00:02 Hey guys, so today I'm going to be doing
00:21 my first holiday look.
00:22 I am super excited to finally be doing this, oh my gosh.
00:25 So the story behind this, yes, there's a story, as always.
00:27 So I uploaded my vlogmas just a couple of days ago,
00:31 and if you guys watched that, then you would see
00:33 that I have my friends in town,
00:34 and that was like my little vacation,
00:35 and then I got sick to top it off,
00:37 and it's like the never-ending sickness.
00:38 But anyways, because of that, I haven't gotten around
00:40 to doing holiday looks, and I have all these ideas
00:43 and everything, and so last night I was setting up
00:45 my lights and everything to film this morning,
00:47 and I wanted to do something like really crazy colorful
00:50 and glittery and just like, ping, holidays.
00:52 And then I was like, you know what,
00:55 yes, those things might be fun,
00:57 but we're already in the middle of the month,
00:58 and I thought I wanna do something that's more neutral
01:01 and wearable for you guys that are actually watching
01:03 this video, because even though it can be fun
01:05 to watch something like glittery and over the top,
01:07 and like what, it's like, you know,
01:10 like not actually useful for the average woman.
01:12 And we're already in mid-December, so it's like,
01:14 I figured, let's just do something that like,
01:17 you guys can actually take tips from,
01:19 you guys can actually use for yourself at home,
01:22 you know what I'm saying?
01:22 So I love this look, and it's like a very soft cut crease,
01:26 we have some glitter in there, but it's not too much,
01:29 it's not overboard, I just think that this is very subtle,
01:32 but at the same time, screams the holidays.
01:35 You can pair this eye with any lip color that you want,
01:37 right now I am wearing OCC Lip Tar in the shade Harlot.
01:42 I thought I said Marlowe.
01:43 Harlot is what I am wearing, so yeah, oh my god,
01:46 and my teeth is wearing it too.
01:48 Thank you so much for watching, I love you guys so much,
01:50 I hope you enjoyed this tutorial, and I'll see you soon.
01:52 Bye!
01:53 So I am going to be starting off priming my eyes,
01:56 because we are going to start with our eyes today,
01:58 since we are using glitter.
02:00 I don't wanna start with my foundation,
02:01 because the glitter can fall down
02:02 and kind of ruin the foundation.
02:04 So, starting with eyes, I'm going in with MAC Kid Eyeshadow.
02:08 This is a great transition color.
02:10 If you're familiar with soft brown, it's kind of similar,
02:12 just a little bit cooler and lighter in tone,
02:15 which I absolutely love.
02:16 So using an E40 brush from Sigma,
02:18 I'm going to concentrate this on the upper crease of my eye.
02:22 I'm trying to kind of avoid the lid,
02:24 just because we are gonna do a soft cut crease today.
02:27 Now I'm going in with a Morphe eyeshadow,
02:29 and this is number 62.
02:31 This is a little bit darker than Kid,
02:32 and it's very neutral in tone,
02:33 so it's not gonna be too warm or too cool.
02:36 Using a Sigma E25, I'm going to just put that again
02:40 in that upper crease area, kind of trying to avoid the lid.
02:43 Once we have that on, I'm gonna go in
02:45 with another Morphe shadow, and this is number 15,
02:48 which is much warmer in tone.
02:49 I'm going to take a Makeup Geek blending brush.
02:51 You can go with the same E25, this was just laying there,
02:54 so I just used it for no really different reason.
02:56 But I'm going to again do the exact same thing with this,
02:59 and I'm going to just start buffing everything upward.
03:01 Again, just avoiding that lid for the fact
03:04 that we are doing a soft cut crease.
03:06 Then I go in with an E40 from Sigma.
03:08 Always, this is like the magic wand in my collection,
03:11 just to buff everything out
03:12 and make sure that we have no harsh lines.
03:15 Then I'm gonna go in with MAC Shroom.
03:17 This is very loved in my house, as you can see.
03:19 I go through probably, I would say, one of these a year,
03:22 'cause I just absolutely love it.
03:23 It's gorgeous all over the lid.
03:25 It's gorgeous as a brow bone highlight,
03:26 as a cheek highlight.
03:28 It works pretty much on all skin tones.
03:29 It's just a great color.
03:31 So using a 242 brush from MAC,
03:33 I'm going to just press this all over the lid,
03:35 and I'm going to help it to carve,
03:37 help carve out that lid area even more
03:40 so that we have more of a defined cut crease.
03:43 As you can see, I will push that up on the entire lid,
03:46 up into that crease area to kind of erase
03:48 some of the brown that fell down on our lid.
03:51 This will just help define it just a little bit more.
03:53 And then as always, I will go back with a blending brush
03:55 and just ever so slightly make sure
03:57 that we have no harsh lines,
03:59 'cause even though I'm doing a slight cut crease,
04:00 I still don't want it to be too harsh.
04:03 So now taking a Makeup Geek pencil brush
04:06 and Makeup Geek Corrupt Eyeshadow,
04:08 which is a very black intense shadow,
04:10 I'm going to just ever so slightly press this shadow
04:14 on my upper lash line, only on the outer corner of my eye.
04:17 This will give kind of like a romantic, soft, smoky effect,
04:22 but I love doing this only on the outer corner
04:24 and leaving the inner corner blank,
04:25 because I just think that it really gives you
04:27 like that cat eye, and it's just very romantic
04:30 as opposed to lining everything,
04:31 which can be a little bit more dramatic
04:33 and a little bit more harsh.
04:34 Plus this brush makes this step just like foolproof.
04:37 Anyone can do it.
04:39 Then I'm just gonna go in with a pencil brush
04:40 and literally just buff it back and forth
04:42 with really no rhyme or reason,
04:43 just so that it's not harsh whatsoever,
04:45 'cause I do not want it to be too black
04:47 or too intense at all.
04:48 I want it to be nice and soft and subtle.
04:52 So now for the fun part, I'm gonna be going in
04:54 with MAC Cosmetics Loose Glitter,
04:56 and this is in the shade Reflex Pearl.
04:58 This is a MAC Pro item.
04:59 Mine is from an old Wonder Woman collection,
05:01 but you can still get it online
05:03 on just their regular MAC Cosmetics website.
05:05 To adhere that to the eyes,
05:06 I am using Too Faced Shadow Insurance Glitter Glue.
05:09 I put this on the back of my hand,
05:10 and then I kind of pick it up with a 242 brush,
05:13 anything that's flat, and I press that glitter
05:15 all over the lid, and then I immediately put my brush
05:18 in the glitter, and I start dabbing.
05:21 If you do this, your glitter will not move.
05:23 It will not fall on your face, it will not crease.
05:26 This glitter glue is everything.
05:28 There are many different brands that have glitter glue,
05:29 but I just love this one.
05:31 It's like my tried and true.
05:32 It literally is like super glue for glitter.
05:35 I absolutely love it.
05:36 I've never had an issue with it.
05:37 So I put it all over my lid,
05:38 and then immediately, within 10 seconds,
05:41 I pack on that glitter while it's still tacky.
05:43 Now I'm gonna go in with Flutter Lashes in the style Kim.
05:47 Oh my gosh, I love these lashes.
05:50 They are so fun.
05:51 They're like Halsey's lashes, so they're not gonna go
05:53 on your entire lash line.
05:55 They're only gonna go on the outer corner,
05:56 but they are so cool.
05:59 I was not expecting to love them as much as I do,
06:01 but look at how awesome that is.
06:03 Like, it's just a little extra something.
06:05 So I didn't wanna go overboard with the lashes,
06:07 because I wanted the inner corner to be nice and subtle,
06:10 and kind of blank, and I wanted the outer corner
06:12 to have more of like a romantic, kind of flirty vibe,
06:15 so I love these lashes for that purpose.
06:17 I'm going to be priming my face,
06:19 and I'm using Hourglass Veil,
06:21 and I'm just gonna rub that all over,
06:22 and then I'm gonna go in with, what do you know,
06:25 the same foundation as always.
06:27 Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk.
06:28 I'm using shade 6.5, and no,
06:31 it does not match my face whatsoever,
06:33 but it does match my neck,
06:34 and that is what we want to color match it with.
06:37 I need to get my Sunless Tanner on, though,
06:39 because this is not a good look for me.
06:42 So yeah, remind me to do that later.
06:44 Thank you, moving on.
06:45 I'm going to go ahead and conceal my under eye area.
06:48 I'm using MAC Pro Longwear Concealer,
06:50 which is tried and true, absolute favorite concealer,
06:53 ever, ever, ever, ever for the under eye area.
06:56 I'm mixing shades NW20 and NW25,
06:59 just to get my perfect color.
07:01 I really wish that they would make like an NW22.5,
07:03 because hello, I need it up in here.
07:06 Using a damp beauty blender,
07:07 I'm just going to blend that concealer out
07:09 towards the temples, just to kind of give
07:11 a slight sculpted, lifted look to the face.
07:14 Then I'm going to set my under eye concealer.
07:15 As always, I'm using Anastasia Banana Powder
07:18 from her contour kit.
07:19 I also mix it with MAC Pro Emphasize Shaping Powder.
07:23 I am using a tapered highlighting brush from Sigma,
07:25 which is ideal for that under eye area.
07:28 Then I'm going to use a mineralized skin finish
07:29 from MAC in shade Medium Plus,
07:31 and I'm just going to put powder on my nose,
07:34 because I don't like a shiny nose.
07:36 I'm totally out of focus here for my brows,
07:38 so I'm just going to move right past that,
07:39 because I just did a brow video,
07:41 and I will link it down below.
07:43 So after my brows, I am highlighting my brow bone
07:45 using the same color that we used on the lid,
07:48 which is Shroom by MAC.
07:50 Then to finish off the eye area,
07:52 I'm going to take the same black shadow from Makeup Geek,
07:55 and I'm going to just put that only on the outer corner
07:57 of my lower lash line,
07:59 and then buff it out with a pencil brush.
08:01 As you can see, it took two seconds.
08:03 I don't really want it to be perfect under there.
08:05 I want it to be a little messy,
08:06 just to kind of give that soft, romantic feel.
08:09 And then on the inner corner,
08:10 I'm just going to highlight as well,
08:12 using any highlight that you want.
08:14 I think I'm using Shroom here.
08:15 I might be using Crystal Avalanche,
08:17 'cause they're right next to each other in my palette,
08:19 but whatever you want.
08:20 I'm putting a quick coat of mascara on my lower lashes.
08:23 I'm using Rimmel Lash Accelerator from the drugstore.
08:27 So that is our completed eye look,
08:28 and now to finish this off, we will move to the face.
08:31 I'm going to use MAC Studio Care Blend Press Powder
08:34 in the shade Dark, which is technically a face powder,
08:36 but like I've said many times before,
08:38 I love using face powders for sculpting the face,
08:40 because I think that they usually are the softest ones,
08:43 and most blendable, since they are designed
08:45 to be a full coverage foundation.
08:47 I typically like those the best for contouring.
08:49 So using a Makeup Geek blush brush, I believe this is,
08:52 I'm going to just put this on the temples.
08:54 I'm gonna contour a little bit,
08:55 and then I'm gonna go in with a Morphe MB5,
08:58 and just buff all this out,
09:00 so that it looks more like bronze,
09:01 and not like, (grunts) in your face contour.
09:04 Then I'm gonna go in with Becca Flower Child.
09:06 I wanted some pinky cheeks,
09:08 and I am going to be using the Morphe, what is this?
09:12 This is the Morphe M, no, G8.
09:14 The Morphe G8 as my blush brush.
09:16 I absolutely love this brush for blush.
09:19 It's like my favorite right now.
09:21 For highlight, I'm gonna go in with Artist Couture.
09:24 This is the Diamond Glow Powder,
09:26 and I am going to be mixing the shade Conceited,
09:29 and yes! (laughs)
09:32 I can't take myself seriously when I say that.
09:34 I'm gonna be mixing those two colors,
09:36 and highlighting my cheekbones.
09:37 I'm gonna be honest, this looks way better in person.
09:40 The camera is picking it up very chunky,
09:43 which I am not happy about,
09:44 but in person, these really are very beautiful.
09:47 To complete this look, you can pair any lip color you want,
09:50 but I did choose to use OCC Lip Tar in the shade Harlet,
09:53 and I will put the lip liner that I matched it with
09:56 in the description box down below.
09:57 So that completes this tutorial.
09:59 I hope you guys enjoy.
