There are endless variations of Korean pancakes, and one of it is Gamjajeon. This crispy korean potato pancake is basically made from grated potatoes, but I like to make it smooth, so I'm using food processor. It is also way much simpler.
We gotta work fast handling the potatoes, because they tend to oxidize, but don't worry, this gamjajeon recipe only needs less than 15 minutes to be done.
I like mine crispy, this korean potato pancake almost tastes like potato chips, so I always make it thinly. But feel free to adjust the thickness to your liking.
I add grated cheddar cheese here to make it more savory and tasty, if you're vegan, please omit the cheese.
How to make korean potato pancakes (gamjajeon 감자전) , you'll need :
500 gr potato
1/2 medium onion
100 ml water
salt
4 chives
50 gr grated cheddar cheese
sauce :
2 tbsp soy sauce
1/2 tsp white vinegar
1/4 tsp sesame seeds
1/2 big red chili
