The Celtics lost badly vs the Nets on the same day ESPN published a story about Boston's issues, the talent drain after Kyrie Irving and Gordon Hayward left, along with a sentiment from league sources that Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum don't make teammates better. One went as far as to say Tatum cares about winning only on his terms, happy with scoring 39 points in a win, but not as much 17 points in a win. Bobby Manning and Josue Pavon weighed the criticism of the Celtics from TD Garden, maybe not fitting over the recent stretch of solid play, but possibly befitting a team with big picture uncertainty.
