Akari charges into PVL Reinforced Conference finals
The Akari Chargers secure a finals slot after fending off PLDT in a tough five-set match, 25-22, 18-25, 22-25, 26-24, 17-15, in the knockout semifinals of the Premier Volleyball League (PVL) 2024 Reinforced Conference at the Mall of Asia Arena on Aug. 31, 2024. The Chargers’ trio of Oly Okaro, Ivy Lacsina, and Grethcel Soltones all bolted in and scored in double-digit mark to pass through the test of the High Speed Hitters, Okaro fired 39 points on 35 attacks and four blocks, Lacsina made 19 markers, while Soltones added 16.
