00:00 Hey guys, this is Jen, and I'm so excited to share with you this cute Korean style makeup tutorial.
00:05 As you guys know, I went to Korea recently, and I really enjoyed seeing the differences in makeup and how they apply them over there.
00:11 So I thought I would do this tutorial for you.
00:14 So today's look is a little bit sparkly, slightly, slightly edgy without being too intimidating or unnatural looking.
00:21 So I hope you guys enjoy watching it.
00:23 If you'd like to see this look, then keep watching.
00:25 So I started off using my trusty BB cream. This is my Skin79 VIP Gold BB Cream.
00:31 If you want to see a whole tutorial on how I applied this very BB cream, I'll leave a link right over here.
00:37 And you can just click over there and watch that video.
00:40 I covered up any hyperpigmentation spots with my Makeup Forever Full Cover Concealer in number 7.
00:45 This is an optional step. I set my makeup with powder.
00:49 This is my Tarte Smooth Operator Powder.
00:51 But if you want to get that authentic Korean look, you might want to skip the powder and leave your face a little more glowy.
00:58 I'm starting off applying a primer. This is going to help my eyeshadow to last all day.
01:03 I'm going to be using this lighter color in the Anastasia Brow Kit in Dark Brown.
01:07 Using small strokes, I'm just going to fill in as if I'm drawing little hairs.
01:12 The goal is to create a fuller brow shape.
01:15 We're also going to make the shape a little bit more straight across and less arched.
01:20 This is going to create a more youthful look.
01:23 We're going to take this Gunmetal shade from the Naked Palette.
01:26 And starting at the inner corner of the eye right here, I'm going to create a little half-moon shape.
01:31 This color is going to follow the ball of your eye.
01:35 And then you're going to taper it downward.
01:38 So it's going to go in the same shape as the curve of your entire eyelid.
01:43 So curve it at the top right there.
01:45 It's going to go parallel to your eyelid.
01:48 And then we're just going to pull the color down at the outer corner right here.
01:52 I'm using a charcoal gray color, which was one of the most popular eyeshadow colors I saw girls wear.
01:57 But you could also use a neutral medium brown as well.
02:01 Using the same color on a smaller brush, I'm just going to add this gently to the outer corners.
02:08 It's going to be very, very lightly.
02:12 We don't want to smoke it out too much.
02:14 Next, I'm going to take this Urban Decay Moondust Eyeshadow in Space Cowboy.
02:19 Just using my finger, I'm going to press this into my eyelid.
02:22 I like to put it just slightly above the line of the eyeshadow that I did earlier,
02:26 so that it kind of blends into the color of my natural eyelid.
02:30 So that's going to give it a little bit of glimmer and shine,
02:35 even if you have monolids, it's still going to show above your eyelid space.
02:39 I'm also going to take just a little bit on the inner corners of my eyes,
02:43 focusing right underneath my tear duct area right here.
02:47 That way, it gives a little bit of a teary effect to the eyes.
02:51 Next, I'm taking this highlight shade called Virgin,
02:53 and I'm applying this right underneath the brow bone and just blending it downward.
02:59 Next, I'm applying liquid eyeliner.
03:00 Koreans usually tend to like thicker eyeliner.
03:04 It's going to taper a little bit as it goes forward.
03:07 Unlike how I usually do my eyeliner, I'm not going to flick it upward or make too big of a wing going up.
03:13 The line is pretty much just going to go down from the highest point of your eye.
03:18 Next, I'm just curling my lashes and then adding mascara.
03:22 I'm using Urban Decay Cannonball Mascara.
03:25 I'm only using one coat of mascara because generally,
03:28 I don't see girls in Korea wearing too heavy eye makeup.
03:31 Next, I'm just going to apply these false lashes.
03:34 False lashes are actually surprisingly pretty common in Korea,
03:38 and a lot of places sell lashes for pretty cheap too.
03:41 Next, I'm just going to apply my Tarte Amazonian Clay Blush in Blissful.
03:44 It's a peachy coral color, which is really flattering on Asian skin tones,
03:49 and I saw a lot of people wear this kind of blush in Korea.
03:52 So I'm taking a flatter brush, and I'm just going to pat this more toward the apples of my cheeks.
03:58 I'm not going to do the angular look because they really like a dolly, youthful look.
04:03 So really just focus the blush in a little circle right near the front of the cheeks.
04:07 I also want to add a little bit of glow to my face, so I'm using Benefit's High Beam.
04:12 Just going to add a few dots on the top of each cheek,
04:15 and I'm just going to tap that in with my fingers.
04:18 You can also add this down the center of your nose bridge,
04:23 the top of your forehead, and right here at your chin.
04:25 And if you want, right here at your cupid's bow as well.
04:28 To finish off the look, we're going to do my favorite part, which is the lips.
04:31 So I'm using Benefit's Cha Cha Tint.
04:33 You guys know I've been obsessed with this color.
04:35 First, I'm going to apply this starting at the center of the lips right here.
04:39 Then we're going to add one more layer just toward the middle of the lip right here.
04:48 And then to finish off the look, I'm just going to top it off with a lip gloss.
04:58 I'm just using my Lio Elli Blooming Gloss in Orange Sherbet.
05:03 And that should leave you with some nice orangey tinted lips.
05:06 So this is the final Korean style makeup look.
05:09 I hope you guys enjoyed watching.
05:11 If you did, don't forget to subscribe and thumbs up this video.
05:14 This is Jen, and I will talk to you guys next time.
05:16 Bye!
05:17 Pop star-- no.
05:19 Korean style makeup--
05:20 day.
05:21 Next, I'm just going to apply my peachy coral lipstick.
05:25 This is Tarte Amazonian Clay--
05:27 It's like too much.
05:29 Amazonian Clay--
05:30 It's like too low or something.
05:33 Oh my gosh, that looks awful.
05:35 Is that supposed to be the simplest part?
05:37 Wow, what the heck?
