00:30 Day one Rakyat speaker Johari Abdul has called on members
00:33 of Parliament to refrain from discussing matters and issuing
00:37 statements concerning kafir and Zionists in the Day One Rakyat.
00:42 Johari expressed concern that several arguments presented
00:45 by MPs during the recent debate on the 2024 Supply Bill
00:50 were sensitive, hurtful, and divisive,
00:52 particularly since the current circumstances are not
00:55 appropriate for such language.
00:57 At the start of today's session, Johari
01:00 urged MPs to turn over a new leaf
01:02 and set aside the heated issues from the past week.
01:06 Citing parliamentary standing orders,
01:09 Johari also reiterated that personal matters brought up
01:12 and reported outside Parliament should not be raised or discussed
01:16 within the chamber.
