I Could Be Wrong (Poetry with Music)

Lyrics:

I Could Be Wrong

You left a note on the front of the refrigerator
It said you were thinking of becoming a traitor
All the credentials were left on the counter
You’d taken all the cash and transferred the funds
I thought you’d make it clear it would be life long
But I guess it’s true I could be wrong

They were hanging onto the pumps and wires
They were sold bad blood by the falsifiers
It’ll clean up my whole system they said
The tube's recycling everything inside of them
The young were looking for their lives to prolong
I thought they’d lost it but I could be wrong

The soldiers are spilling over the wall and border
They’re all tripping over each other in disorder
Their chants are waking up the old residents
Who don’t know what side of the fence wants this
This probably happens when your hero’s Mao Zedong
Though I’m not sure and I could be wrong

The mob is breaking down my gate
They’re angry and that’s their main trait
The resort won’t hold up much more like this
This what I get for draining all the resources
This really could end up being my swan song
But I guess I could be really wrong

The desperate are asking me what to do
Options and ideas well I’ve got a few
People are talking over each other
The arguments are getting too hard to follow
I’m going back and forth like a ping-pong
Which is what happens when I could be wrong
