00:00 Today's video is going to be a makeup tutorial. Let me know what you think about this new
00:04 set up. I just set it up today and I really quite like it with my curtain behind me and
00:09 then my lights. But let me know what you think. I'm going to do something a little bit out
00:14 of the ordinary. I literally have most of my drawers of makeup out in front of me right
00:18 now and I just want to play. So, first thing I'm going to do is spritz my skin with some
00:23 Mac Fix Plus. So I'm just going to close my eyes and spritz it on. Just because I feel
00:28 like I need a bit of a refresh and a bit more moisture in my skin. Then I'm going to follow
00:33 that up. As my primer I'm going to use the Vitamin E Skin Care from Superdrug Moisture
00:37 Boost Facial Serum. My mum, this is my mum's and I think she got it to go on holiday with
00:43 and I used it the other day and I thought, "Oh, that'll be a really interesting primer."
00:46 But it's a serum. I really like the texture of it. I think it's just a lovely product
00:52 to use. The eye base I'm going to use today is my Urban Decay Primer Potion. Now I'm not
00:58 going to zoom into my eyes too much today because I don't particularly want to. But
01:06 I might just a little bit when I'm actually putting the eye shadow on. But I'm just slapping
01:10 some of this on and I'm taking it all the way around the eye socket because I also find
01:14 that it's a really nice primer for concealer as well. The next thing that I'm going to
01:18 do, since all my skin and everything's prepped now, I'm actually going to start with the
01:23 eyes. So on my eyes, I've got a large array of eye shadow colours to choose from. Start
01:28 off with a really light colour which is in my Urban Decay Vice palette. It's called Truth,
01:38 this one here. It's just a kind of pale, almost white pink. Also, I really want to apologise
01:45 about the state of my eyebrows. I'm going to try and sort them out. I go away next week
01:50 and I'm going to try and get them either sorted there or get them sorted just before I go.
01:56 I was going to pluck them before I filmed this video but I went out instead so I just
02:00 kind of want to get this video filmed. I want to do quite a classic winged out eye shape.
02:07 It's not very seasonal, it's not very summery but I really quite fancy it and it's been
02:11 in my head all day so that's the look I'm going to do today. I'm going to start off
02:15 by using the colour DTF which is a slate grey colour, quite similar to Copperplate from
02:22 MAC actually. I'm going to take this using that same brush. This was from a basic set
02:31 I got from TK Maxx ages ago. Because this brush has a triangle shape at the top, it
02:37 makes it really easy to just draw in but also the fluffy bit in it makes it easy to blend
02:43 out as well so I really like this brush for doing that. So this is just going on the outside
02:49 corner of my crease like this. I'm not really blending it, I'm just kind of placing it.
02:55 I'm then going to take the colour Defy which is a darker grey and I'm going to use a little
03:04 touch of that on the same brush and that's going in the same place. Now I'm probably
03:08 going to split this one amount on my brush between my two eyes because I don't want it
03:16 too dark too quickly. I do want to make sure that I build it up. This blush from MAC, it's
03:24 one of the Betty blushes, it's a peachy colour. I just think it'll be a nice contrast with
03:29 the colours we're going to use because the colours I want to use through my crease and
03:32 on my lid are greys so this will just give it a little bit of warmth and help everything
03:37 blend. And now that that's blended a little bit better with that blush involved with it,
03:50 what I'm then going to do is I'm then going to move on to an actual sparkly black colour
03:55 and I'm going to take this on a little tiny smudger brush like this. This is a Coastal
04:00 Scents one but it's really small and it's a sparkly black from that same Sleek palette
04:06 and I'm just going to kind of knock off the excess because I don't want this going everywhere.
04:11 And then I'm going to look ahead and place it right through my crease. This is almost
04:23 quite a cut crease 60s look. I'm just going to take whatever's left on it and just blend
04:29 over that. Black is incredibly hard to blend but I don't want kind of a really harsh line
04:40 so I'm just going to use a little bit more of that blush, top it off and then blend it
04:50 out. Great, back in with that smudge brush and I'm going to use the colour, this kind
04:56 of browny, bronzy colour here and I'm just going to kind of load my brush up with this.
05:04 And then this is going to go right in the centre part of my lid. Just slightly blending
05:14 inwards and outwards, just through that centre there and that's the only shimmer I want on
05:20 my eye, the rest is going to be matte. Then I'm going to wipe my smudge brush off again
05:26 and I'm going to go into the dark browns from my MUA Matte palette in Winter Forest. I'm
05:33 going to mix these two colours here, so the really dark, reddy brown and this kind of
05:39 more ash brown. And this is going to go on the outside, blending in and out towards that
05:52 wing so we have quite a sharp edge. You might need to build this a little bit. What I'm
06:22 also going to do is I'm actually going to keep the inside corner dark as well. Now you
06:26 don't have to do that, I just really want to because I want the focus to be around the
06:41 sparkly bit in the middle of the eye. So I'm just going to put that up to where it meets
06:48 that and then blend it a little bit too. I'm going to put a white eyeliner on the inside
07:12 of my lower lash line. So I'm just going to pull down my eyelid a little bit and put in...
07:23 that's actually no, I don't want that. I think I want green eyeliner. I'll have a look. I'll
07:32 come back and reassess I think. I'm going to move onto the skin and do the foundation
07:40 and then I'll move back onto the eyes, tidy those up and then I'll do the concealer as
07:43 the final touch. Now I have all my base products here in this little box and I'm just going
07:51 to pick at random. I actually want quite a full coverage makeup. I know this sounds really
07:56 odd because it's already quite dramatic but I want to use my Estee Lauder Double Wear.
08:04 This is in the shade Fresco and this is quite pink toned so I'm going to use the tiniest
08:17 dabble of this, you really don't need very much. I'm going to mix it with another two
08:22 foundations. You don't have to do this at all but I quite want to do it. I'm going to
08:29 mix it with a pump of my L'Oreal True Match in Toffee, like a tiny pump and then I'm going
08:39 to mix it with a pump of the L'Oreal True Match in the shade Golden Beige which is closer
08:47 to my shade and I'm actually going to mix this with my finger and place it on my skin
08:56 and then I'm going to buff it in with my Real Techniques contour brush. My Real Techniques
09:00 contour brush just does it all so nicely. I'm going to blend from the inside of my face
09:07 outwards, centre of my face outwards, sorry. I'm going to zoom out a little bit now. On
09:24 the rest of my body. What I'm going to do is I'm then going to spray my brush with some
09:33 Fix Plus. The reason I'm doing this is because I want quite a natural but seamless blend
09:49 and for some reason the L'Oreal True Match in that dark colour doesn't seem to blend
09:54 very well on me. It does on the rest of the colours, I've got two other colours in it
09:58 but for some reason that particular colour doesn't blend very well for me. So my brows
10:04 done. I quite like how that kind of works with the eyes and everything. Now I'm going
10:10 to move back onto the eyes and finish them off. So for my eyes I think I want quite cat
10:20 eyed eyelashes. Now I'm going to use these. These are the Red Cherry number 43's. They're
10:26 actually in a matte case because my Red Cherry cases keep breaking and I'm fed up of them
10:31 breaking so I put them in a matte case instead. And I'm going to apply these and come back.
10:37 I'm going to start off with a bit of concealer. The concealer I've chosen to use is the Revlon
10:41 Colourstay concealer. I love this concealer and I think it works really well. I'm going
10:45 to use two different brushes today. I'm going to use the Real Techniques Doolux Crease Brush
10:49 and the Pointed Foundation Brush. I'm using the Pointed Foundation Brush near the eyes
10:53 and then the Doolux Crease Brush everywhere else. The reason I'm using two different brushes
11:00 is just because the Pointed Foundation Brush gives me a little bit more control with the
11:07 angle of the eyeshadow. I can kind of clean up with that rather than using a rounded brush.
11:13 My skin isn't too bad at the minute touch wood so I'm just kind of concealing the obvious
11:18 places where you get a bit of redness and where I have a bit of spot. Where I have a
11:29 bit of discolouration from old spots. I blend that out with my Real Techniques Doolux small
11:36 Pointed Foundation Brush. Now I'm going to move on to some powder. I'm going to use my
11:46 Avon Innu Press Powder because I don't necessarily want a matte look. I just want my skin to
11:52 look kind of glowy but a little bit powdered. I'm just using a big powder brush. I really
11:57 like this powder brush actually. I'm going to go in with my MUA Matte Palette but this
12:09 time it's the Ever After Matte Palette, the first edition. I'm going to mix these two
12:27 colours here and I'm going to use them as contour. Put them right into the contours
12:45 of my cheek. Blend upwards on my cheekbone. I'm also going to take the same ones right
12:52 on the top of my nose. I have a really nice sculpted face. It might look a little bit
12:54 dirty and a bit weird now but it won't in a little while. I'm going to use the same
13:03 kind of concept but I'm going to go in with my fan brush and my Sleek Face Contour Kit
13:09 in Light which is a little bit more of a brownie colour. I'm going to just do the same thing.
13:19 I'm going to put it on the higher points of my face just so that it catches the light.
13:32 Because it's a nice icy pink it won't detract from the dramatic eyes or the lips. I think
13:39 I'm going more on the neutral side. I was going to originally put them with this colour
13:45 but I'm going to put them on top of that. This is a dark colour. This is called Beguiled.
13:51 It's too dark to put that with that. I think it would just not work. I'm going to use the
13:55 Essence Lip Liner in the Nude and I'm just going to put this all over my lips. You could
14:01 use a lipstick on top of this if you prefer. So, that's my finished look. I hope you enjoyed
14:13 the video. If you did, give it a thumbs up. Please stay tuned for more makeup tutorials.
14:18 I really am trying to get back into the swing of things and just kind of reignite my passion
14:23 for makeup and everything because it's such a good stress relief for me and it just helps
14:27 me kind of, I don't know, take my anger out. I take my anger out on my own face and my
14:33 makeup and it works brilliantly. So, that was everything. I hope you enjoyed. If you
14:37 did, give it a thumbs up. Don't forget to subscribe if you are new. If you like this
14:41 look and you want to see more like this, do give me a request down below or tweet me.
