00:00Good afternoon to all of us. Here is the weather update for the day of Saturday, August 31, 2024.

00:08We have two weather systems that are affecting our country.

00:12Let's start with the low-pressure area that was last seen in the 555-kilometer-east line of the G1 Eastern SAMAR.

00:20We can see in our satellite imagery that this is still in the ocean.

00:25That is why we are not removing the possibility that this will be a typhoon within the next 24 hours.

00:32We will name it Enteng.

00:34This is our fifth typhoon for the year 2024.

00:38As of now, we can see that the chances of this being a typhoon or landfall are low in any area of our Philippine landmass.

00:46But we are not removing the possibility that we will have a tropical cyclone wind signal.

00:52Because of the rain bands, there is a possibility that this will affect the Bicol region, the Eastern SAMAR, and the Caragas.

01:01And because of the low-pressure area, we are already experiencing a heavy downpour with scattered rains

01:08here in the Eastern Visayas, Central Visayas, Caragas, Davao region, and also here in the Northern Mindanao.

01:15Meanwhile, our second weather system is the Southwest Monsoon or Hanging Habagat.

01:21This is the one that is in the western section of the Southern Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.

01:27Because of this, we are also expecting to experience heavy downpours with scattered rains here in Palawan,

01:33which is in the southern part of Visayas and Mindanao, or here in the western section of Visayas and Mindanao.

01:40For our Metro Manila and the southern part of Luzon, we are expecting to experience a clear weather.

01:48But we are also expecting a high chance of rain in the afternoon and at night due to localized thunderstorms.

01:57For our weather tomorrow here in Luzon, we can see here in the Bicol region,

02:02they will already experience heavy downpours with scattered rains due to this low-pressure area or our storm.

02:10But if we see here in the western part of Luzon, we will still experience a clear weather.

02:17But let us remember that there is a high chance of rain in the afternoon and at night,

02:22together with our early morning due to localized thunderstorms.

02:27Temperature for Metro Manila is 25 to 33 degrees Celsius.

02:31Lawag is 26 to 33 degrees Celsius.

02:34Tugigarau is 25 to 34 degrees Celsius.

02:37For Baguio, we are expecting 18 to 24 degrees Celsius.

02:41Tagaytay is 23 to 32 degrees Celsius.

02:44And Legazpi is 25 to 31 degrees Celsius.

02:48For Palawan, Visayas, and Mindanao, they will already experience heavy downpours with scattered rains due to our two weather systems.

02:58Southwest monsoon is a possibility that will affect the southern Luzon and western section of Visayas and Mindanao.

03:07And if we see our eastern section, it will be affected by low-pressure area or our storm.

03:15Temperature for Calayan Islands is 24 to 31 degrees Celsius.

03:19Iloilo is 26 to 31 degrees Celsius.

03:22Tacloban is 26 to 30 degrees Celsius.

03:25For Cebu and Cagandeoro, it is 25 to 31 degrees Celsius.

03:29Dabao is 26 to 32 degrees Celsius.

03:32And here in Zamboanga, it is 25 to 31 degrees Celsius.

03:36We have not yet posted any gill warnings to any seaboards of our country.

03:41Let's look ahead to the next three days in our neighboring cities.

03:46If we see for Metro Manila and Legazpi City, throughout the three days, they will experience heavy downpours with scattered rains.

03:56We are reminding our countrymen to prepare for the next week of Southwest monsoon that will bring heavy downpours.

04:06For Metro Manila, we expect the temperature to rise to 25 to 31 degrees Celsius.

04:11Baguio City, 17 to 24 degrees Celsius.

04:14For Legazpi City, we expect 25 to 31 degrees Celsius.

04:20If we see for Metro Cebu, they will experience heavy downpours by Monday, just like here in Meta-Cloban.

04:28Unlike here in Iloilo City, throughout the three days, they will experience heavy downpours with scattered rains.

04:36This is due to the Southwest monsoon.

04:38And this is because it is in the western section of our country.

04:42But for Metro Cebu, by Tuesday, we expect their weather to be clear.

04:47Just like here in Meta-Cloban City.

04:50For Metro Cebu, we expect the temperature to rise to 25 to 32 degrees Celsius.

04:55Iloilo City, 25 to 32 degrees Celsius.

04:58For Meta-Cloban City, we expect 25 to 32 degrees Celsius.

05:03For Mindanao, if we see for Cagayan de Oro and Zamboanga City, they will experience heavy downpours by Monday.

05:10This is due to the Southwest monsoon.

05:13But if we see by Tuesday and Wednesday, their weather will start to improve.

05:18That's why they will experience a clear weather.

05:21But we still expect heavy downpours in the afternoon and night, just like localized thunderstorms.

05:27The temperature for Metro Dabao, 25 to 34 degrees Celsius.

05:32Cagayan de Oro, 24 to 33 degrees Celsius.

05:35And Zamboanga City, 24 to 33 degrees Celsius.

05:39The sunset will be at 6.09pm and the sunrise will be at 5.44am.
