00:42The event commenced at 8am to the grand entrance of King of Malaysia, His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim
00:47and Queen Rajazharith Sophia, joining the Prime Minister, Cabinet Ministers, diplomats
00:52and other guests.
00:54The event kicked off with the rendition of the National Anthem, the raising of the Jalur
00:58Gemilang and a 14-gun salute.
01:03Corporal Muhammad Khairul Azhar Abi Paisa, a hero from the May 17th Ulutiram Police Station
01:08stabbing and shooting incident, led 66 students in reciting the Rukun Negara Pledge.
01:16The celebration was brought to life by a vibrant parade, featuring more than 17,000 participants,
01:2257 contingents, 22 marching bands and a mix of land and air assets.
01:28Visitors were captivated by an array of performances, including traditional instruments, dragon
01:34and lion dances, chinggai and more.
01:38The highlights included thrilling aerial performances by fighter jets and transport aircraft.
01:43The crowd-puller were the parade featuring the Armed Forces assets, the Royal Malaysia
01:48Police Mounted Unit and a unique dance performance, symbolising transparency and integrity.
01:56National athletes also joined the parade along with representatives from various ministries,
02:01government departments and agencies.
02:04This is the sixth time the National Day celebrations were staged in Putrajaya, with the previous
02:08editions being held in 2003, 2005, 2018, 2019 and 2023.
