Joseph Earl Longeria was born December 17, 1932 in the small town of Zwolle (Louisiana). Joseph released his first LP in 1958 under the pseudonym Curley Long ("Blues Just Walked In / Don't Lock My Love Outside"), after which others followed. Joseph played with Doug Sham, Barbara Lynn, Aaron T Bone Walker, and in the 60s with Johnny Winter, Dr. John, Link Davis, Joe Barry and others. Recorded in Memphis, Tennessee at the legendary American Sound Studios, Stoned Age Man was released in 1970 on the obscure Scepter label. The project was named after Joseph, the names of other musicians are unknown, but there were as many as three producers - Chips Moman, Mark James and Glen Spreen, two of whom gladly joined the studio work on recording the record. For example, Glen Spreen played keyboards. Heavy psychedelia with nervous and hoarse vocals a la Chris Farlow. In 1978, the Cajun Records label released two long-playing records of the musician, where Joseph appears under the name Joey Long and where he gives out not only rock and roll of the 50s, but also blues rock. Joseph appeared on stage many times. He died in 1995 from a heart attack.
