Brighton 2-1 Brentford: Sussex World review as local boy Jack Hinshelwood scores the winner in Premier League match
Transcript
00:00 Hello, I'm Sam Morton, reporter for Sussex World. I've just watched Brighton beat Brentford 2-1 at the Amex Stadium.
00:07 It was a really good game, Brighton played really well in for large parts.
00:11 They actually went behind after Brian Invermoore's first-half penalty after Jan-Paul Van Dekker's foul in the box.
00:16 But Brighton responded superbly and were level within four minutes.
00:20 The pass got gross, put into perfect strike, finding the net.
00:23 And you felt Brighton should have been ahead when they were at half-time.
00:27 They definitely were the better of the two sides. They didn't have to wait long after the break,
00:31 with Jack Hinchwood scoring his first professional goal with a superb header from Pascal Gross' cross.
00:36 And just moments earlier, Hinchwood had actually cleared the ball off his own line.
00:40 So, superb contributions at both ends. It's such a brilliant moment for the 18-year-old,
00:45 who's started three consecutive games now for Brighton, and is really becoming one of the first names on the team sheet.
00:50 And it was, as I say, a fantastic moment in front of his home crowd.
00:55 And it proved to be the winner. I think Brighton had chances to seal the victory,
00:59 but they defended brilliantly and they made sure they got the three points they really needed,
01:05 and bounced back really well from the defeat at Chelsea on Sunday.
01:08 So, overall, a really, really good night for Brighton and a superb night for Jack Hinchwood.
