Adamson's Lastimosa ends UAAP stint

Adamson Soaring Falcons guard Jerom Lastimosa ends his UAAP men's basketball career, having played in the Season 86 playoff for no. 4 against the Ateneo Blue Eagles at the Mall of Asia Arena on Wednesday, Nov. 22, 2023. Lastimosa pulled out of the season after suffering a full ACL tear on his left knee on October 29 during a game against the University of the Philippines. But Adamson head coach Nash Racela gave Lastimosa one last chance to play in the UAAP by putting him in the second and fourth quarters of the contest. It was in the final quarter where Lastimosa made a buzzer-beating trey to end the game.

00:00 Jerome, during the last threshold, when you were given the ball, what can you say about that moment?
00:07 That's the only moment I can't forget because that was the last shot I got in the UDAC.
00:18 And I shouldn't have because even though the ball came from the net,
00:28 I didn't know what to do.
00:31 Jerome, as you said, you wanted to play your last game and you ended up late.
00:39 What can you say about being thankful and grateful for playing for UAD?
00:45 What can you learn from the young players?
00:51 One thing that I learned in UAP was how to love the fans.
01:01 That's all I felt.
01:05 All the fans in UAP know that I'm a good player.
01:13 That's why I'm thankful and blessed because they treated me well.
01:25 I'm also thankful to the UDA community and all the schools that gave me the opportunity to play for UAD.
01:39 Can you continue?
01:41 Jerome, you played with Adamson, how you led the team, and your collegiate career.
01:52 You also experienced being a member of the Philippines team while you were with Adamson.
01:58 How do you feel about that and the community that gave you the opportunity?
02:06 I'm thankful to the UDA community.
02:10 If it wasn't for the UDA community, I wouldn't have been able to go to the Guinness World Records.
02:21 I'm also thankful to the Guinness World Records for allowing me to play for the Philippines.
02:32 I have a lot of memories with the Philippines and I bring them to my teammates and to the game world.
02:43 Thank you.
02:44 Thank you.
02:46 Thank you.
02:47 Thank you.
