of people seem to embrace in Ballarat.
00:48 Oh, well every week there's a new restaurant or a new bar.
00:52 I think that that just creates a great social environment.
00:56 There's fewer reasons to venture down to Melbourne to get a beautiful meal or some nice drinks.
01:04 So there's lots of reasons to hang around in Ballarat.
01:08 And some of the other changes, more and more sporting events.
01:13 There wasn't the Commonwealth Games, but there is going to be the Ballarat Marathon and I'm excited for that.

01:22 Over the next ten years we're going to experience significant growth as a city.
01:26 I think that creates great opportunity on a personal, social and professional level.
01:33 I guess the challenge for any city that experiences growth is to ensure that it maintains its place as a great place to live.
01:40 Both in terms of the physical infrastructure required, enough houses for everybody,
01:46 but then also that community and welcoming environment that there is at the moment.
01:51 And I'm sure we will maintain that.
