00:25 and all these guys like he's not that guy.

00:28 Like I will say this as a as a disclaimer.

00:31 Now, I don't know the medicals on him.

00:33 I know there was an injury issue

00:37 that affected his combine and things like that.

00:39 Now, are the Patriots doctor saying like, look,

00:43 year one is going to be rough for him.

00:46 But if you manage him the right way, he has a chance

00:48 to get his explosive back as explosiveness back in year two.

00:51 I'm not going to discount that.

00:53 That could happen.

00:54 But the player that's out there right now,

00:57 he doesn't have much explosion like at all, like right now.

01:01 So if you're expecting some like him to turn into Justin Jefferson,

01:05 like what we've seen so far in the practice field and the game film,

01:08 that's a joke. He's not that player now.

01:11 Well, I say that he is.

01:14 He is a lot like Chris Carter, like all he does is catch touchdown passes

01:18 and like he's he's a good possession receiver.

01:21 I don't understand, like,

01:24 you know, why do you have Juju doing that?

01:26 Like, you know, and I'm just going to keep calling him Juju Sanu,

01:29 because that's what I see when I think it was Joe Murray

01:32 made the comp when I was on the other day, and I think it's apt.

01:34 Like he's just a small Juju Smith.

01:36 Hooster is a smaller Mohammed Sanu.

01:38 There's no there's no juice in the slot.

01:40 He's not going to get open.

01:42 You know, I'm sure he'll break a couple of tackles,

01:45 fall, you know, settle into a zone.

01:48 Anybody can do that,

01:49 including booty.

01:52 But so I have Parker Smith, Schuster,

01:55 Bourne, Thornton, Douglas and booty.

02:00 And I have Malik Cunningham as a wide receiver getting cut

02:03 back on the practice squad.

02:05 But I give up on booty.

02:07 I he's on the team.

02:10 He has had a really good couple of weeks.

02:12 And but do I think he's going to be a difference maker? No.

02:16 The player that we see right now, is he is he is he showing that potential?

02:22 No. Do I leave the door open slightly?

02:24 But if you're expecting a case on booty to be like a dominating

02:30 wide receiver and a difference maker this year for the Patriots, it ain't happen.

02:54 two of the preseason than he did in week one, where I think his brain was overwhelmed.

03:09 And again, it was a covered screw up, but I thought he kind of throttled down

03:12 a little bit on the slant that he took for a touchdown

03:14 to kind of create a little bit more of a window.

03:16 And then, you know, whatever.

03:17 Stacey overran at the middle of field was wide open.

03:20 I'm with you.

03:21 I don't think that this is someone we're talking about

03:23 who's going to like heavily impact the season.

03:25 But at this point, I didn't have him on my last one, but he was gaining.

03:29 And now I'm talking to people about Cunningham.

03:32 I just sort of flip the roles.

03:33 I think Booty gets on the roster, Cunningham's off the roster,

03:36 and you have a better chance of getting Cunningham to the practice squad.

03:39 Juju has been I thought Juju the first four or five days of camp.

03:43 I'm like, all right. Yeah, I see it.

03:44 It's you know, he's going to catch 75 passes for them.

03:46 That's just that's how it's going to be.

03:48 He's going to step into the to the Jacoby role and he's going to

03:52 he's going to win on crossers.

03:53 And, you know, like you say, don't break some tackles.

03:56 But since then, boy, it's it's been kind of been quiet.

03:59 And it makes me wonder if it's sort of going back to the reporting

04:02 I did in the offseason on him.

04:04 The knee is the knee.

04:07 Ever going to be 100 percent,

04:09 and is this what you're looking at now with the player?

04:11 And, you know, who knows?

04:12 Sometimes they're managing themselves out there.

04:15 Maybe the team's been managing a little bit, but like I need to see more

04:19 because, you know, it just hasn't looked great.

04:21 Parker is what he is.

04:24 The 50/50 guy, and I think I forget.

04:28 I don't know who said it.

04:31 Obviously, I said what I said about the receivers and I've you know, I've said

04:34 KB is his army back.

04:35 He's at least the last two and a half weeks.

04:37 He looks like a better version of what he was two years ago.

04:40 Stronger, more physical, certainly playing with more confidence,

04:43 a little more juice there.

04:45 But someone was making the remark, Greg, about

04:48 if you look at him from afar, you're like, well, they have all the right pieces.

04:51 Right. They got the big outside receiver and they got slot.

04:54 And and Gordon is this field stretching guy.

04:58 And then they said, when you get closer and closer and you start to look at it,

05:01 you go that I think you were comparing it to clothes.

05:03 They're like it's like designer clothes.

05:05 But then you get closer and like, oh, that button is loose.

05:07 And that zipper doesn't work.

05:09 And that's sort of how it feels.

05:11 They're just to me that they it's a middling.

05:13 It's a middling group.

05:14 It's a group that most people around the league that you talk to.

05:16 And I'm not talking about BD.

05:17 I'm talking about actual football people.

05:20 I think it's the bottom third group in the league.

05:22 And nothing really is, you know, unless Douglas gives you that

05:25 that juice and is out there on a regular basis.

05:27 I don't know that you can really change.

05:30 To the shell of what you are there.
