00:28 - Two years ago, we received this as a gift.
00:31 It was a very special gift.
00:32 - Whoa, Cheddar Goblin.
00:34 - This is really weird.
00:35 It's called Cheddar Goblin,
00:36 and it is a novelty Mac, a pop culture Mac,
00:38 that was a fake mac and cheese
00:40 that was in the horror movie "Mandy,"
00:42 making it appropriate for Halloween mac and cheese content.
00:46 - I see, I've never seen the film "Mandy."
00:48 - Neither had I, but EJ and I just watched it.
00:51 - Yeah.
00:52 - It's something I watched.
00:54 - I don't recommend it.
00:56 - I watched it on Plex.
00:58 - I did too, actually, with ads.
00:59 - Yeah, the first time I've ever done that.
01:00 - I was getting interrupted by anti-acne medication
01:03 in the middle of this horrible, horrible movie.
01:05 - Yeah, I thought it was part of the movie.
01:08 - He's holding this rotting skull,
01:10 and then it would cut away for eight ads,
01:13 eight online ads, and then it would come back to him,
01:15 and he's still holding the rotting skull.

01:38 - The movie is about a lumberjack played by Nicolas Cage
01:43 and his kinda arty girlfriend.
01:46 This satanic cult that's living nearby, Blood Cult,
01:49 identifies her and wants her in the cult.
01:51 They take this extremely potent LSD,
01:53 so there's these extended, trippy LSD segments.
01:56 So it's kinda like a really slow, boring movie
01:58 for a long time, and then it kinda just turns
02:00 into the kind of brutal and grotesque in the second half.
02:03 One of our friends said that it's kinda like
02:05 a two-hour-long music video, and that's sorta true.
02:07 But for some reason, the LSD segments kept me calm.
02:10 - Really?
02:11 - Well, 'cause there's people screaming,
02:13 and the LSD would kinda hush it a little bit.

02:23 that you try to squeeze, and it comes out of your hands.
02:26 - Yeah, I was like, "Am I sure I'm watching this?"
02:28 - This sounds like something I definitely
02:29 don't wanna watch.
02:30 - There's a lot of people who don't like
02:31 horror movies straight up.
02:32 - I don't either.
02:33 - Is that true?
02:34 - I don't like being scared in general.
02:35 I don't like jump scares, I don't like
02:37 strategic, long scares.
02:39 I will say, back in the day, I enjoyed
02:40 the Blair Witch Project.
02:42 In the time, very spooky.
02:43 You know, now it's like, oh, what's the big deal?
02:45 - Well, anyway, in the middle of the movie,
02:47 and it's more of a non sequitur
02:49 than I could have ever imagined.
02:50 - Yeah.
02:51 - It's basically of the tone I just described.
02:53 He goes into the house, and it takes place
02:55 in like '83 or something, and he sees
02:57 this kind of vintage commercial for something

03:01 "all our mac and cheese."
03:02 It's like this goblin vomiting mac and cheese
03:05 onto children, and, anyway, we're gonna try that today.
03:09 (laughing)
03:10 - I'm amazed it became a real product
03:12 based just on that.
03:13 - We've also, we've been in a Walmart recently,
03:15 and we saw some new brands.
03:17 No need to do a giant spread of snacks.
03:19 - No, we've done it.
03:20 Just a little sampling.
03:21 - And then you said, "That's not enough food."
03:23 - That's not enough food.
03:24 I have been working on a new recipe
03:26 that I've made, which is a buffalo mac and cheese,
03:29 an easy to make at home buffalo mac and cheese.
03:31 So I'm gonna make that for you today,
03:32 and I'm gonna share the recipe.
03:33 The only reason I think it even remotely
03:35 fits on the show is it's gonna be orange.
03:36 - So what's the core concept behind your buffalo mac?
03:40 - There's a dish I really liked,
03:41 the buffalo chicken pasta from Wally's Tap House.
03:44 - All right, this is one of John's favorite buffalo macs.
03:46 - My favorite.
03:48 This is probably my favorite buffalo mac.
03:49 John and I have a different eating strategy.

04:03 and was delicious and creamy and macaroni and cheesy.
04:05 So I started playing around with some ideas
04:07 and came up with something easy to make and pretty delicious.
04:10 - So what's the core concept again?
04:12 - Well, you just filibustered for 10--
04:15 Yeah, I understand, but you were like,
04:17 "So it's definitely gonna be yummy,
04:18 "and we're gonna eat it."

04:20 - What's the concept behind it?

04:24 It's macaroni and cheese.
04:25 - Okay, I know what a buffalo macaroni and cheese is.

04:28 - I can't believe I have to explain this.
04:29 (laughing)
04:30 It's frustrating.
04:31 You obviously are excited about this recipe.
04:34 - Yes.
04:35 - What makes it unique?
04:36 - Nothing.
04:37 It's delicious.
04:38 - You're just gonna make a buffalo mac and cheese
04:40 for no reason?
04:40 - Yes.
04:41 (laughing)
04:43 Look, I made a new macaroni and cheese recipe.
04:45 I think it's good.
04:46 I think everyone will enjoy it.
04:47 I wanted to present it on the show.
04:48 I'm just glad we leveled the audio to screaming.
04:51 (laughing)
04:53 - Frankie was questioning earlier
04:54 why I leveled the audio to screaming level.
04:56 - He does this thing where for decades now,
04:58 when he levels audio, he'll go like,
05:00 "Check, check, check!
05:03 "For the love of God, will someone please bring me a check!"
05:05 I'm like, we're never gonna be that loud,
05:07 but when he frustrates me, we start screaming.
05:10 - We start screaming!
05:11 - All right, well while you're prepping that,
05:12 I wanna try some stuff.
05:13 - Sure.
05:14 How about some Little Bites, lightly beaten?
05:16 (laughing)
05:17 (coughing)
05:18 - Wow, you gave it more of a bang than I did.
05:20 - We've got some anger issues here.
05:22 - I'm basically Nicolas Cage from Mandy.
05:24 (laughing)
05:25 (groaning)
05:27 - I mean, it is entertaining.
05:32 That last half is, it's ridiculous, it's over the top.
05:34 - Yeah, I was about to say I'm glad I saw it,
05:36 but I don't know if I'm ready to say that.
05:38 Entenmann's Little Bites.
05:40 - Okay.
05:40 - I have a daughter, she's just over that way,
05:42 and she eats these for breakfast,
05:44 but not the pumpkin variety, no, no.
05:46 She has chocolate chip.
05:47 You get four to a package.
05:49 - Entenmann's stuff used to be one of my go-to's.
05:52 It's so tiny.
05:53 - Well, yeah, it's for children.
05:55 (laughing)
05:56 - Ew!
05:57 - It's fine.
05:59 I mean, what do you want?
06:00 - It's pumpkin muffin.
06:01 - You want one?
06:02 - She did have that pumpkin cake at the Harvest Festival.
06:04 - What do we think?
06:05 - It tastes like the cake without frosting.
06:07 - Tastes like the cake without frosting.
06:10 Did your pumpkin cake at the Harvest Festival have frosting?
06:14 - I'd say for a package snack,
06:16 it's actually fresh and moisture than I was anticipating.
06:19 - Could do worse.
06:20 - Now, Frankie, what I have here is a cheese bag.
06:24 - Oh, that was in your intro, wasn't it?
06:25 - Yes, it was.
06:26 I feel like it's an insult
06:27 that has gone by the wayside, cheese bag.
06:29 - Like, shut up, cheese bag.
06:30 - Yeah, exactly.
06:31 - Do people actually say that?
06:32 - I have these packages of cheese ends from Market Basket.
06:35 In the deli department, when they slice cheese,
06:38 at the end, there's pieces left over,
06:40 and they sell it for very cheap, for $2 a pound,
06:43 and I love buying it because it's a cheap source of cheese
06:46 and really good cheese 'cause it's deli cheese.
06:47 I also have some blue cheese crumbles,
06:50 my favorite blue cheese crumble brand, Stella.
06:52 - Stella!
06:53 - Very delicious to go on top when we're done.
06:55 Got some delicious chicken breast,
06:57 and I've also got another package
06:58 from the cheese bag of Munster cheese.
07:01 - So just to be clear,
07:01 that's what I was asking about earlier.
07:03 - Okay.
07:04 - I wasn't looking for a 15-minute filibuster
07:05 on the Congress floor about the value of mac and cheese.
07:09 - Well, there's no denying the value of mac and cheese.
07:11 I think mac and cheese is essential to everyday life.
07:12 - Oh, I gotta tell you something.
07:13 - Yeah.
07:14 - Nina was like, "Let's do it.
07:15 "Let's go do a full shop at Market Basket
07:17 "and see what happens."
07:17 - Yeah.
07:18 - I think that it came out to be about, what?
07:20 $20 cheaper than our average?
07:22 - $20 cheaper than Walmart,
07:25 which is $20 cheaper than Stop and Shop,
07:27 which is $40 cheaper than our normal.
07:29 - That's what it came out to.
07:30 - Yeah.
07:31 - It was by far the cheapest stuff at Market Basket.
07:32 The in-store congestion is palpable.
07:36 I don't know that it's worth $20 'cause it's big.
07:38 - It is, and it's serious.
07:40 It's like you're shopping at,
07:41 that's what grocery stores were like in the '80s.
07:43 - At Wall Street.
07:43 - Nowadays, if you go into a Stop and Shop,
07:45 you're by yourself.
07:46 - Yeah.
07:46 - There's no one there.
07:47 - I thought maybe it would be fun
07:48 to do the first ever Junskart sub-series.
07:51 - Ooh.
07:51 - You do the identical weekly shop
07:54 at four separate major--
07:55 - Oh, I think that's a great concept.
07:57 I love it.
07:58 - Apples to apples.
07:59 - Yeah.
08:00 - Dust to dust.
08:01 So, you want some cereal?
08:02 - Oh, sure, let's try some cereal.
08:02 - So, here's what's going on here.
08:03 I'd like to introduce you to a brand new character.
08:05 You know Count Chocula.
08:07 You know Frankenberry.
08:08 - I do.
08:09 - You know Blueberry.
08:09 I don't know that you know Mummy.
08:10 I don't.
08:11 - I don't know Mummy.
08:12 I don't know Choco Wolf.
08:14 I don't know who the wolf is.
08:15 But have you heard of Carmella Creeper,
08:17 the Zoomer Frankenstein girl?
08:19 - I definitely have not.
08:20 (laughing)
08:21 I assure you.
08:22 - It looks to me like she enjoys TikTok.
08:24 - Yep, Instagram.
08:26 - Karl Marx.
08:28 - Student debt relief.
08:29 - Student debt relief.
08:30 Yeah.
08:31 I don't think she cares about student debt relief yet.
08:33 - No.
08:34 - In a few years.
08:35 - She's well on her way.
08:35 And she has very quickly joined the ranks.
08:37 - Oh, they put her on top of everything.
08:38 - They put her on top because she's appealing to the youths.
08:41 I want Count Chocula.
08:42 - You know how many hours this dude's put in?
08:44 - How many years?
08:45 It's been since the 80s he's been working this game.
08:47 - And she pops onto the scene shouting slay into the moon.
08:50 - Yes.
08:51 (laughing)
08:52 - So I think this is all your classics
08:54 plus your new Zoomer.
08:55 - Okay.
08:55 - And in one cereal.
08:56 - Sure.
08:57 - So a mixed cereal.
08:58 So I think we first tried the baseline Carmella Creeper.
09:01 Now why would they use a term like creeper?
09:02 Isn't that a reserved term
09:04 for people who have sexual impropriety?
09:06 - Well, I think it's been corrected by Minecraft,
09:09 which is still not a positive thing.
09:10 It's like still a monster that explodes.
09:12 Wow, it's way different than I thought it would look.

09:58 - Yeah, did somebody get pissed?
09:59 - Yes, but it was before I encountered it.
10:02 I bought it off the discount rack at Market Basket.
10:04 - I don't think I would ever to save 27 cents
10:07 buy a damaged box.
10:08 - You just wanna throw money into the toilet?
10:10 - I want this little thing called quality assurance.
10:12 - What do you think happened to that box of macaroni
10:15 that would be unrecoverable?
10:16 - It's a little unpredictable.
10:18 - How do you feel about this, Matt?
10:19 - It depends on the situation, but for 27 cents,
10:21 if I know that I'm going to definitely get a better product,
10:24 I'll spend the 27 cents.
10:25 - Sorry, it's not 27 cents, it's 77 cents
10:27 'cause it's half off.
10:28 - And by the way, for anybody who's in the room,
10:30 if they want cereal, we have cereal today.
10:32 - Cereal is available in large quantity.
10:33 Do you want me to put some pasta aside for you, Gloria?
10:36 Some plain pasta?
10:37 - Yes, I would.
10:38 - I will put some aside for you.
10:39 How do you feel about Caterocula, Blueberry, Frangaberry?
10:43 - Again, I'm not like a huge fan.
10:46 - Really?
10:46 Is there a sweet cereal that you are a huge fan of?
10:48 I mean, peanut butter puffs all day long.
10:51 - Peanut butter and chocolate checks, let me tell you.
10:53 I'm flattening out the chicken breasts
10:55 to make them cook a little more evenly.
10:56 Oh, you've already moved on without me.
10:58 - Yeah, sorry.
10:58 I think it's quite nice.
11:00 You're getting a cacophony of haunted flavors.
11:04 - You're getting a cacophony of haunted flavors.
11:09 I like it more than the other one.
11:10 - I like the unpredictability of every bite.
11:12 - It's unpredictable.
11:14 It's good.
11:15 - Let me ask you this.
11:16 Who did nostalgic Halloween commercials
11:18 better than McDonald's?
11:19 Nobody.
11:20 - Oh, nobody.
11:21 Plus they had the tie-ins.
11:22 Remember those baskets?
11:23 The baskets were such fun.
11:24 - Yeah, they brought them back last year, right?
11:25 - I know, but they weren't quite as good.
11:27 - This kind of hipster marketing for McDonald's
11:29 is a smart move.
11:29 - But the thing I still don't get,
11:31 the stores themselves have been all remodeled
11:33 to look so depressing and boring.
11:35 - They copied like Starbucks, that boxy design.
11:38 - Yeah, the only color is the McDonald's arches.
11:40 That's it.
11:41 - We went to a Wendy's not too long ago.
11:42 The central purpose was to have some pumpkin frosties
11:46 'cause they have pumpkin spice frosties.
11:47 The first time you and I ever hung out in the year 2000.
11:52 - Holy cow.
11:53 - May 2000, 23 years ago,
11:54 we picked up frosties.
11:56 - From this very Wendy's.
11:57 - From this very Wendy's.
11:58 And we were filming right over there in the woods.
12:00 - Yeah.
12:01 - But look, pumpkin spice frosty.
12:03 - I am intrigued.
12:04 I am a big fan of frosties.
12:07 - Oh.
12:08 - It's pretty good.
12:08 Much more like authentic pumpkin-y flavor
12:11 than I expected.
12:12 - Wow.
12:13 - Yeah, it's not what I expected.
12:14 I was expecting some kind of Dunkin' Donuts
12:16 overly sweet thing.
12:17 And it tastes like it has blended pumpkin.
12:19 - It's actually a really good pumpkin flavor.
12:20 - It has such a unbelievably authentic pumpkin taste.
12:24 - And here we are again, 23 years later,
12:26 eating frosties.
12:26 - Yep, it's grown on me.
12:28 - Yeah?
12:29 It's good.
12:30 - It's good.
12:31 - It tasted pretty good.
12:32 They were just kind of like pumpkin ice cream.
12:32 - It was really pumpkin-y.
12:34 I was kind of surprised.
12:34 - But John here, man, let me tell you.
12:36 Can I just say, these floors are downright dangerous.
12:38 I don't know if you're experiencing this,
12:40 but it's like a light ice skating rink.
12:42 - They had some kind of greaser on the floor.
12:44 - Yeah, so I know exactly what the chemical is.
12:47 It's a degreaser, actually,
12:48 that you put on floors so that it dissolves the grease.
12:51 But after you use that,
12:52 you have to wash the floor with plain water a couple times.
12:55 - You'll be shocked to learn
12:57 that the fast food employees didn't.
12:58 - Didn't.
12:59 So instead, the whole place is just like,
13:01 if you just stand there, you just slowly slide,
13:03 especially if you're me and you have a lot of gravity.
13:05 - Right.
13:06 - You really have to plant your feet.
13:07 - And on one hand, I don't want to laugh
13:08 at the prospect of John falling in a Wendy's.
13:12 On the other--
13:13 - But he does want to laugh
13:15 at the prospect of John falling in a Wendy's.
13:17 - At the very least, I think I could go to Mid Journey
13:20 or one of these AI and say,
13:21 (laughing)
13:22 show me large chef fall in a Wendy's.
13:24 - Go ahead, I would not be offended.
13:26 - That's really the power of AI.
13:27 Make it so that we don't have to have accidents.
13:29 - Part of being me is knowing when situations
13:31 are too slippery and taking great care.
13:33 - What put it over the top was how pissed off he was
13:35 at how much danger he was in.
13:37 - I don't think I was that pissed off about that.
13:39 - Freaking flaws, that caused me.
13:40 - Also, that provided the base level of pissed off.
13:43 And then they got my chicken sandwich wrong twice.
13:45 - What was wrong about it?
13:46 It had tomato on it.
13:46 - It had tomato and no cheese.
13:47 It was supposed to have cheese and no tomato.
13:49 - Well, I think you could just
13:50 pull off the tomato yourself.
13:51 - Yes, but I wanted cheese.
13:52 - The cheese, I understand.
13:53 - My sandwich was wrong.
13:54 - Okay, no problem.
13:54 - They remake the sandwich.
13:55 They remake the wrong type of sandwich completely.
13:58 - It's chicken now?
13:59 - It's a different chicken sandwich,
14:01 like a different skew of chicken.
14:02 It's still wrong.
14:03 And then they make it again for me.
14:04 - You ended up with three sandwiches?
14:05 - Three sandwiches.
14:06 So if anyone would like a chicken sandwich with cheese,
14:09 that's the wrong type.
14:10 - So he goes up and I hear him in the distance.
14:13 Now I'm sitting at the table.
14:14 He goes, "Sandwich is wrong."
14:17 - I don't think I was that assertive.
14:18 - Yes, you were.
14:19 - Yeah.
14:20 (laughing)
14:21 Yeah, well, he deserved it.
14:24 The clerk was very defensive too.
14:26 He was like, "No, you didn't."
14:27 I was almost gonna call you in as a witness,
14:29 as a character witness.
14:29 - Really?
14:30 - This man's a good man
14:32 and he's about to fall on this floor.
14:34 - I didn't even mention the floor to them, but I coulda.
14:36 - Yeah, and what about the floor?
14:38 - What about it, sir?
14:40 - Most people don't fall on it.
14:42 - Yeah, but I'm not most people.
14:44 - You got some kind of a rubber creature workshop
14:45 sort of looking thing.
14:46 It's goblin good.
14:48 So the joke, you know, like how you gobble food.
14:50 - Sure, I get it.
14:51 - Do you think you could ever actually market a product
14:54 with a disgusting creature?
14:55 - I mean, there's famously the ecto cooler.
14:57 - How did that penetrate the market the way that it did?
15:00 - I had it every day for lunch
15:01 as if it was like a valid thing.
15:03 And so did everybody.
15:04 It was ubiquitous.
15:05 Just the idea that you could get my mom,
15:07 who's pretty health conscious,
15:08 to go to the store every day and buy me green orange juice.
15:11 - It was green sugar water with like vitamin C in it.
15:13 - Yeah, I remember thinking it was pretty good.
15:15 I mean, that's the power of Ghostbusters.
15:16 Until 2016.
15:17 - I refuse.
15:19 - I brought it out way off the highway
15:21 and shot it in the head.
15:22 We won't be needing this anymore.
15:25 - You won't be needing this.
15:29 - The Goblin Mac is a very basic looking Mac.
15:31 - Yeah, I'm sure it's more about the box
15:32 than it is the Mac.
15:33 But can't help but be morbidly curious
15:35 about what kind of Mac they're actually packaging
15:36 in that thing.
15:37 With collectible novelty items like that,
15:39 there is a question of like,
15:40 do you need to carry the food
15:42 or could you just sell the box?
15:43 My other question is like,
15:44 who's a big enough fan of Mandy?
15:46 What do you got there?
15:47 - She's too far gone to use.
15:48 - No, what are we gonna do?
15:50 - What are we gonna do?
15:51 I could go find another box
15:52 and pull the cheese out and pretend.
15:53 - Well, that's just a terrible lie.
15:55 - It's undergone a bad reaction to eat anymore.
15:57 - That looks like mold.
15:58 - Now I'm at a crossroads
15:59 because I've prepared butter and--
16:02 - Well, go get another thing.
16:03 - I'll go to go select a Mac
16:04 that I think will give a suitable cheese
16:06 for this experience.
16:07 - As usual, his pasta looks awfully good.
16:09 - Nice and plump.
16:11 - So with the Mac I have selected
16:13 is the Topps Free Cheese Shells and Cheese Dinner.
16:16 - Everybody at home just pretend
16:17 that this moldy Mac was eaten by us.
16:20 - Okay, we're putting the Topps cheese in.
16:22 - That's much less moldy.
16:23 - On Disney Plus, not my favorite streaming platform,
16:25 but they did release a,
16:27 I think it's called Mickey Mouse Trigger Treats.
16:29 I don't know if it's actually stop motion
16:30 or if it's just stop motion style.
16:32 It looks like it might've been actual stop motion.
16:34 22 minutes short, Halloween.
16:36 - Oh, that sounds amazing.
16:37 - You know what?
16:38 We watched it last night and it was pretty great.
16:39 Your introduction of goblins was Goblin King, right?
16:42 You remind me of the big.
16:43 - Well, what does the actual
16:44 Goblin Mac and Cheese look like?
16:47 - It just looks like a regular Mac and Cheese.
16:49 And what we found was that the cheese was rotten.
16:51 We waited too long.
16:53 Pure (beep) hubris.
16:56 (laughing)
16:59 - Sheer (beep) hubris.
17:01 - We pushed too far.
17:02 We thought.
17:03 - Icarus flew too close to the sun.
17:05 - Topps Goblin.
17:06 - Topps Goblin.
17:07 - Or Goblin Topps.
17:08 Let's try this Goblin Mac that we've created.
17:10 - A Goblin Frankenstein Mac.
17:12 Hey, you know, perfectly fine by me.
17:15 - It's tasty.
17:16 - Pretty good cheese and pretty generic noodles.
17:18 - Yeah.
17:19 So, clearly this product is just about the box.
17:23 - So probably Topps is really good.
17:25 No, this is yummy.
17:26 This is a no mold kitchen, Frankie.
17:28 We don't tolerate mold here.
17:29 - Yeah.
17:30 - This is actually a no mold kitchen.
17:31 We're trying a new thing.
17:32 It's a creator space.
17:33 - Yeah, blue cheese is allowed.
17:35 - It's delicious.
17:36 - Yeah, it's really good.
17:38 It's excellent, actually.
17:39 - Cut to the commercial.
17:40 - From Cher Goblin by Duffy, it's Goblin good.
17:44 - How far are we away from this sucker?
17:46 - Let me tell you, this was supposed to go a lot faster.
17:48 The chicken was supposed to be done
17:49 when the macaroni was done.
17:50 The trouble is that these chicken breasts
17:52 were freakishly large.
17:55 One was perfectly reasonably sized.
17:56 The other was monstrous.
17:58 - You want a Mac?
17:59 I'm going to give my child some Goblin Mac.
18:01 - So now I'm finally gonna pull the chicken
18:02 out of this pan now that it is cooked.
18:05 - That's a good bouquet.
18:06 - That's a very Matt thing to say.
18:09 - Misc slab of cheese, okay?
18:11 Right in the pan.
18:12 Right in the pan.
18:12 Here's a little pocket of American cheese.
18:14 - I gotta admit, I find this exciting.
18:15 - Right in the pan.
18:16 - Him taking these deli ends and throwing them onto a pan.
18:19 - You're really rolling the dice.
18:20 - You think so?
18:21 - A little bit.
18:22 - Don't you think the assortedness is kind of
18:24 exciting?
18:25 - Big piece of monster, right in the pan.
18:27 - Is it just because ends don't sell?
18:29 - Because they can't cut them.
18:30 The machines can't get that close to actually cut them.
18:31 - So it's not like yesterday's donuts.
18:33 - No.
18:34 It's just jelly cheese that's in an inconvenient shape.
18:36 - It's monster cheese.
18:38 - Would you like another batch?
18:39 My kid can't get enough of Goblin Mac with Topps cheese.
18:43 We're a very active family.
18:44 Around Halloween,
18:45 with everybody's schedules,
18:48 after school programs, and lots of sports,
18:52 we just need a quick, tasty,
18:53 and somewhat healthy snack.
18:56 - I concur.
18:57 - So what we do is we go straight to the Goblin.
19:00 He vomits up a nice big plate.
19:02 - So which was better, Monsters or the Addams Family?
19:04 - Addams Family, obviously.
19:05 - They appeal to different crowds.
19:06 Addams Family was more highbrow.
19:08 Monsters was more the everyday man.
19:10 - You think Addams Family was highbrow?
19:12 - A little bit.
19:13 - For the global elite only.
19:14 - All right, so I've got my cheese in there
19:18 and you can see it's just starting to bubble on the bottom.
19:21 And now I'm gonna add--
19:22 - Milkay.
19:23 - A little drop of milk.
19:24 - This is very visually interesting.
19:25 - It is.
19:26 - It's kind of like a cauldron.
19:27 - John's freakish science experiment.
19:29 Things are so hectic in our family,
19:30 we sometimes forget to feed our children.
19:32 That's why we let the Goblin do it.
19:34 - I'm massaging the cheese gently in the milk.
19:36 See how easily it comes apart now, EJ?
19:38 - What is a food from your childhood
19:41 that had a strong colored dye,
19:43 besides Ecto Cooler, that they would never do now?
19:45 - In my 20s, I went to Building 19
19:48 and they had a ton of the SpongeBob macaroni and cheese.
19:52 And that stuff cooks up with an ungodly blue.
19:55 It was insane and I bought like 15 boxes
19:57 because it was a dollar for a double box,
19:58 you know, 'cause I can't skip a deal.
20:00 And it made my stomach upset every time I ate it.
20:02 - Oh!
20:03 - Because it was so--
20:04 - 'Cause you were eating the blue food dye
20:06 at the cake that we had for the 100th episode.
20:09 And you were like, "I can't have blue."
20:11 And we were like, "What, the color?"
20:13 And he was like, "I don't know, I can't, blue."
20:15 - It's a little too blue for me to consume.
20:17 I have a sensitivity to super strong blue food dyes.
20:21 - Why blue specifically?
20:22 - I have no idea.
20:23 - Like as if you were born with a horrible defect.
20:25 And now I know that you said that
20:27 because you ran your body through some trials.
20:30 - Yes!
20:31 - I was like, "How does one know
20:33 "that like blue food dye gets me?"
20:34 It's when you buy 15 SpongeBob Macs
20:37 and insist on eating all of them for months.
20:40 - I only ate seven.
20:41 - Really?
20:42 You're like, "This is too blue."
20:43 - Do you now know not to buy all of the things
20:46 that are cheap just because it's a deal?
20:48 - No!
20:48 - Yeah, do you know that, John?
20:49 - Frank, you try a little of this juice out.
20:50 - I'm gonna try a little of this juice out.
20:51 - Ready? Here we go.
20:52 - This is pre-buffalo.
20:53 - Oh, Lordy.
20:56 This deli end thing might be genius.
20:58 Now I'm like, "Are you sure about this buffalo?"
21:00 It should be good though.
21:01 - So what I've got here is Sweet Baby Ray's
21:03 buffalo wing sauce.
21:04 That's the key.
21:05 - Yeah, that goes great on eggnog mac, if I recall.
21:07 - How about a little wing sauce?
21:09 Buffalo wing sauce?
21:10 - It makes it spicy.
21:12 - Really overpowering.
21:13 - Yeah, eggnog and Tabasco sauce.
21:15 - No wing sauce.
21:16 I think I'm crying.
21:17 - I went out to TJ Maxx with him not too long ago.
21:20 And what I learned was John skipped inflation.
21:23 He ordered from Walmart online throughout all of COVID
21:26 and continues to, and he does not go to stores,
21:29 any supermarket shops, at Market Basket
21:31 for perishables only, and he orders in all dry food.
21:35 And plus he doesn't have like housing costs.
21:36 So all the economic turmoil that everybody else experienced,
21:39 he skipped.
21:40 - I'm shielding, yeah.
21:40 - So then when he walks into a store and sees like,
21:43 "Wow, $11 for a fast food meal,"
21:45 he just about passes out on the greased out floor.
21:48 - Yeah, you're darn right I do.
21:49 - He didn't introduce it into his life gradually.
21:51 - How are you skipping out on the inflated prices
21:53 by shopping online?
21:54 It's still-
21:55 - I've moved down market everywhere.
21:56 - That's exactly right.
21:58 - Instead of shopping primarily at Market Basket,
22:00 I now shop largely at Aldi's and Price Rate
22:03 and supplement with Market Basket.
22:05 Whereas in the past, I used to shop Market Basket
22:09 and supplement with like Stop and Shop or Walmart.
22:12 - Do you recognize that the buffalo chickens
22:14 are coming home to roost eventually here?
22:15 He does not go to stores.
22:16 So when he goes to a store and he like looks at socks,
22:19 he's like, "I can't possibly buy these socks."
22:22 - There's our chicken.
22:23 Oh, Kyle, it looks like a brain.
22:24 - Look at this.
22:25 He's chopping into his Mac Mountain.
22:27 - Yep.
22:27 - Buffalo Mac Mountain.
22:28 He was so busy wondering if he could, he didn't stop.
22:31 [laughing]
22:33 - Oh, there it is.
22:35 - We're ready.
22:37 Let me ask you this.
22:38 - Yeah.
22:39 - What about the blue cheese?
22:40 - Oh, we can put it on top, sprinkles.
22:41 - What is it about?
22:45 All right.
22:46 - Cheers to Halloween.
22:47 - Cheers.
22:48 - Cheers.
22:48 - Virgin to bouquet.
22:52 It's got a spicy bouquet.
22:53 - If I was Matt, I would say,
22:54 it's got kind of like an interesting, like aroma,
22:56 like a, like kind of a creamy, I like it.
23:00 - Well, my first reaction is
23:01 nothing really beats a homemade Mac.
23:02 Having nice fresh chicken, I'm not used to it.
23:05 - Absolutely.
23:06 Even at Wally's, the chicken was prepackaged or canned.
23:09 - Yeah, right.
23:10 And then, you know, it's a good pasta choice.
23:12 The creamy cheese sauce pre-buffalo was so good
23:14 that one wonders.
23:15 - I know, the buffalo kind of takes over
23:17 the flavor a little bit.
23:18 - I've had buffalo Macs that are just too buffalo-y,
23:20 like that's not happening here.
23:21 This is quite good.
23:22 - Thank you.
23:23 - It's good.
23:24 I like the journey it takes me on.
23:25 Spicy, and then it's dank.
23:27 - Yeah, with the blue cheese.
23:29 - What?
23:30 - Yeah, I think it's a nice, respectable buffalo Mac
23:34 that's easy to make in your own home.
23:35 - It's respectable.
23:36 - It's respectable.
23:37 - Well, I am going to sit around the Halloween kitchen
23:40 and eat this.
23:40 And the gobbled mac was delicious.
23:42 Gloria, it was a hit with Gloria.
23:44 - So until we see you next time,
23:45 have a happy Halloween.
23:46 - My family is very active and needs Goblin Mac and Cheese.
23:49 (laughing)
23:50 - Cheddar Goblin, did you eat all the macaroni and cheese?
23:55 - Nothing's better than cheddar.
23:57 - Cheddar Goblin.
23:59 - Cheddar Goblin by Devane.
24:04 It's Goblin good.
